I was greeted with a very pleasant smile when arriving at the counter. The young lady was very pleasant and assisted me in choosing a very yummy lunch. I had the soup of the day, which was pumpkin soup with added bacon pieces and ciabatta bread. The soup was just the right temperature and with just the right amount of spices to make it extra delicious. The coffee was expertly made, hot and black, just how I like it.

I recently had the pleasure of indulging in the most exquisite classic Eggs Benedict with bacon, and I must say, it was an absolute delight! This timeless breakfast dish has always held a special place in my heart, but this particular rendition took my love for it to a whole new level. The flavors were well-balanced, and the sauce was light enough not to overpower the other elements, allowing them to shine harmoniously.
However, I must mention a minor hiccup that occurred during my visit—the orders arrived later than expected. While the taste of the dish itself was impeccable, the delay in receiving our food did slightly dampen the overall experience. Although this might have been an isolated incident or a temporary issue, it's worth noting for those who value prompt service during their dining experience.

The service was friendly and very helpful 🙂 the food was very nice 👌 unfortunately what let the place down was our food wasn't hot, it was barely Luke warm and it took along time to get our meals after we ordered. Just as well we didn't have to be anywhere else after lunch because we waited almost an hour for our meal.

We come here often and food is always delicious. Big portions and flavoursome. My usual is the potatoe rosti with salmon! Dumplings is also really delicious.

The best eggs bene you can have. I usually order eggs bene for breakfast whenever I go out. When I come to this cafe I wish the chef here could make a YouTube video how he makes it so delicious. I have tried eggs bene in almost 100 cafes and this cafe beats them all.

I used to love this place, came here regularly. Recently I went back and the service is poor now. The food isn't the same quality and its definitely time the place got revamped a little! Wonder if its possibly new owners..

Ordered a Caesar Salad and a regular coffee. It came to $15.40.<br/><br/>This is what I was given, most if the bowl filled with lettuce, half a boiled egg, 5 tiny pieces of bacon (size of a 10c coin), 3 pieces of croutons. <br/><br/>Coffee was great.<br/><br/>Tasted alright but not impressed especially for the price and size.<br/><br/>Staff were really friendly an the store was really clean. Overall not worth the money for the very small portions but nice staff.

Used to eat here often until management changed and now after going there twice I won't go again. Meals have halved in size but the prices haven't. And it is not that clean. The only good thing was the friendly waitresses. <br/><br/><br/>

Terrible cafe. Bathrooms are dirty. Floor on the cafe is sticky. Food was average. My partners salad was served with a complimentary dead fly. Would not recommend.

Chicken & prawn salad was nice. Turkish omelette was good though quite big. Ladies toilets need a good scrub. Hubby said men's toilets were good. Cuppa tea was nice.

$6.90 for a slice that did'nt even look or taste better than your average bakery one. I still can't see how cafe's can charge that much and justify it. $11-12 for coffee and cake, really??? smh.

I'm not sure why all the reviews are mostly negative!? The service I received from our waiter was probably the most genuine I've had in a very long time. She was very down to earth and relatable. The food wasn't amazing but it was still very enjoyable.

Had been here a few times, mostly for a coffee. Had just been here today to try other food on menu. Coffee always spot on also had wedges which was nice. My friend had the corn fritters and I had the Caesar salad. We were very disappointed with the size which came out small, especially my Caesar salad came out in a small unappetising bowl for $10?...if it wasn't for the wedges I would feel quite ripped off and left feeling hungry. Will only return for a coffee and probably a cake next time.

Went for dinner, my rating would have been a 3 if not for the kids meal we got for our son. Quite possibly the saddest burger I have ever seen, made by someone you doesn't care or maybe actively hates kids. It was a patty and cheese on a bun. that's it. For this we pay $11? A poor effort.<br/>My meal was mushroom and chicken risotto. Average. I could have made tastier myself, next time I will.<br/>Will not be returning.

I ordered Pan Fried Halloumi/feta salsa, kumera crisp, walnut, mango vinaigrette - what I got was pan fried Halloumi, feta pieces, walnuts and loads of green salad........asked for the salsa etc got a dressing to put on that was not mango or salsa!!!!!!!

Have been twice recently with groups of 6 for dinner. Both times we have had the perfect dining experience. Beautiful food, very reasonably priced and excellent service. Can't fault it in any way. Definitely one of our favourite places to dine, and we have dinner out every week so plenty to compare it with. Will definitely keep going back.

Went with my wife.<br/>We both had the full breakfast.<br/>Would not ever have it again.<br/>The bacon was that budget reformed shoulder stuff that you get in the supermarket. (In other countries trading standards do not let it be called bacon and it's often referred to as 'breakfast fry' or something similar) They even scrimped on that by only giving 1 and a half slices.<br/>The spicy venison sausage was beyond awful.<br/>We both had scrambled eggs which were more like an omelette but overcooked to a dry, rubbery mass.<br/>The coffee was good as was the service and decor. Unfortunately the whole point of eating out is the food. This was not a case of the chef having a bad day or a one off mistake but rather the use of sub-standard basic ingredients.

Not happy!<br/>Yesterday was an anniversary, so went on line and looked up the Mozaik Cafe, decided what I was having for dinner, and went to Te Awa, as I've seen this cafe many times, but hadn't the opportunity to go. On menu mania it says open till 10pm, we arrived between 6-6.30pm, and it was shut!!!!<br/>Why would you be shut that early, when you advertise you are open till 10 Mon-Su.

Food is great, the only reason we return so often. The service is ok and the staff are friendly, however they dont really know how to work together. No sooner has a waitress handed us our menu, another is right behind her asking for our order! The wait for coffee or bottled drinks is ridiculous. I've refused my coffee when it arrived the same time as our meal. Noticed if your just getting coffe & cake the wait time is less. Like I said, food is great just very unorganised staff.

First off the coffee took a very long time despite it not being very busy, in fact the food arrived before the coffee did, the mushrooms were awful and my sister found a hair in her food but was too embarrassed to say anything so we left. Will not be back again.

Have dined here often, usually for brunch or lunch. Other reviewers have mentioned the delay in clearing tables, the frustration of the water top ups, and the availability of menu items. I agree with all these comments, however am still happy to go back is they do produce some nice dishes. Haven't tried take out, but their coffees are average.

I really, really doubt the 1 star reviews on here. My partner & I briefly went in for something to eat & a coffee before going to our movie. <br/>The coffee is absolutely delicious & the cabinet is full of lots of exciting things. We ordered the Bruschetta platter to share & wished we had ordered two! It was truly divine!<br/>The service was fantastic - there were plenty of staff on & they were helpful & friendly. We were given water for the table without having to ask for it & our coffees came quickly as did our food & second lot of coffee's (which we ordered because we found the first lot so yum!) <br/>Great place for a coffee & something to go with it. A+ customer service!

The service was great, efficient and friendly.<br/><br/>I enjoyed the food so much that Mozaik Cafe will be the first eatery I go to when I'm back in Hamilton next - a close first with fish and chips! (I live in Brisbane).<br/><br/>I'm going to be in Auckland next month so I looked up Mozaik Cafe in Grafton, and I'll be having Corn Eggs Benedict with Smoked Salmon. It better be as good as the Hamilton one - don't disappoint me!!!<br/><br/>A very memorable breakfast for all the right reasons :)<br/>Thank you!

Have been to Mozaik Hamilton many times for Lunch which has always been great. Last night a group of 11 of my friends and I went to dinner there and were so disappointed!!! The staff took forever to take our orders and once our meals were finished forever to clear the plates away....as well as every single one of us who ordered dessert our first choice was unavailable yet when we went to pay the counter was loaded with all of our first choices!!!!! What was most disappointing was this all happened after the owner told us he wanted us to have a 10 out of 10 night.....And when we complained he was very dismissive. Not impressed :(

This is my "go to" place to host clients for lunch or simply catch up for a coffee. <br/><br/>It is easy to find and has great parking. The service is very friendly and attentive, but not disruptive. The coffee is "the best" and the food menu is diverse, reasonable and yummy.<br/><br/>Highly recommended

Been here three times and a little disappointed with food options, not a lot of counter options and the cake we had was not fresh, the Menu variety seem ok but not outstanding. Our meal was edible but nothing to rave about. Nice place to sit out front if you need to take a break from your shopping. Personally I didn't enjoy the coffee and the place lacks style and flair but being fair it is a mall cafe and for this purpose is ok.
