Long queues to get tickets 45 min before it started,make sure you have your tickets 2 hours earlier other wise you might be disappointed. seating could be given a clean or vacuum still had popcorn from last movie. Great sound great experience. But could have closed the door to make it Abit darker.

Seats are more comfortable than the napier theater or havelock north and vetter customer service. Great sound but not so on movie options

Good customer service and nice clean toilet! This cinema have the nicest sound system in nz ! Even Auckland's cinemas' sound system can't complete and not as good as this one! I will recommend this Focal Point Cinema to my relatives and friends!

Went to see Napolean. The motion recliner seats added to the movies dramatic/violent scenes. Staff were friendly. There is a Cafe on site.

Pizza, toasted sandwiches, drinks and snacks are served and eaten in this cinema. Comfortable seating and lots of leg room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Movie screen was smaller than I am used too and film resolution was in 2k. Sound was better than expected but not as good as dolby atmos. This cinema would have been top class in its heyday and is pretty good today but I am spoilt living in Tauranga where we have Vmax, dolby atmos, recliners, beds, food and alcohol.

The movie I went and watched was awesome. The prices are reasonable for the amount you get. I liked it!!!

There was a large group of us that went here for morning tea today. We didn't book. The service was very fast. Food great and nicely presented. The staff were very friendly. Central location and lots of handy parking. Would happily come back here

Good food. Nice and friendly staff. Good service all around. Nothing has changed (all good as usual) 😁 Plenty of cheese, bacon, sweet chilli and sour cream on the wedges. Along with the pot of tea and some puzzle pages out of the papers, it was enough to use up the time before the movie. Great service and friendly staff (again) 😎.

There are some nice, big theatres here with a cafe attached.

Wonderful movie Sound of Freedom only slight interruption when things were delivered to patrons in same row and my toe got walked on.

Focal point cinema provides a good movie experience. The sound system is average, but the seating arrangement is pretty good. Restaurant services are good. They deliver food to our seats upon request.

Great birthday party venue for my 9 year old twins. Booking online was easy and was able to take my own decorations and cakes. The staff are friendly and the menu is yummy, the sound system is just WOW and the chairs are comfy too. The feedback I got from most of those from our group of 10 was "best birthday party ever!" I highly recommend exaggerating the budget for this type of wonderful experience, it's totally worth it!

After being introduced to focal point cinemas about 3 years ago, this has been my dining out place when I meet up with friends and my entertainment place when I need to take the kids out and have ladies nights. I am constantly reminded why I love going to this place, when I am greeted with such friendly and professional staff. I honestly rate this place 10/10. Love the work the team put in to keeping their customers happy �

We used the buy one get one free meal after a fantastic movie. The meal was amazing. Very tasty. Moroccan Lamb and Thai beef salad followed by a caramel dumpling. There were obviously not enough staff (late dinner) but the young lady who was on the floor most has a natural and endearing way. Food was still out fast � and eaten faster. Delicious and fantastic service.

The fifty shades freed evening last night was amazing. Thank you focal point for a wonderful evening. The wine and nibbles were delicious. Would recommend going to one of this evenings. Will definitely be doing another evening like last night.

It was a bit disappointing me and my three kids came in yesterday to th 12.50 viewing of the incredibles 2 firstly we were not let in until the previews were showing them I had to wheel my chair through the popcorn all over the floor then watched first 10 15 minutes of the movie with the lights on till another lady went out and asked them to turn it off for the amount u charge should be better me and kids don't do the movies often as it costs a lot.

cinema and service is great however more staff is needed at night screenings as the queues are extremely long. the popcorn was inedible-far too salty to eat much of it, which I was disappointed given the price customers have to pay for it. seating was a bit confusing, but overall experience was great. room for improvement

I love the place. $2 Tuesdays, $3 Thursdays, free movie ticket on your birthday using the club card. The staff make the difference for me, theyre always friendly and easy going. Great food, good coffee! Im hooked. So are my friends. Its my go to place�. I brag and boast about this place.

Went in for dinner for the very first time last night with my partner and it was so yummy and the staff are excellent very friendly customer service � recommend to everyone

fantastic evening out last night made even better by the amazing service, we ordered our meals before we went into our movie and when we came out our table was ready and our meals were only 5 minutes away, food was excellent best fries I have had in a long time

We were lucky to win tickets to Mamma Mia last night. The whole evening was amazing. Staff are so friendly and I would recommend Focal Point to everyone.

Just wanted to say a big thank you to the lovely staff at focal point Hastings, (especially the man with the white mask and Casey in the vampire outfit) we went to the 4pm showing of Son on big foot and the staff were wonderful to us you made our Halloween a real treat ;)
