The first time ever. We ordered a tasting paddle of 5 beers/ciders which came with a side of pretzels, all for $21. Plus it had a very unique food delivery system... a robot.

the service from finlay was fantastic he offered me a fantastic NZ IPA when i was on holiday last week was a great guy . Well done to whoever hired this great young man.

Was our first time here. The staff is really helpful and friendly and the decor and feeling of the place is awesome. We had food from Eat Burger which was also amazing. I loved how patient the staff was with multiple split orders from the Taphouse and Eatburger. I will definitely recommend them to anyone looking for good food, good beers with good friends and great service.

Nice ambience here at The Local and we love how they are attached to EAT 💜 enjoyed our Espresso Martini’s and were well looked after by the lovely Lee 🌸

Very nice place for dinner, the American platter is very well portioned and enough to share for 4 people. I would definitely recommend the $10 mussel pots when they are avalible but one small thing is the meat given with the corn chips was very unappealing and needs to be presented better. It looked dry and awful but in reality the taste was actually pretty good.

Great place if your hanging out for a beer and burger. Recommend IPA and Dirty burger. Delivery to table is also a little novel.

Ok, it's called "s"moors" or something like that. Apparently it's an American dish. So, you gotta try this if your a sweet tooth. It's dynamite! I ordered it again but takeaway this time. I mist confess, I couldn't finish it for the 2nd time. However, I will take a third attempt in the near future. It's made of roasted marshmallows and maybe nuttella or some other rich chocolate. It's served with these biscuits (cookies). I dare you to try it! Highly recommend the Waikato burger and the milkshake too!

We are holidaying in Hamilton and really glad we chose this spot for dinner. The burgers were amazing - we had a Big Chief, a Dirty and a kids cheeseburger and they were all great. There was a wait (busy Saturday night) but staff let us know before we ordered. Really nice beer too. The APA was delicious. The kids enjoyed picking songs and the booths were comfy. Great value too which was the icing on the cake.

When this pork belly hit the table I was excited!! It looked beautiful 😍😍 the pork was cooked to perfection but that’s where it stopped. Where was the sauce!!!! The purée was scarce and it was ruined by what I think was schechuan peppers 🤬🤬 It also came with a few slivers of pear that might have been fried or baked im not sure, it wasn’t that great

Went for drinks and some snacks with a friend. Beers are normal priced, but food is too expensive for the quality. Would only recommend this place for a drink.

Nice location and environment. The potato skins were a great portion, very crispy and tasty and definitely value for money. The lemon pepper squid was a bit expensive for the portion size. The mussel pot with garlic and cream had good flavour but was not creamy enough - was on the watery side. We also had the spinach wrap/roll which was a bit soggy but the homemade tzatziki sauce was done well. <br/>The wait for the food was very long, there were two staff on the floor (one behind the bar most of the time and one waiting tables) and didn’t look like a particularly busy afternoon. We decided to add garlic bread to our order after all out food arrived and that took 20 mins by itself. <br/>Staff and food was great, but the wait time definitely let this otherwise good experience down.

Great brewery beer. Good George. I had the IDA which was the best craft beer I have had. Barman was on top of his game. Was only 5 of us in the bar at the time but a good place to go if you want a beer<br/><br/>

Was meant to eat here for dinner but had to leave after waiting for over 15 minutes to be served. It's fine if they hadn't seen us but having told the waitress in the beginning that we were going to be sitting outside and having to go to the bar counter to ask for some menus should've given them an indication that we wanted to eat there and not look like decoration sitting on stools. Seriously, your waitresses went passed us at least 3 times and me having to wave twice without being seen...I'm not sure if both girls you had on tonight had tunnel vision but they are worse than being served at an Asian restaurant, at least when you flag them they actually come. If your going to be putting tables outside at least train your staff to actually cater for everyone rather than serving customers inside. I was meant to give your restaurant tonight a second chance from being served bitter tasting mussels the previous week but from tonight's experience i will not be coming back.

Great bar, best mussels in town, good value menu, good weekend entertainment and a top crew behind the bar. God knows how many kilo's of mussels I've smashed through.

Great first bar on a friday afternoon straight from work. It has great 1 - 2 piece entertainment, yummy food, cold specialty brews and friendly staff. The prices are standard issue central prices. No complaints here. Keep up the great work!

Came here after work for dinner and drinks with a friend. We weren't very hungry so decided to order the Thai fish cakes and a deli platter along with 2 drop hop ciders. As always, the cider was amazing. I am a huge fan of the Good George brews. The fish cakes were fresh, crumbly and flavorful. The platter had an amazing selection of meats, cheese, olives, pate and sundried tomatoes. And such generous amounts! All of the staff we interacted with were lovely, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. I will definitely be coming back repeatedly.

Great choice of drinks and really good food. The staff were lovely and really friendly! The location is great too and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere :)

Came here for dinner since none of us wanted to cook.<br/>So arrived at the place, told the person at the bar and she looked rather confused-had to say to her I was here earlier talking to the guy and he wrote it down in the diary. Took a seat outside since there was somewhat lack of seating inside for two people.<br/><br/>Ordered the beer/cider tasting rack and partner had a good george beer, not long after we had received the beverages; some guy riding past on a bike rudely asked if he could have some of my sample beers.<br/> <br/>Then the waitress took our food orders, I got some brisket roast thing. That came out and the best thing on the plate were the lentils. Brisket was over cooked. Decided to order dessert thinking it was a good idea-hahaha no my ice cream sandwich was literally a ice cream sandwich (shop bought ice cream in between semi deep fried brioche bread.<br/><br/>The place is ideal for post work drinks, pre town gatherings not for full on meals

Heard good things so decided to check out taphouse for a spot of dinner. Nice place staff were friendly. We both had the raglan pies with peas and fries. Both pies had soft pastry on the sides with hard bases that had been over baked it was a battle to break it up and even harder to eat. The filing was fine. Very disappointed. I told the staff and got the usual response "I will tell the kitchen" which means nothing to me at the time.
