We even played a game of darts. Friendly staff the atmosphere is cosy and welcoming.
Went to the Doolan brothers for lunch today, I’m vegan so if I can get anything other than chips I’m happy, I got the vegetarian burger but took off the cheese and aioli. The buns and chips were really nice but the vege patty wasn’t something I’d rave about, it’s a bit of a miss for me. On the whole it was an alright meal, very big and I’m definitely full now.
Love this spot! A local for me and my friends we come here a lot just to have a few drinks or watch a game if it’s on. Incredible staff extremely friendly and accommodating they are one of the best things about the place. Very large venue, outside and inside seating all very comfortable. The have pub quiz night which is always pretty packed, the menu has everything you would want from a pub. Food is all very good.
Went a couple of weeks ago ordered the steak medium rare but was well done. They replaced it straight away, it was medium rare but not seasoned so pretty bland daughter had nachos which were great and good value for money desserts were all really good. Staff super friendly very apologetic about the steak and took 20% off the bill. Cant complain about that
This place always gives me the best nights! Great atmosphere, super friendly staff, epic 80s & 90s music (sometimes from live bands) and ofcourse super-delicious food!
We ordered the Wedges with Cheese & Bacon, Calamari and Chicken & Mushroom Pie with Feijoa Ciders... the ciders were so delicious we had to order multiple and the food was so good, I felt guilty for finishing it!
All in all, this is a super fun place to go to, with friends or family, it caters for both.
This place is great for sport watching. It's great with the TV show everywhere and it's always been our go too place however I think the food quality has changed since Dave left and I've been disappointed with them. For example, small fish and chips that used to be a bigger and scrummy and burgers that have a sweet tasting bun really put me off. I will still come but I might not eat. The last time we came we watched a whole game of rugby with our empty plates sat in front of us as no one cleared them away. Not great.
Nice pub with decent food and great service. Can get busy but great location and easy to get to. Hand for the locals. Had the Chicken and Mushroom pie which filled the stomach and tasted great.
I went into Doolan Brothers Lynfield on the recommendation of a friend who goes there regularly, needless to say I wasn't disappointed. there were three of us and it was a Monday night so wasn't too busy. We had the garlic prawns & scallops to start with, then the steak eggs & chips, crispy skinned pork belly & lamb rack for mains (didn't order dessert as the meals were pretty filling). The prawns and scallops were outstanding, a point emphasised by the plates being licked clean, the steak & pork belly were also very good and cooked to perfection, the lamb rack was nice but would have liked more roasted beets & pine nuts. the service was ok.
When I go out for dinner, good food is a must but a 5 star review is more than just food. Every time my family and I walk into the Doolan Brothers we are greeted with a smile, served with a joke and farewelled fondly.
The Doolan Brothers isn't just about food (although it is mighty tasty); their staff provide a warm, inviting atmosphere that just keeps on bringing us back. We have been to other local pubs, and frankly none compare with the delicious fare (try the Market Fish or the Caesar Salad or the Burgers!). This is pub food as it should be, simple and satisfying.
Previously the menu had been a hit and miss, but they have updated the options and now the menu reflects the atmosphere, amazing.
Should you go to the Doolan Brothers? Absolutely, you won't regret it!

Had a great night out. Food was plentiful, no complaints. Staff friendly and eager to please. Great place for the kids to play while the adults have a few.
Great place for couples and families. Relaxing atmosphere and reasonably priced meals for all ages. Great staff always accommodating. Had a share of the Dicey meat platter with the hubby which was mouth watering lols. For you rum lovers out there, gotta try the Bahama mama hehe. Thanks
Very friendly and warm staff and it has great food with reasonable prices. It’s a pub cum restaurant and there is a nice pool table and ample parking. Will recommend to all who are in the area.

So far so good. Came here one Sunday afternoon with my big family and got great service! The food was good, could improve here and there e.g. the ribs could be more moist. But all and all a good experience. Balcony at the back seem to be too close to eatery as a persistent wind draft can bring smoke in. Will be keen to visit again. Also the credit card fee was too much.
Absolutely loved it, spacious character interior , 2 outdoor areas (front and back) , darts, pool games, hearty food. Albeit lamb shank was too dry for my liking. You can't go wrong with massive pie (highly recommended)
Great pub and service, was a quiet afternoon so was allowed to bring our dog in too. Excellent service from bar staff.
Absolutely AMAZING SERVICE. Every time we come here the bar guy is always warming and ask us if we are doing alright. Food is great and area is beautiful too ❤️

I’ve eaten here a couple times now and everything I’ve ordered has been delicious. Everything is made to order and tastes so fresh. The people here are super friendly, definitely recommend coming here. It’s a nice place to have dinner with the family!
