Enjoyed our time here as the service was attentive and friendly. The orders came out pretty quickly without long wait times between entrees and mains.
The location is beautiful too with water views if you choose the outdoor seating. Overall a good experience, will visit again in future.
When we arrived on this particular night they were short staffed but the young man who served us went above and beyond to accommodate not only us but the takeaway meal orders. The meals we ordered were absolutely delicious and plentiful and we thought reasonably priced, many thanks Indian Spice for a great evening.

Very accommodating staff, lovely food with a winter lunch special of curry, rice and Nan bread $12.50 ea. We paid extra for Lamb $2and were very happy with our meals. Restaurant was very clean and well presented, just a little cold with no heating for winter patrons.
The food is excellent but the restaurant smelt strongly of cigarettes and the courtyard could have done with being swept of dirt and cigarette butts ... also would be nice to have tables and chairs outside rather than old picnic tables. Had just opened... was not the end of the night. Will definately get takeaways from here but would not sit in again.
Best Chicken Fenugreek curry I have ever had! Servings good sized, no being stingy on the rice either. Menu varied, with lots of options. Food is well priced, mains between $18 and $20-00 NZD, service fast, surroundings historic, and scenic.
Conveniently located next door to The Old Oak Hotel. The restaurant is cute with nice ambience and views of the water. The food was tasty and fresh. The portions are also good. My favorite part was the service. The staff were friendly and attentive. Great place for a relaxing dinner! Thank you
Value for money and delicious delish to eat. The lunch time special is a fab deal. Service is friendly. I don't think you could get a better deal anywhere in Monganui and leave with such a full tummy. Fab Indian Spice
Delicious food and great personal service. The small cottage this restaurant is in is quite cozy and in a beautiful spot, with views of the harbour. We shared lots of different dishes (6 of us) and had a hard time agreeing on the best one. My favourite one was the lamb rogan josh... Best I've ever had!!! (and I often order it) Also had a fish curry with coconut milk that was exceptionally good, and quite unusual to see on an Indian restaurant's menu. Highly recommended spot, and one of the best memories from our Northland trip.
Fantastic food - the best Indian food we have had in NZ. Friendly service. Nice setting and ambience. We love Paneer makhani and lamb madras. We go there often - our favourite Far North restaurant.
