Great place for a buffet dinner, especially if your group your dining with are big eaters. Very friendly staff and DELICIOUS fresh food! Would definitely eat here again and would highly recommend to all!

Excellent value for money. Good variety of nicely cooked food, very tasty. I love seafood even though they only have fresh prawns battered prawns and seafood salad, they always yum. Yummy desserts and excellent customer service. Definitely going back.

Affordable Chinese buffet style restaurant with lots of options, my favourite here is duck and BBQ pork, they are amazing))) all the other dishes have quite overage taste, but anyway there are enough variety to choose from👌 Desserts are not bad, wontons have carrot in the filling, dumplings have a lot of chives, just be ready for that😂 Service is always polite here, all the tables are cleaned up in time👌👌👌

With a wide range of dishes there's something yum for every palate. My favourite was the sweet and sour wontons. Desserts were tasty and with a nice cup of tea at the conclusion felt extremely satisfied.

Venue was perfect for holding my dad's 80th birthday. Service was absolutely lovely and food was amazing! Thankyou owners and staff for making it a wonderful day

A nice oriental style all you can eat buffet restaurant based in Hamilton 5 cross roads. First time I've ever eaten in an all you can eat place. Food was equal to any other Chinese takeaways I've been to. Celebrated my wifes birthday there so personally I had a great time. Can't wait to try out another buffet restaurant in the future.

We ordered through Uber eats. Ordered Dumplings, Wontons, Lemon Chicken and Honey Chicken. Absolutely delish! The dumplings were so flavourful and fresh, the Wontons had a really extra umami about them and we're so crispy and both the lemon and honey chicken were very yummy. Even better, the prices are great! $6 for 6x Wontons and $10 for 10 dumps. Defi itely a great place for a cheap, but tasty feed!

Meal was decent. Nothing outstanding but nothing bad either. + Some of the most tasty and affordable spring rolls & won tons I've come across. + Prices are pretty good. + Steak stir fry veg was really yum 😊 nice and tender with a delicious sauce. + Easy to use website when ordering online. - sweet and sour pork wasn't very crispy.

Surprisingly pretty good! I would probably dine in next time so I can try the other things. The honey chicken and sweet and sour pork was mad decent though, perfect crunch, perfect meat to batter ratio in there. The other dishes has their own individual taste too. You know how sometimes you get smorgasbord and everything starts tasting like two things? Yeah these were pretty decent 😊 Would come here again if I felt like eating smorgasbord in Hamilton

This place was great! I came with my family of seven and the food was awesome as well as the customer service, they are welcoming but not overly interactive which I enjoy since I like eating in peace. Food was well cooked and tasted amazing. Overall it was a really good restraunant. The prices aren't too bad, but it's a good place for a filling meal.

Great selection, great atmosphere, polite courteous customer service. I recommend you book a table because the place gets packed.

I quite liked it, big selection of food and the smorgasbord was a good deal with lots of variety. Left full and satisfied.

I go here just for the orange chicken nibbles. Worth going for that alone. Im always thinking about this place.

Went to this place on one hungry afternoon. This is a well known place in and around claudelands, serving sumptuous Chinese food. They essentially are a buffet place serving a wide range of Chinese dishes. At lunchtime the prices are reasonable and it's surely worth the money.<br/><br/>When I had lunch here I loved crab sticks, fried chicken, beef curry and fried noodles were just superb. I had a great time here for sure. The menu changes almost everyday so can't really rate the food but I am sure one is bound to feel that the food is worthy of the money one is gonna pay. The food is not authentic Chinese though, as it is made keeping everyone else in mind but it's surely tasty nonetheless. Must visit when light on pocket and want to eat variety of dishes. 😎

Have been a customer for years. best value for money here; food is always decent, personal favourite the noodles, best in town. Always clean and never had any health problems with my family at all. Accommodating staff, friendly too, very efficient. Desserts are decent too. More than what you would expect from the price you pay.

Was kapai but not kapai, id say for an all you can eat its kapai but quality of pork, fish and deep fried potato was a little dissapointing. Thank you for filling the puku tho, much appreciated😊 wouldnt really recommend it to anybody "we" know.

Cheap all you can eat . We have gotten ill tummies each time we go , weather that’s because of overeating or the possibility of minor food poisoning not sure . Not many buffet place in Hamilton so it’s good value for big families

Come here regularly. Sometimes the food has been sitting for a long time, and other times the range is not consistent but I love the BBQ pork, roast pork, dumplings, soy sauce chicken and prawns.

This site needs to be upgraded prices are wrong. This needs a lot of help. Needs better info about menu as prices are 3 years old and some of the items are no longer available<br/>

Am a regular to this restaurant. Food has been the same since first visit back in 2006, however there are great food items that are must-eats (sweet and sour pork, duck, dumplings served @ dinner, cheesecake, brownie slice, and trifle) Always full by bus-loads during 11am-2pm, so avoid then if you want to have a more calmer dining experience. Staff are nice and always clear tables efficiently. Ironically, it is usually the other customers who make the dining experience rather bad, as have had MANY other dinees pushing in buffet line, pushing in front of paying queue, bumping into one another, and more. So avoid the heavy hours... Place does need an uplift appearance wise, and toilet needs fixing (always smells and is near the door)

Haven't been very impressed with this place the last couple of visits. Use to be a good place to take the family. Has got more expensive but lacks quality, food is crap and felt sick afterwards. We always go for dine in but food is no fresher. The soup if there is any is gluggy and grose, there is never any dumplings and the duck is always full of fat. Dessert hasn't changed but become less and less so no real advantages to paying more to dine in anymore. The Place Decor is so outdated and hasn't changed in the 15+ years it has been there. Such a bad set up where you pay and serve up. Seriously time for some renovations and an up grade on quality of food. Won't be back until there are some changes.

Wow, this is seriously the worst Chinese food in Hamilton, in fact I think it is offensive to call this Chinese food.. if you want to eat buffet and stuff yourself up with tasteless junk go ahead. If you want to order from the menu, please don't, $15 is much better spent in any other place in Hamilton. All you get is a plate of msg sludge.

We dined with 6 adults, 1 senior citizen and a 1 year old. The food was devine and there was plenty of it. The price was great for a family eating out. Unfortunately the customer service was shocking. It seemed an effort to show us to our prebooked table - we were pointed in the direction but I was unsure which table as there was no highchair (prebooked). With a sigh we were shown to our table. We had to ask for a high chair, then we had to ask for water which arrived without glasses, after waiting a while we had to ask for glasses which were then bought out - the waitress lifting  the glasses off the tray 2 at a time using her fingers inside the glasses!!!!   Each time we apologised for having to ask and thanked them politely when we got things but never once did they speak, smile or even acknowledge us when we spoke.  It doesn't take much to at least have a smile on ones face. We will definitely continue to get our takeaways  ...... but as a dine out experience it was really disappointing.

This is a awesome place to have a great kai love this place if u would a nice place to have a good feed with happy people serving this is the place to go and for the whole family

Golden Dragon is a very nice afordable chinese restaurant. It is a great place for the family because of its large round tables and delicious buffet

i have been here for lunch and dinner. Very well prepared food, clean and plenty of it which is always replaced so that you are seldom left waiting. Dinner cost a bit more but then there is more offered. They provide water free for those that don't drink alcohol plus tea and coffee and desert. The price for there meals are the cheapest in Hamilton. If I was to try and find something wrong it would be that it gets a bit to packed with people sometimes and the menu is always the same and the venue is a bit outdated. Still they have to make money and to have a proven menu is really all that should really count. Also discounts for gold card holders. Excellent really overall for those that want to dine from time to time so as not to get bored with the menu.

I've had lunch and dinner and would say it was very good, dinner was better as it offered more food. The staff are friendly and are very quick to clean up after you and take plates away from the table. We were a very large group about 60-75 people and even being very full and busy that night we did not wait long for any of the dishes and even though they serve the same food every night it was still enjoyable but one thing is that it did get a bit too hot inside the restaurant and I do not think the air con is working very well as I have been there many times and have had the same problem but would still go there again.

I love the Steak and Mushroom dish, very funky feeling after eating this mushroom. Asked chef why so tasty and he say 'me plenty mushroom here'<br/>Many dish to choose, so many i was confused. I love to taste the kumyung sumgii. Fung gu.

I've been to a few Chinese Restaurants around Hamilton and no other can out-do the Golden Dragon. This is my favourite place to eat asian, chinese food - Lots of variety and plenty we're familiar with. Along with a salad bar &amp; sushi to boot. Light dessert is available with coffe/tea on hand. You can request water and it's always served chilled in a bottle. Lovely modern surroundings and great service. Prices are affordable and what's better than a Buffet (all you can eat!) ....

Great restaurant for big families. The price is ridiculously low but the smorgasboard still has a good variety (including western, chinese, sushi, deserts).

I like the fact that the food here has MSG. Its a good restaurant with nice staff although I dont eat there anymore as after awhile you stop feeling like eating chinese.
