Review Little Korea - Hamilton

Food is most authentic out of all the Hamilton restaurant. Their LA Galbi and spicy tofu soup are my go to menu. i so agree with many comments that male server (who's owner of the restaurant) he's always grumpy although his wife who's chef she's so kind and humble. i had lovely chat with her twice when i dine in with my family. to improve their service, i highly recommend them to get a waitress or waiter to provide a better quality service because food is exceptional. also make sure they do close super early so try to go there early as you can. (they seem closing after 7.45pm)

Authentic food and authentic experience. The ambience is rustic authentic too. Overall a really nice experience. Very genuine. It was a Tuesday night and the guy cooking was doing everything. Needless to say not a big night Tuesdays. This was close to the quality of our favorite Korean in Christchurch, which is hard to beat. Would definitely visit again when in town.

One of the best Korean restaurants that we have tried. The beef, the tofu, Seafood and the chicken ; those are all wonderful. We visited on the Tuesday afternoon and it's not busy at all. Friendly staff and efficient service.

Great vegetarian options that were tasty! Dumplings & kimchi tofu stew are delicious!! Staff were lovely :)

Food was great! Service was good as well, only one man that takes order and gives them out as well, if restaurant is busy he might need help but he was friendly. Will go back again to try other dishes.

Wonderful bulgogi (Korean BBQ) right in the centre of Hamilton. The food was tasty, the service friendly and the atmosphere relaxed. Recommended!

The operater(old guy) at the counter is very sweet. Good customer service. Also the food is very good. I loved it. And for a good cost. Absolutely love the place for dining alone as well.

home cooking goodness. i often order kimbap for takeaway after dinner to enjoy as my work lunch the following day. try their seasoned crispy chicken, thats our favorite.

the owner was really friendly and cute! we had the BBQ and the meat was so nice, juicy, delicious! 10/10 would def be back to try other dishes! highly recommend this place as I have been to aarang and their food was not as authentic as here!

We celebrated my brother’s birthday here and we enjoyed the food. It’s so tasty and flavourful. Good serving size as well. We have to wait for about 15 minutes for our food though as it was really busy when we came in. However, the one and only front of house staff at that time is really nice and accommodating even though she’s multi-tasking.

The owner was v kind and lovely for letting us dine in even though it was close to closing time. Ordered the bbq for four and it was exactly what we were after. If only there was more...

Little Korea is very homey!! The staff is very polite and also food is very pleasant. The food price is reasonably cheap compare to other Korean places in Hamilton. I highly recommend this place, if you are in a mood of a casual dine in.

Little Korea is a great place for delicious Korean food. The bulgogi beef hotpot noodles I ordered came with a complimentary bowl of rice and there were the usual side dishes as well.<br/><br/>The portion was surprisingly generous for a relatively cheap eat in Hamilton. I also found the broth very flavourful and like drinking liquid bulgogi. It was addictingly good. I found it went really well with the rice and would soak a spoonful in the broth. There were all sorts of vegetables, tender beef and glass noodles that soaked in the broth as well. I also liked that chili oil was provided separately so that it wasn't spicy and you could spice it up to your liking. The soft boiled egg was a beautiful touch to the bowl of umami.<br/><br/>The owner was also very friendly, although they seemed to be the only one there that night. There are several tables and a very nice Korean decor, so I suspect it must get busier on other nights. Don't miss grabbing a hard Korean mint at the till on your way out to round out the experience.

Because of this restaurant, my love for Korean food especially grew, it’s one of the best. Would recommend too everyone for that quiet night out, or with the kids for their too-die-for Korean sushi and Korean BQQ. lovely,Respectful staff, delicious food, good prices and overall very calming atmosphere. So if you love Korean food, little Korea should be on your list. ✌🏾✌🏾

Good food but it was ...small yet so expensive. The staff was ok. The waiter didnt hear another order of mine so we had to say it again. Its probably because its near closing time.

Went for the lunch, which was fantastic. Like the decorations which are Korean style. Dishes in the menu are limited and not too much compared with other restaurant, but the food is excellent. Nice place for a meal, quite but located in the city

Fantastic service, the bbq table is awesome but it would be awesome to get more side dishes or rice without having to ask every 10 minutes. :)

Went here for dinner with family. Very busy with only one girl working out front. Took a bit long for the foods but overall the foods and service are excellent

Was spectacle at first but was pleasantly surprised on how the food tasted - awesome! Definitely coming here regularly now for my korean fix. Staff was really friendly and the place wasn't so bad. Maybe a little music to fill the air so it wasn't too quiet.

There's a lot of Korean restaurants in Hamilton and this one isn't one of the good ones.. the quality of the food is sub par to those of other Korean restaurants. It's not very ambient to sit it. Staff inattentive. The redeeming feature is that they have good complimentary side dishes.

One of the better Korean restaurants in the Tron. We haven’t tried their BBQ (which looks fairly expensive), but we’ve ordered several of their traditional Korean dishes, and all have been pretty satisfactory. The soft tofu stew with hot chili paste is one of our favourites, and the honey soy chicken, beef bulgogi, and chicken soup are all decent.

Always a pleasant dining experience. We have been here many times. Restaurant is always clean & staff are very friendly. The Beef Rib soup with Rice is delicious.

It took more than 10 minutes to get our order. Then after another 5 minutes of waiting, they got back to say that the pork belly we've initially ordered is not available. First impression = totally disappointed with the service. The beef and chicken bbq were alright. The side dishes were in very small servings. We had better experience in other korean restaurants.

I have been to little Korea several times now to partake of their wonderful cuisine and the food now is as good as the very first time that we visited.<br/>I would recommend the restaurant as a great place to eat as the food is great and the service is excellent.

After living in Korea for two years, I fell in love with the food. Little Korea makes one of the best kimchi soups and bibimbaps. All the side dishes are delicious and the staff are very attentive. The chef even came out to check on us. They know us there by name now!

I never write reviews however felt it was absolutely necessary to praise Little Korea. Hands down the BEST restaurant in the region and definitely exceeds anything in the Bay of Plenty (where I live). My partner and I travel from Tauranga to come and dine here, it is that exceptional. We have now been 4 times and each time the food has been consistently wonderful (we have ordered different items each time), the service fantastic and portions were definitely more bang for your buck. Their menu has something for everyone; for the adventurous, delicious spicy seafood dishes and many marinated table Bar B Q options and for the not so adventurous, easy but exciting chicken and beef dishes. If you find yourself in Hamilton or willing to drive out of your way, Little Korea is well worth the effort. Do not be fooled by the simple and modest decor, the food and service are absolutely fantastic. I just dined last night and already planning to make our next visit out there!

Trying to find somewhere decent to eat on the trip from Auckland to Rotorua and stumbled here late on a Monday night. What a treat! Service and food were fantastic and how lucky were we that they stayed open to accommodate us on a Monday night after 9pm! Will be back!

Me and my husband absolutely enjoyed our first time to eat here in Little Korea. Food was great and staff were nice. The food arrived a bit longer than expected though, but overall a great place! Would definitely recommend to friends! :)
