Beautiful homey food that warms you right up. Underrated place and highly recommend a visit. They also have daily specials for food and drink so watch out for those deals!

Fantastic local restaurant with friendly service and a great atmosphere. Our meals were delicious and generous in serving size therefore great value for money. The fish and chips were crunchy with a lovely side salad; the Flaming Rabbit Burger was super tasty; and the smokey ribs were falling off the bone and packed with flavour. Highly recommend!
Just absolutely loved this place will be back next time I'm in ChCh. Chicken liver pate was the best I've had.
It's like a sports bar/bistro where you can have nice dinner kinda food with your family or just alone or with your mates having a couple of drinks watching a rugby match.
We had the pork belly sides and the aged steak which was ok. But the cider I had was delicious!
Fantastic food. Good portions. Good service and a nice setting . Pricing reasonable for the quality of food, which was excellent.
Food was enjoyed by all 4 diners, especially the pie, steak and pasta. Waiting staff were friendly and helpful, if a little bit rushed off their feet. The atmosphere was cosy, but two of the group wore hearing aids and found it a bit noisy. But it was a busy night, so one would expect that.
All in all a very good experience. We will be back. Thanks.
Very accommodating. We booked initially for 15 for lunch, we called a couple of hours ahead to up it to close to 30. The food took a while to come out but we really appreciate that with we bought a big crowd in. We are REALLY appreciative that the staff were constantly coming up and asking if we want more drinks, hardly anywhere actually does that anymore! The food was bang on! Absolutely amazing. Perfect 10 from us all.
This was our first visit to The Flaming Rabbit and will definately be returning. We found the service exceptional and such a great menu selection. I had the roast pork which was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant.
