Absolutely wonderful customer service and beautiful people here. Fish n chips was delicious and generous portions with both buts and chips. It was absolutely flat out when we went over the long weekend and the wait time was really reasonable. Would certainly return!

I enjoy the garlic chips, the chips are crisp and the garlic butter is in its own little container so the oil doesn't go anywhere. The hot dogs are fantastically crisp with a decent amount of batter. My husband enjoy the loaded fries - chicken, bacon and cheese with tomato sauce and mayonnaise. All reasonably priced too. It's pretty popular so there can be a little wait, but they get your order out efficiently

Not often do you get an awesome batch of cooked under-done chips in the Manawatu. Reminds me of my childhood when all takeaways used to cook like this. Couldn’t recommend Grumpys more! Steak wraps are also divine just forgot to take a photo of it like I did the fish and chips.

Saw the reviews and thought we would try it out, I was shocked to see they did salads, wish every fish and chip shop would offer that too. I got the chicken and bacon salad with ranch and it was really decent size and so yum!! Nice the husband could get the hot stuff and I could get what I wanted from the same place...thanks for giving us all options 😉

Fish was delicious and the curly fries were tasty and crunchy 😋. Hubby had the venison 🍔 (kiwi style with beetroot) 🍟 crunchy and fluffy like they should be. We will be back.

Our whole family love Mr Grumpys and make a special trip out to Foxton whenever we're over visiting. The fish is always fresh and full of flavour. The chips are great and they do some amazing salads too

At Mr Grumpy's Takeaways, you are welcomed by friendly staff who provide good service and great food. The fish and chips are always good, not too greasy, and the Hawaiian burger is delicious - a family favourite. Good value and great food.

Couldn't believe the number of people coming through the door. This was on a weekday too. Really efficient staff who got through the orders very quickly & with a smile. Heaps of choices written clearly with prices shown on a huge board & easy to see. Excellent service. Food was delicious too. Highly recommend!
