They have the best sweet and sour pork in Lower Hutt. Chips are good and fair portions. Decent sized fish. Pork buns and wantons are damn good.
Absolutely amazing. Everything taste so good and always go there every week. Really nice dishes and burgers and the wait is very good. Good prices as well i highly recommend going there.
Small but clean shop, i love their steak rice noodle, very tasty, must try. The chicken tenders are very good, juicy and good price too, highly recommended.

Mei's Takeaways is like the dream Chinese food takeout place - family run, affordable and the stuff is made fresh and with skill. They have a great value offer during lunch time - a $5 container of mixed stuff from the bain-marie (sweet and sour pork, fried rice, chow mein and egg foo yung) and they really pack it in! They also do giant catering trays for big events. But my favourite thing is that they make their own wontons and dumplings, and they are fantastic! I would recommend the pork wonton and noodle soup, it is massive (bigger than my head) and packed full of delicious veges, huge homemade wontons, noodles, bbq pork and hearty stock - for only $7!!!!

Standard Chinese takeaway in the area with large portions. Combo fried rice was full of chicken, pork and beef and loved that the lemon chicken had visible pieces of lemon in it! Good value for $.

Yes, you may have to wait 25- 40 minutes on a busy night but their food is always cooked fresh and hot.
Great price for the quality menu, their Chinese dishes range between $13- $16.
Their greasy menu includes an array of combos and fairly priced family packs too.
Lovely people, with big friendly smiles who always welcome you on entry.

The owners are very pleasant and the food is good. I miss the lunch special for it's convenience though, it would be good to see it back, even if the price needs to increase to make it work.
