So great to find the Hanmer Sushi &Bowl and we tried the tasty unagi pokebowl and love to eat the sushi choices there, with fresh ingredients and not to mention the wasabi and sauce. Really recommended this sushi shop in town! We would definitely want to come again next time 👍
Very much enjoyed our spicy tonkotsu ramen! Would be amazing if this place had a chance to expand to bigger premises to gain more and more comfortable seatings. Regardless, the meal was amazing and filled the gap of our afternoon craving after walking around the village.
Would have loved some traditional music to go with the meals but that may be just me! ❤️

Very fresh and tasty pick your own sushi. Good value for money! Friend is gluten free and they were able to offer gluten free soy sauce.
Overall good food and nice staff. The main problem would be the lack of sitting area in the restaurant. There are only four stools and that's just not enough. There's no outdoor sitting area as well and a park nearby has only unshaded tables. It's a good restaurant for takeaway but I wouldn't recommend it for a sit-down lunch.
We wanted to feed our kids healthy food after playing at Hanmer Springs pool and found this high rating sushi shop just about 5 mins walk away from the pool. The sushi options are great and delicious, my kids love the sushi so much until I forgot to take any picture of the food! That's after we ordered second round! =)

Honestly, our expectations weren’t high after going to lots of sushi places in small towns around New Zealand. We were blown away. Between our family of four, over a few days, I think we tried almost every piece of sushi they had on offer.
A variety of flavours- all very fresh and flavours worked well. Our kids loved the idea of the “hamburger and chicken nugget sushi” although as expected they were novelty but not repeat orders. Love that you can get the regular but they also offer octopus, eel, crab & more.
