After hearing many good reviews about this restaurant, last week my partner and I visited this place for the first time. It was worth going.
We ordered veg chilli momos, veg chowmein ,veg tingmo shyapta and darjeeling black tea.
Every bite was tasty. Food was fresh and delicious. Will definitely go back to try jhol momos and thukpa next time.
Owner/manager was super friendly and warm.
This place serves One of the most authentic Nepali food in Auckland. :) never fails to tickle the taste buds. Great quantity and quality.
Although, Iβve noticed that when the main chef and his wife are not around the taste is not maintained by the temporary chefs. But that hasnβt stopped me from going back, as the main chefs are not away for too long anyway!
Highly recommend their - Momos (all kind), and the chicken chilli, goat curry!
What an amazing place!!! After so long we get the authentic flavours of Darjeeling Momoβs πππThe shafaley was so good I found the Nepalese taste of it in New Zealand!!! The pickles they served with it has got the very local taste which was too good i even canβt describe on my words! The environment was nice and calm with slow smooth music. Oh yes!!! Chowmein was great as well. We really enjoyed the meal. Thank you very much for your great hospitality Dai & Bhauju!!! Will visit soon. And try remaining dishes on our next visit!!!π³π΅πβ€οΈπππ.
Best dumplings ever!! Took me back to my time in India. Momos was recommended from a tik tok video and my friend was telling me about it when he came to visit. Shafaley was my favourite it was the first time I ever tried it and the chutney was to die for π The atmosphere was calm and had nice traditional music placing quietly. Will definitely be a regular customer when in Auckland again.
Great place for Momo lovers. We ordered Chicken Chilli Momo's, Chicken Fried Rice and a Chicken Thali. 5 star for Momo's, it was amazing. But Fried and Thali was not that good. Fried rice was too oily and chicken curry in Thali was tasteless. Also, we had to wait for almost 1 hr for the food to come. Would love to visit again only for Momo's.
Visited Momo junction for lunch today, ample parking around so a big thumbs up. Nice cozy interiors with a friendly staff, so another big plus. The menu is small and simple and they've covered everything important :). Their Momo's were one of the best I've had outside of Darjeeling. The jhol momos was something new; loved the jhol/curry that came along. Impressive chutney/achar to go with momos too...esp the hot chili one. Pork momos were just like they make back home. Pork Shapta with Tingmo was fantastic...Tingmo went well with jhol too haha. Def coming back to try their momos. Hope they add alu dum waiwai and chhyang soon ππ»ππ».
Edit: visited again sometime back. This time tried their chowmein. It was superb as expected. Also ordered Shafaley (fried meat pocket)...bit heavy as they are deep fried. Perfect for a cold winter night or maybe hangover cure :)
Finally tried this place and I am impressed. I tried the steamed chicken momos, pork shaptak and chilli chicken momos. I ate one star as the momos could have been bigger in size and the shaptak could be more spicy as I asked to make them really spicy. Over all it was tasty but so far for me as I live in Manukau. I wish they had a branch in Manukau :)
Amazing food and customer service! My first time trying this cuisine and it was awesome. Definitely recommend to everyone π
