If you’re looking for a good pie or awesome pastry this is the place. We shared an enormous eclair, lime milkshake and iced chocolate. Generous portions. Went back next day and bought a sausage roll and venison pie. Delicious! We bought the blueberry custard pastry for later. Yum, yum. Friendly service.

Most impressive bakery I've seen. Staff are super friendly, prices are more than reasonable and the portion sizes are huge. They have a great selection of hot foods, as well as sweet slices and other options off the menu. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. Definitely worth the time and money, even if you have to travel a little out the ways to go see them. Definitely will come back next time I'm in the area 😍😍
Had a bacon and salmon pie from Fairlie a few days ago so I thought I would grab one from here for comparison. There was no comparison. This was a bit disappointing. No chunks of salmon and the sauce was gelatinous rather than creamy.
Edit: Tried the cheeseburger pie today. Redeemed themselves. Great pie. Coffee is good too.
Awesome bakery - with great country hospitality that Canterbury is famous for. Hearty, generous food made with great skill. I ordered a blueberry and custard pastry with a hot chocolate.

Really good experience here, decent prices for a tourist town with tasty and good size pies. Cheese rolls were huge and just needed some butter. Long black was good quality and the bacon and egg quiche was bang on

Awesome bakery. Steak and Cheese pie had delicious meat and gravy and lots of cheese encompassed in delicious pastry. Custard square was also 10/10.
Decent Bakery in Hanmer Springs. It's down the other end of town, where parking is a little easier to find. Got the Mince and Cheese pies straight out of the oven, as they had run out. Savoring and sausage toll were good. The cream bun was a bit sweet with the strawberry icing on top
