Review Deliciosa Restaurant - Havelock North

Delicious! Great selection of dishes with healthy vege options. We missed out on the much-anticipated cauliflower dish that night but enjoyed the flavours of everything else we ordered. Well worth a try, best to order a variety and share with a group.

Deliciosa is simply delicious! Mediterranean style tapas restaurant with many dishes to share and good , special vegan menu when you ask! Food is very well prepared and seasoned. Bang bang cauliflower is to die for, so yummy and with such a good glaze and seasoning! Vegetarian mezze platter gives good selection of everything and share and is perfect option try everything. Very friendly and quick service , nice atmosphere and everything you wish to have some nice, relaxing time.

Nice place to eat, good variety. The fried chicken was nice with the sauce, the lamb with our favorite it was flavourful and tender, the pork belly was very crunchy to the point that I felt that it might have been over cooked, the mussels were delicious aswell with the sauce it was cooked in.

What a fabulous night. We had the best restaurant meal in a long time. We shared the Bang Bang Cauliflower, Asian Prawn Cocktail, and the Beef Brisket with Corn Bread. Absolutely yummy. Sarah, the owner, and Piper, our waitress, were top-notch. We will be back.

The restaurant is quite quirky and a little rustic. The food theme is hard to identify as it's a mixture of Spanish, Italian, Greek and Asian tapas cuisine. We were served by a lovely friendly American waitress who was very accommodating and gave us great service. The food was so delicious! We were blown away by how tasty the Bang Bang Cauliflower was - the best cauliflower dish we've ever had. The salt and pepper squid was disappointing as not much flavour, but the lamb with pilaf and pita bread was divine. The desserts were really unique, but very yummy. Highly recommend the restaurant.

Great service and amazing food. Bang bang cauliflower really is as good as everyone says. Brisket was melt in the mouth delicious. Definitely will be back, highly recommend.

A fantastic restaurant. Wonderful service, coupled with a great variety of small plates and a good wine list. We did four plates between four people, with some fries. That was plenty of food. The highlight for me was the brisket with pickles and cornbread. The other plates of fried chicken, prawns and bangbang califlower were also very very good. Would wine and dine again.

One of the best places for shared plate dining. All dishes are delicious and atmosphere is warm and cosy. Large, covered in outdoor area. Huge wine selection, although limited offerings for by the glass

Love the sharing style serving, our waiter was exceptional and allowed us to bring cake for our occasion. Their drinks menu covers us that don't drink (and not just softdrinks). Love love love

Got nice service here, all staff were really nice and passionate. Had a little accident during my staying but got solved appropriately by their staff. Good place for friends catching up or just spend a slow afternoon.

Wow! The team looked after us superbly. The food was amazing. We were provided a Vegan menu with so many choices! We can absolutely recommend that anyone visiting The Hawkes Bay must put Deliciosa on their list! Well done team and thanks for a wonderful evening 👍

Friendly staff, great range of food and drink. The chicken was very underwhelming, but grains and green was quite good.

We love visiting Havelock North and one of the things we like most about it is being able to go back to this fantastic restaurant. It had increased in size since our last visit and got even better with it. Slick friendly service, great wine list and wonderful Tapa style food. Must haves are the Pork Belly, Bang Bang Cauliflower and Artichoke. Somehow made room for Dessert and glad I did, the Brulee was yumballs. Go there.

Always YÜM! I'm very fussy with where I go to eat. Sarah is amazing and her team always steps up. Service and quality of food is always what I go back for. Oh and a couple of glasses of good wine 😋

Food was good but service was borderline neglectful. Our existence was only acknowledged once, and that was to take our initial order. Would have loved to order another drink or two and/or dessert but to be honest, the service was just non-existent. Won't be returning.

Food was fantastic...couldn't fault. A shame that our reasonable service stopped as soon as our tapas were served. No up-selling on another bottle of wine? 3/4 wait for dessert menus then getting them ourselves? Going to the counter to order? Coffee taken back because not good and arguing with the customer...bad look. Looking forward to trying again, with hopefully better service.

I used to live in Hawkes Bay 4 years ago and this place was awesome. Came back for old times sake and it was still awesome. Lovely new menu Witt more variety, but the same old faves (arancini and the pork belly). Was very loud when we came due to a group that was weirdly milling about and didn’t sit at their table, but that’s not really the restaurant’s fault. Will definitely come back when I’m in town again!

At first I was a little unsure about what to expect due to the rating on Zomato being a average 3.2. I had no idea what kind of food I was about to enjoy.. boy was I pleased! Lots of little dishes to share inspired by many different origins and flavours. So much flavour - so good! I'd love to come back here! I wish they had something like this in Brisbane. Delicious! <br/><br/>Unfortunately I can't tell you what the dishes are by their names on the menu because I was lucky enough to just sit and be ordered for by my grandparents! <br/><br/>Lovely dinner. Highly recommend!

Had a wonderful meal here with my partner. The food is delicious and creative, although it is a bit pricey, it is worth it. Would highly recommend the crab rangoon and duck burrito bites. The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Second time I have been here and both times the food has been fantastic and both times the service has been subpar to say the least, which is why I have rated it 3.5! The pork belly with pomegranate is both crispy and flavourful and the salads (both the Beetroot and Haloumi) are delicious with very interesting combinations. The only thing that let this place down was the service. We would have had more wine if the waitress had bothered to ask us and we would have asked them ourselves if we had seen a waitress walk by after they had given us our food but they seemed to disappear completely! On both occasions dining here we experienced the same thing as well as no enquiry as to how our meals were. A shame as this place does have great food and the service is the only thing letting it down. Maybe some training for the young girls wouldn't go amiss!

Fabulous atmosphere, food & beverage lists - hard to go past the classics, Pork belly with pomegranate & s&p squid etc though always new seasonal things to try - vanilla bean scallops & garlic prawns w red chimichurri were delicious. Awesome & extensive wine list & inventive non-alcoholic options for the drivers! Dark chocolate salted caramel tart was to die for!!! Totally looking forward to some summer afternoons on the beanbags here...

This used to be a fave but has declined in recent months. Service is random, we had a nice friendly waitress but there was another quite brisk person involved. Weren't able to reserve a table for 3 later than 6.30, then were put between 2 doorways in a freezing draft. They did place a heater right by us but still cold. Food very average and way over priced! Won't be going back!

Yes...this is another trendy place to go. I know why. The wine list is good. The food is delicious! It is pricy though. You order a few small plates and the bill creeps up. Still, the owner, Sarah, is lovely and vibrant. Staff are always good! Can't fault the place. It is especially nice when its sunny

Hi! I'm gluten free and had an amazing experience here tonight. The pork belly and halloumi salad that I ordered were both incredible and the staff were very knowledgeable about whether or not the dishes were gluten free. If you want somewhere with all five stars ... Friendly Atmosphere, great service, good food, the best wine selection, reasonably priced ... then Deliciosa is the ONLY place to go!<br/>I love that these guys use local and seasonal produce and the selection of wine is the best in The Bay.

Four of us chose this restaurant to celebrate a birthday and for a meal prior to attending the opening night of The International Film Festival. It turned out to be a perfect choice. The food was superb, stunningly so. The service was outstanding, helpful, obliging and very efficient. We all thoroughly enjoyed our first experience of Tapas style dining and would recommend it to others without any hesitation. As B &amp; B owners ourselves we are well able to judge the efforts of others and we say a sincere thanks to Sarah and her team for a lovely night. Where possible we will encourage our guests to visit you.

Fantastic food - especially enjoyed the crispy duck breast, the paprika fries were great, and the pork belly delcious (tho a bit on the small size even for tapas), will definitely return.

Yummy !!!! a large group of our social club arrived at 18h30 and didn't want to leave, personal service, exceptional food and ambience that makes you feel like your walking into an old friends house for a party. Deliciosa has encompassed all that you want and need in a tapas bar, we look forward to seeing you again (soon). many thanks for doing what you do so well.

What a FANTASTIC place! brilliant ambiance, friendly &amp; attentive staff, an outstanding wine list, many by the glass and a chance to try some unusual varietals such as verdelho, montepulciano, tempranillo, viognier, pinot blanc &amp; arneis!!!!<br/><br/>The food is divine especially the french cheese plate, crispy duck &amp; risotto balls - the best i have tasted!<br/><br/>Definitely a must go place. Sit outside under the grapevines in summer and enjoy an unforgettable evening!

The tapas were divine, especially the salt and pepper squid, best I have ever had. An amazing atmosphere and the perfect place to take out of town guests to show them what the village is all about.
