Just visited the cafe. Was clean and inviting. Tasty treats in the cabinet and decent food on the menu. The beef burger was very basic, but for a basic burger I give it a 10/10. Tasty and fresh. The chips were fried to perfection (in my opinion, crispy outside, potatoey inside) with a touch of paprika sprinkled on with the salt.
The loaded wedges were good, they come with actual mozzarella cheese (looks weird if you aren't expecting it) the only let down was the use of bacon bits instead of cut up rasher bacon.
Cold drink choice was scant, but might've been between delivery days.
We knew that the Beef Burgers are excellent and the creamy mushrooms do not disappoint either.
Good Kiwi food with a bit of extra to make it special.
We'll be back, this is our new stop on our family roadtrips.
Cafe staff were absolutely amazing! Two big tables (we had a table of 8 and there was another table of 16) turned up the same time and they handled it excellently. Food and drinks came out very quickly and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend!!!

Welcome stop along highway 1. Great service, great food. Good coffee. Wi-fi and cards accepted. Great stop for travelers and tourists.

Great food and in a nice setting. Staff were very accommodating as we had a 3 month old in a stroller. Lovely surroundings with the cherry blossom trees in full bloom.
Been through ownership changes and such. But as of recent trip was really impressed. Had a burger and fries. Was really impressed with the burger patty think stop store bought but thick and juicy. Also have pies and other yummy baked good bought myself a brownie but left it on the counter very disappointed when we found that out 20 min later down the road. Will be stopping here again.
