Great brewery beer. Good George. I had the IDA which was the best craft beer I have had. Barman was on top of his game. Was only 5 of us in the bar at the time but a good place to go if you want a beer
Great bar, best mussels in town, good value menu, good weekend entertainment and a top crew behind the bar. God knows how many kilo's of mussels I've smashed through.
Great first bar on a friday afternoon straight from work. It has great 1 - 2 piece entertainment, yummy food, cold specialty brews and friendly staff. The prices are standard issue central prices. No complaints here. Keep up the great work!
Came here after work for dinner and drinks with a friend. We weren't very hungry so decided to order the Thai fish cakes and a deli platter along with 2 drop hop ciders. As always, the cider was amazing. I am a huge fan of the Good George brews. The fish cakes were fresh, crumbly and flavorful. The platter had an amazing selection of meats, cheese, olives, pate and sundried tomatoes. And such generous amounts! All of the staff we interacted with were lovely, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. I will definitely be coming back repeatedly.

The first time ever. We ordered a tasting paddle of 5 beers/ciders which came with a side of pretzels, all for $21. Plus it had a very unique food delivery system... a robot.
the service from finlay was fantastic he offered me a fantastic NZ IPA when i was on holiday last week was a great guy . Well done to whoever hired this great young man.
Was our first time here. The staff is really helpful and friendly and the decor and feeling of the place is awesome. We had food from Eat Burger which was also amazing. I loved how patient the staff was with multiple split orders from the Taphouse and Eatburger. I will definitely recommend them to anyone looking for good food, good beers with good friends and great service.
Nice ambience here at The Local and we love how they are attached to EAT 💜 enjoyed our Espresso Martini’s and were well looked after by the lovely Lee 🌸
Very nice place for dinner, the American platter is very well portioned and enough to share for 4 people. I would definitely recommend the $10 mussel pots when they are avalible but one small thing is the meat given with the corn chips was very unappealing and needs to be presented better. It looked dry and awful but in reality the taste was actually pretty good.
Great place if your hanging out for a beer and burger. Recommend IPA and Dirty burger. Delivery to table is also a little novel.
Ok, it's called "s"moors" or something like that. Apparently it's an American dish. So, you gotta try this if your a sweet tooth. It's dynamite! I ordered it again but takeaway this time. I mist confess, I couldn't finish it for the 2nd time. However, I will take a third attempt in the near future.
It's made of roasted marshmallows and maybe nuttella or some other rich chocolate. It's served with these biscuits (cookies).
I dare you to try it!
Highly recommend the Waikato burger and the milkshake too!
