Great coffee, delicious food! Friendly staff! Good location where near queens gate shopping mall. Free WiFi for surfing. I always go there in weekends with my friend, it’s always busy!
Went for lunch Wed 30th Oct. It was very quiet maybe because it was later in the afternoon. The young lady on reception was helpful with the gluten free options. I had poached eggs on salmon with hollandaise sauce. Lots of salmon and the eggs were perfect. My husband had pulled pork which was tasty and tender, overall a very good lunch.
Nice place. I had the po boy pork belly sandwich and it was good. The pork was nice and crispy but I would have loved a little more. Fries were a bit too salty but the sauce remedied that. The decor didn't really meet my expectations but that's only because I was expecting some batman or comic paraphernalia. Friendly service and good coffee.
Very good service and friendly staff. When they got my order wrong one time as they misheard me they apologized and replaced it with no fuss.
The Buttermilk Chicken Burger I had the most delicious and moist chicken on it. Served with a side of nice thick fries and aioli sauce.
I also really enjoyed trying my first Affogato here which is a Vanilla Ice-cream with hot espresso poured on top. The coffee was quite strong but tasted amazing with the ice-cream.
I would highly recommend them and look forward to returning.
Big Brekkie was great a decent serving as per the pic...i had it with sour dough...poached eggs were perfect and cant complain about the Havana coffee overall enjoyed the food the place was clean and tidy and the staff were friendly!
My fave would have to be the BLT sandwich - yuuum!! The atmosphere is great, same with the service. Gotham is our go-to for work lunches :-)
The best coffee in Lower Hutt, also they reward after 5 cups to one free, very generous, great food and excellent service, highly recommend to All!
Having been a long-time regular at Gotham in Chews Lane, I wondered how its Lower Hutt sister compared. It turns out the two premises share a name, a loyalty scheme and a very loose theme but pretty much stand alone as two separate cafes. Gotham in Lower Hutt is large and spacious with a small outdoor area at the front. There is a range of options available for breakfast and lunch as well as a selection of counter food. I had brioche French toast with bacon and banana, which was a large serving smother in heaps of maple syrup. My friend enjoyed her pulled pork quesadilla and salad. The coffee is ok and service friendly enough. I like having a good cafe in central Lower Hutt that is outside of the mall.
We went there twice after bought some discount vouchers to use there. Typical cafe foods but good portion and tasty. We ordered french toast, steak sandwich and the biggy, all are of good quality. Staff are friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend Gotham Lower Hutt.
Popped in here with a couple of friends when we reached hangry after a bit of shopping. We were a bit surprised that it looked nothing like the Wellington version as we were expecting a bit of a theme.
With the menu the thing that took my fancy was the macaroni cheese, it actually had no bacon in it, this pleased me greatly. It was a good macaroni cheese and served very hot. I just don't understand the ned for bacon in this dish so I will return for a rerun when I get the urge.
My friends both had salmon polenta cakes, they enjoyed them but mentioned they needed a bit more seasoning.
All up, this was a pleasant place to eat and the kind of place I would return to with my daughter.
