After being introduced to focal point cinemas about 3 years ago, this has been my dining out place when I meet up with friends and my entertainment place when I need to take the kids out and have ladies nights. I am constantly reminded why I love going to this place, when I am greeted with such friendly and professional staff. I honestly rate this place 10/10. Love the work the team put in to keeping their customers happy �
We used the buy one get one free meal after a fantastic movie. The meal was amazing. Very tasty. Moroccan Lamb and Thai beef salad followed by a caramel dumpling. There were obviously not enough staff (late dinner) but the young lady who was on the floor most has a natural and endearing way. Food was still out fast � and eaten faster. Delicious and fantastic service.
Long queues to get tickets 45 min before it started,make sure you have your tickets 2 hours earlier other wise you might be disappointed. seating could be given a clean or vacuum still had popcorn from last movie. Great sound great experience. But could have closed the door to make it Abit darker.
Seats are more comfortable than the napier theater or havelock north and vetter customer service. Great sound but not so on movie options
Good customer service and nice clean toilet! This cinema have the nicest sound system in nz ! Even Auckland's cinemas' sound system can't complete and not as good as this one! I will recommend this Focal Point Cinema to my relatives and friends!
Went to see Napolean. The motion recliner seats added to the movies dramatic/violent scenes. Staff were friendly. There is a Cafe on site.
Pizza, toasted sandwiches, drinks and snacks are served and eaten in this cinema. Comfortable seating and lots of leg room. Staff were friendly and helpful. Movie screen was smaller than I am used too and film resolution was in 2k. Sound was better than expected but not as good as dolby atmos. This cinema would have been top class in its heyday and is pretty good today but I am spoilt living in Tauranga where we have Vmax, dolby atmos, recliners, beds, food and alcohol.
The movie I went and watched was awesome. The prices are reasonable for the amount you get. I liked it!!!
There was a large group of us that went here for morning tea today. We didn't book. The service was very fast. Food great and nicely presented. The staff were very friendly. Central location and lots of handy parking. Would happily come back here

Plenty of cheese, bacon, sweet chilli and sour cream on the wedges. Along with the pot of tea and some puzzle pages out of the papers, it was enough to use up the time before the movie. Great service and friendly staff (again) 😎.
There are some nice, big theatres here with a cafe attached.
Wonderful movie Sound of Freedom only slight interruption when things were delivered to patrons in same row and my toe got walked on.
