Can not fault the food or cleanliness of this café. Quaint place, very friendly service. Whenever I have visitors I like to take them out to Garden Café as I can always ensure the food will be delicious and oh my goodness the Burgers are fantastic! Garden place may have lost some pizazz over the years however Garden Café is still as delightful to dine at as always, just a pity they are not open Sundays.
Pleasant environment, very friendly staff, tasty sausage roll and delicious milkshake. Yes, it hit the right spot. It was very enjoyable and I'll be back. :-).
Had lunch here with my parents last week. Small colourful cafe in garden place. Good outdoor seating lovely spot on a fine day despite some colourful characters sitting close by enjoying a very animated conversation. Ordered chicken n avo sandwich, kumera chips with aoli which were very yummy and a couple of cakes. The food was all good. Very friendly staff. The cafe was clean and the cabinet food all looked appealing and at a good price. While this is somewhat of a more traditional cafe without the glitz n glamour of many modern cafes I cannot fault the staff, price or food.
Me & hubby come here everyday it is open, been doing so now for 12 years. The owners are awesome people you couldn't get the great customer service they deliver anywhere else in town.
And their iced coffees are truly divine and the only place your likely to find that actually makes it with milk and not water & ice.
We will continue to come here for another 12 years!
Just went to Garden Cafe as it was recommended by some of my family members. I was told to try their shakes and burgers! Not only was the food yummy, shake delicious, but I found the owners so friendly and more interested in making sure I was satisfied and exactly how I liked my food and drink rather than most places that just serves you and then expects you to leave. I loved sitting outside in the sun at one of their outside tables with umbrella with my two small daughters. It's hard to find a place like this one nowadays. Service, food, drink, atmosphere, everything was truely enjoyable and I can't believe I haven't gone there before. I'm going to keep coming back to this cafe, and also next time will take my elderly mother. You can see that Garden Place, even most of the CBD going downhill but trying to pick itself back up, but Garden Cafe was thriving and still clearly alive.
Best cafe in nz. Great owners, top service, ALWAYS cheerful service, couldn't get better. Lovely decor focusing on the history on early hamilton with lovely photographs. Excellence food safety awards are displayed on the walls and they have won yearly. Top Quality wholesome food, I am always satisfied after every meal. Best milk shakes, yummy food!!! Such a great place to eat which is why me and my family are regulars.
Top Service, wouldn't and couldn't buy ice coffee's anywhere else better than here. So enjoyed the mouth watering deserts and full breakfasts. A+ Continuous award winning cafe. Well done!!!!!!
I had a wonderful time at Cafe Fresca Hamilton. The coffee is good and the ambience is great with plants around. My favorite dish is the cauliflower soup with toast. The soup is so creamy and buttery, I love every spoon of it. The bacon and egg bop is also good and filling. The cheese scone is good but slightly dense for me, so I prefer to share it with someone. The staff are friendly and attentive. I would definitely come back again and recommend this place to anyone looking for a cozy and delicious cafe. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Really great place to take the kids, mainly because of the big fish in the tanks!! Lovely range of cabinet food and on menu. Great atmosphere, a hidden gem!
It had great ambience and atmosphere... there was a lovely busy buzz to the café...I ordered taco's and my friends ordered chips and soup and pancakes...it was quick service and efficient...
We always enjoy our breakfast at Fresca! Especially the big breakfast. Sometimes there can be a wait, but they always tell you beforehand so you are aware. Nice atmosphere, good parking, lots of space and indoor/outdoor seating with the garden centre next door, and a cute little antique shop to browse through. Recommend :)
This was delicious! Our family enjoyed all of our food. We got the pancake stack and the Parmesan hash. The muffin was just okay the scone was delicious! Sadly they had run out of burgers and chicken by the time we arrived.
This is a pet friendly cafe and my dog enjoyed his time here. It was raining when we visited but it's great that they have setup an outdoor sheltered area. Fresca Big Breakfast is 💯 recommended.
A little gem in Hamilton. Great food, great service and great place to enjoy breakfast, a treat or lunch. The team are always friendly and welcoming. Coffee is just right. And they do a fabulous gingernut latte!

As a newbie to Cafe Fresca and word and mouth follower. This idyllic and delightful hidden gem is a surprise to behold.
On this lovely auspicious midday trip, I decided to look for a place we could sit and have a nice brunch to celebrate a great start to our day before we headed home.
After visiting the health and wellness program at the Hamilton Gardens, and experienced a connection with a wide range of people and marvelled at the range of spiritual and healing benefits on offer. Came away with some new fond memories and gifts. Especially connecting with our spiritual journey.
Anyway, enter Cafe Fresca. Wow, open alfresco or indoor dining and...pet dogs can accompany owners outside while having a meal.
That's right, while having a delicious meal, other patrons were allowed to bring their pet dog's in with them.
Now, we didn't mind at all...it was the meals that attracted us and worth every penny but, for you animal lovers.
What a great way and special place to include another family member like your pet dog or dogs.
There were water bowls around the outdoor area if you needed to use them.

Pleasant semi open environment. Partially built in but as the name Fresca implies fresh air dining available, especially useful in the spring through to autumn. Range of cabinet and cooked to order. Sometimes a bit of a wait at busy times.
Fantastic place to have a get together. Plenty if parking, friendly staff. On a warm day the scent from the plants is fantastic. Oh did I say it is based in a plant shop.
