Review Paldo Korean Buffet - Manukau

Rosa
I didn’t know this place was busy but seeing everyone queue up for it, I understand why now. Its legit the best KBBQ I have ever been to, the buffet options are so good cause they’re literally everything you can think of to eat with your cooked meat. Its worth your money and time plus the staff are nice 👍😌

I believe they are well-known and are very popular because it's already a queue there before it opens for dinner. My first visit, a big fan of Korean BBQ so I can't wait to have a good time there I must say they do have a good selections of all you can eat items. From the cold dishes to hot ones, from the famous Koreab appetizers to meats and seafood for BBQ, literally they have everything you want It definitely worth the money you paid, however, I mean, in terms of the taste, mediocre, I wasn't really impressed though. Also I've noticed that they don't really refill every item, everyone gets 90 minutes to eat, so perhaps cost concerned?

Paldo Korean BBQ buffet is a great place to enjoy a delicious and authentic Korean barbecue experience. The restaurant has a wide variety of meats to choose from, all of which are fresh and high quality. The marinade on the meats is also delicious, and it really enhances the flavor of the meat.

Was a work dinner. And No, they’re not halal but their vegetarian dishes were tasty. The seafood and prawns were in abundance and all u can eat and cook in your 2-hour booking. Dessert was very basic. If you’re a vegetarian, then this is definitely not for you but great fun when joining a group.

Love this place for Korean bbq experience. Worth the price. Variety of meat and also other Korean dishes. Only 2 downsides, there 2 dinner seasons, 5:30 and 7:30, would highly recommend to book first. Another let down is dessert station, wish there were more options.

Service is good and food is yummy! It's worth the visit, you'll be leaving nice and full.
The Bearded Bandit
Service and just the overall feel was great. Food was good, bugolgi beef was slightly mince like but other than that was fine. Place fills up quick for dinner service so book ahead if you have more than 4 people

Self service Korean buffet. I like this place as the food are all cooked for you and no need to BBQ yourself. No heavy odour after meal. Place is clean. You can enjoy the traditional bibimbap, bulgogi, noodles and cold dishes. Wish have more choices of dessert. Only biscuits and coffee.

Greeted warmly and seated promptly. Asked if we wanted to look at the food before trying which was very helpful in deciding this was our lunch destination. The food was terrific and the price is crazy cheap. Will always go here if in the botany area. Give it a go. You will not be disappointed.

Awesome Korean restaurant, best cost benefit for the quality of the food and service. The buffalo chicken was delicious, not a Korean food though. Tried all the Korean dishes available, including the small biscuits. Plenty of parking space. We booked the seat from 1pm , but I thing it was not necessary, not that full. Recommended booking for dinner. Will come back again.

Very good value for money, $29pp for all you can eat buffet at dinner. Good range of food to choose from. The food is flavoursome and the buffet is kept well stocked. Good range of hot dishes and side dishes. You can make your own hotpot at your table. Vegetarians are easily catered for along with meat eaters. Highly recommend trying it out. If you eat before 7.30 you have 90 minutes to eat, after 7.30 you can take your time. Good for kids

Good place for a family Saturday buffet dinner, cost are competitive/comparable to other buffet restaurants. Selections are normal and acceptable but not greatest for price charged. Dessert selection is very minimal and are not to look for.

A noce place to satify your cravings amg hunger. This is a Korean buffet restaurant with an option to do BBQ grill or not. They have cooked food available for starters and a range of meat, fish and seafood for bbq grill.

Food was on point especially for first timers to go there. Customer service was good. Besides trying to understand the ending where payment was confusing the lady at counter as I booked as group of 30. Would recommend to come back again. Thank you for having us at your restaurant

Reasonable price, satisfactory menu range, courteous staff and I should mention the place is well kept and tidy however no dessert to complete the meal.

Not much variety ... no seafood .... very bland food..... I dont think it is worth the money ...

Absolutely stunning new korean buffet in Botany. The food was prepared in excellent quality with variety of meats and vegetables. Exciting to see korean pork bbq in open wood fired oven in front of the restaurant. Great for family and company gathering.
Olive Koloni
Fantastic flavoursome food, definitely what was needed on a cold night. 👍🏽Helpful staff lots of variety😊

Went there last night for dinner it was absolutely stunning! Very traditional, perfect food selection and plenty of it. I didn't get to try it all as I was already full. Wine list set at affordable prices. Ambiance is great all seating is well spread each table is nice and private, hubby and I were on our own but will definitely take our Lil family on the next visit it's perfect for all. The customer service was excellent n friendly, they even showed us how to traditionally drink wine rice which was a great cultural insight. It's been a while since iv dined n been fully satisfied all round

Good selection of food. A seafood selection would be good though

Love the food and the place.... nice to know there is a good Korean resto nearby our place.
Lily Yang
It is a nice quiet enjoyable place. very clean. We have been there several times. Highly recommend to my friends.

Absolutely love this restaurant. Great food, friendly staff that make you feel welcomed and making sure that you're satisfied and of course their traditional alcoholic beverages. A good place to take your friends or family there for lunch or dinner!!
Nia Tupouniua
Loved the fried spicy rice cakes especially. Everything is tasty here and if you love the American gum Big red you have to try the cinnamon punch on the dessert table. Staff are super friendly and the decor is cute I found myself obsessing over the light shades and finally had to give up trying to take selfies to show off the lights Give this place a go and you'll def return again

Visited yesterday with friends together. Various tasty foods with gorgeous interior. Not to mention it was clean. Bibimbap was fantastic! Really loved that we could pick our fav veggies and it was fun to decorate ourselves with fried egg. I recommend to try Bibimbap with Korean Short Ribs. It is a fantastic combination together!!! This restaurant is full of packages indeed! Delicious foods, great location and perfect place to gather with friends and family. Strongly recommended and definitely going back.

I went there for lunch yesterday and there weren't that many customers there. This is the fourth time I have came back for their lunch buffet and really enjoy each time. I don't think there are many buffet restaurants out there that have this extensive of food with a quite reasonable price. Look forward to my next visit.

I went to Paldo Botany for lunch and wow it was an amazing experience being surrounded by such a large amount of Korean food 😍. Honestly, the meat was good but it wasn’t super memorable. Actually, what I enjoyed most was the cold noodles. I don’t remember what it’s called but it comes as plain noodles in a tiny bowl and you put a special soup over it. Mhmm deliciousness 😌😝. Buffets are not very worth for me because I don’t eat a load in one go but coming here for lunch is good as it’s a lot cheaper. Anyway, give it a gooo if you’re in the mood for some non-stop Korean food lol. Not somewhere I’d go out of my way for but would recommend to try it out :).
Cüneyt Güven
The food is really great. One of my favourites in the city. You can get the variety of good very fast.
Went there to celebrate a birthday for lunch and only had 5 food options and they were empty trays that took 20 minutes to refill
Came here to try out their dinner buffet after knowing they now do cook your own meat. I was hugely disappointed. The meat was given to us on a plate, had a variety of meats including beef, pork, chicken and prawns. They didn’t ask if we eat all types of meat or if there’s ones we’d prefer to have over others. Every table was allocated a plate to start with. If you wanted more you’d need to ask them to bring you some. I feel this is very wasteful of food. I saw a lot of raw meat go to waste when people finished eating becoz either they don’t like the marinated version they don’t eat beef/pork. This way of a buffet isn’t really great. Plus there is always a shortage of the cook food. The plates are always empty and you have to wait a long time for them to bring food out. There wasn’t many variety in the cooked foods selection and the salad bar was also very sad looking. All in all, very disappointed and will not visit in the future.

I wish I knew they have switched to buffet BBQ style under COVID level 2 conditions. The meats are unlimited. The refills were given in small portions hence need to ask waitress quite frequently plus the meat refill time is considerably slow. The hot chips served were cold and soft, I understand under COVID condition, everyone struggle to adapt, but I would at least expect restaurant to get these basics right. I was a big fan of Paldo, but this time the experience was total disappointment.
Kathryn Ruth
We always enjoy a meal at Paldo, the chefs have a way with flavour and all of their many sides are so delicious!
Xilehrf Nanulagap
Awesome as always! Love the bulgogi and spicy pork. Will come back again next time :)
Hotdog&Buns
Great selection of food for the price. Beats most Korean buffets I've been to.
Camille Fabula
My friend and I went here around 1:30pm, they still accommodated us but when we went in there were no more foods for us. We thought they were going to refill since there were people who were eating, and we just arrived, but to our disappointment, they said that they are going to close at 2pm. We were not able to have a decent lunch, but had to pay the full amount anyway. They should’ve told us that there were no more foods in the first place. :(
KIM
Just an average Korean food experience. The bbq selection wasn’t vast enough and the soup base was pretty bland. Most of the cooked food during the buffet like the bulgogi was overcooked and chewy 😔 a bit disappointed with our experience.
Rafael Del Rosario
I've been a regular customer of Paldo since 2017 and they haven't let me down yet from all the times that I've been here. The great thing about Paldo is that they change the menu frequently. There are some hits and misses on the main and side dishes but hey its a buffet under $30 with many cooked Korean dished and some shabu-shabu to choose from. The staff are always friendly and are quick to get your plates.

I definitely recommend Paldo, please just don't expect that everything in the menu will be awesome for your taste buds. Again its a $20 lunch and $30 dinner buffet.
Jean
Great place goood food had a pleasant lunch here. Very fulfilling
EFFIE
Such a bad experience with this bbq place with no bbq for lunch and no one let you know that till you ask. No where mention they only offer BBQ for dinner. Services was horrible, taking away your bowls and chopsticks without asking😡😡😡 overall not worth for $20. Won't go back again!!!!!
Linda Lin
The inside of the restaurant is surprisingly modern and spacious which from the outside you would've never guessed. There were quite a few options however personally not enough vegetable option which would've been fine if the meat options tasted a bit better. the raw uncooked slices of beef and pork was tough and did not have the marbling of fat which you'd usually see on hotpot meat slices. the crabs legs tasted slightly off. they had some grilled chicken drumsticks that were pretty good though along with some stir-fried vermicelli. Staff are pretty onto it as well. overall not bad but there are places that are better for the price.
Kim Titoy
Not worth it for the price. Limited food options for the buffet. Thought they will have Korean bbq which we were looking for but maybe didn't research well prior. Ambience was great.
Shannon
Great Korean buffet place in the East area!

If you love Korean food yet you haven't been here, well,,,,, you are missing a lot!
I usually go there during lunch buffet, booking is pretty much essential if you wanna eat between 11 and 12 coz this place fills up really quick.

They have great food selection and they are all nicely presented and hot food kept in the expensive cookware that keeps the food hot (it might have a name but don't know).
Some people might think there are not enough dessert selections but Korea is originally not big on dessert so lack of dessert selection is somewhat expected.

Great price, great food, great ambience!
ShyGirl
Not enough choices for the buffet, the chicken were too salty especially the buffalo chicken looks like raw and were not cooked well.? Some of the dishes are cold. We even went on a Sunday for lunch. Other buffets are better.
Henry Asa Afoa
Please bring back the old menu the new menu is not the same taste as before.
Miura Elikana
Absolutely recommend this place for dinner and lunch especially for big families. So affordable and has a good range of Korean food. All the cooked food are seasoned so well and the descriptions are very clear, you know what you’re eating. There’s a bibimbap station! 🥰. Good range of uncooked meats and seafood for hot pot! Try the noodles, sooo 💋. Will be returning again.
Barista Champ
An average Korean buffet I must say. Good variety of buffet dishes but hardly any on dessert. I would expect something better for the price you pay. Frankly, I don't think I'll return.
Food?
Was pleasantly surprised at the modern interior with a large selection of food. Food tasted amazing. However the stations weren't refilled or looked after regularly. But definitely will be back.
Dora The Food Explorer
Good variety of buffet dishes including bbq pork, beef short ribs, deep fried stuff, soups, make your own bimbimbap, and comes woth a hot pot in the middle of which you can cook your own meat. The restaurant was also spacious and clean and great service from staff. I gave 3 stars as while I felt the variety and taste were both good, it just lacked the wow factor. $29 per person for dinner was also reasonable.
Rissahx
Delicious buffet with many choices of food. Also let’s you customise your bibimbap. Great mixture you can also order hot pots to cook yourself. Restaurant very spacious and modern. Would highly recommend
James Fisher
Pretty good. A little bit on the pricey side for an all you can eat buffet.

Heaps of variation in food, mostly Korean but there are some Western food options too.

Great for big groups of people because you definitely can try out more options and will enjoy the overall experience more.

Nice interior design and ambience.

Came with the whole family. Baby friendly. I’ve had Korean food a lot and also Korean Buffet. So comparing to that this was average. Food was topped up generously and a lot of choices- but it lacked a bit of the real Korean flavour and a few of the hot dishes were just loop warm. Average desert. For the cost you pay I would expect a bit more. I’m saying that there were a few items really good- egg! Bibimbap station and the fried chicken, and that they had hot pot option.
I’ll probably visit again but to just try lunch.
Caitlin
Pretty cheap for a buffet especially having high quality food. Everything tasted really good, I really liked the rice cake and meat selection is very good. I wasn’t expecting much for desert but it’s okay cause the mains are the star and for $19 that’s very good. My go to buffet now!
Mel
Excellent place to have hot pot! Food was everything! Place is clean. Just dessert was let down but was ok. Friendly staff. Will be back again for sure!

Extensive range of selection, from cold dishes, Korean hot pot to make your own bibimbap. You name it, they have it.

Friendly staff, nice environment and reasonable price, there is nothing I can criticise about.

5 Star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ well deserved
Klaus Buwert
We‘ve been here a few times now, the food is Authentically Korean. There is a large number of options and all of them are yummy. We always have a large selection of pickled things like Kimchi and love the hot pot. If we’re lucky and not too full we make it to the central Buffet which is great if you like cooked meat or seafood dishes. The fried shiitake mushrooms are so so good.
Courtney Ann
Came here on a Monday for a birthday and had a group of about 20. The ambience was nice and the restaurant was clean. The food was great and there was a huge variety! You can get food that it already cooked or get raw food and cook it at your table. Everything was clearly labelled and they topped up the food quickly. Great value for money too I would come here again!
It's Me
Arrived here for family lunch (Sunday), my first time here and it was actually quite busy. The staff were friendly and they have a variety of foods on offer. I tried pretty much a little of everything, and enjoyed it all. I don't think they're big on desserts - all I found were two different types of sweetened crackers and a dessert drink in the corner. Overall I think it's a good family eatery, I'd only come back if it was requested by family or friends.
Maxine Edwards
My friends took me here to celebrate a late birthday lunch. Friendly staff and delicious food! I took my family two days later and they are also fans. Paldo has become a dinner go to for occasional family dinners.
Sonam Chandra
I quite liked this place! The food was very tasty especially the korean bulgogi which is my absolute fav!! For the price of $30 per person isnt too bad! Would definately come here again!
LuNa The TuNa
This the our family 'S favorite korean buffet at east Auckland. Environment really clean and hygiene, service always polite and friendly. Foods are good too. And u get get all the bbq meat from there. Don't need to bbq by yourself. Convenient
Tanya
Best ever. I will say $28 buffet dinner with four star hotel taste, extremely clean and quiet environment, large table gap, beautiful food layout, delightful service, and plenty free parking, best ever.
The Poor Foodie
Food: 4/5
Service: 4/5
Overall: 4.8/5

A decent korean buffet place in Auckland! There were really lots of choices to choose from. I especially loved their LA ribs, they were well marinated. Wheat noodles with anchovy broth were well matched and the korean dishes tasted really yum. We could also make our own bibimbap and hotpot. Tbh I didn’t give much expectation to the hotpot but then we all fell in love with the broth! It was probably an anchovy broth and when we made our own hotpot, we added lots of veg, noodles and beef so it was similar to Japanese Shabu Shabu. Although we went on a weekday for dinner where only a small amount of customers were there, I was surprised that the food was refilled quickly and they were all in decent quality. One tiny suggestion will be the dessert. There were just sweet rice drinks and rice crackers for dessert.
However I will definitely come back again!!

Food: 5/5
Ambience: 5/5
Cost: 5/5
Service: 5/5

Thoroughly enjoyed this place for a buffet dinner on a Tuesday evening. So many great selection on hot pot sides, meats, DIY bibimap bowl fillings, soups and many more. Everything tasted fresh and well flavoured. Very affordable for $29 per person with no set time of duration in the restaurant! Easily my go-to place for some bomb as korean buffet. Delish!
“Dailee” 25% Off Zomato Gold
Definitely one of better Korean buffets in Auckland. Our family and friends love coming here for special occasions. Lots of choices of side dishes, ready to eat bbq meats, fried chicken, beef hotpot, DIY bibimbap, porridge, korean soups and many more. $29pp. They charge cakeage of $5 and in weekend allows only 1.5 hour dining time. Service is ok, when busy they can get grumpy and will chase you off on the dot.
Bonnie Hu
Looooove this place! They have such a great selection of food and the atmosphere is waaaay nicer than a lot of other buffet place. Only wish they have BYO option.
Airan
I had several lunch buffet with Paldo and I really like it especially the fresh bibimbap! Love the idea of you could have your own bowl of bibimbap, you can add fresh vege, kimchi, beef and sunny side egg in - so good. And the soup dishes are really outstanding here, every one of them are tasty. The stock of the noodle soup is lovely as well, definitely worth a try. The price is reasonable for the fresh buffet like this, will come back again and again if they keep the quality.
Luigi
Really nice service! Really nice hot pot and such a deep flavoured broth with great cuts if meat just perfectly juicy. However the pre-cooked meats were mostly cold and it wasn’t that enjoyable. Worth the money? Not quite. A good experience? Definitely.
Khaleesi
Great location with lots of parking. Nice looking restaurant. Great for big groups too. Clean and friendly attentive staff. Came through for buffet lunch and there were many options. Also enjoyed the popular Peach Soju. Food was on the warm-cold end. Overall it was great atmosphere and will dine here again.
Rob Lam
Somewhat mis leading, not KBBQ at all. Just purely a korean buffet, with hot pot/steam boat too. Buffet is still good. Would come back here again
Monleigh Ikiua
Went to Paldo for the first time with some friends for dinner. They had lots of delicious options available, many of which I had never tried before because I usually stick to the bulgogi. The staff were also very friendly.
Linda Yan
If you want to taste delicious and authentic Korean food, Paldo is a great choice!👍
Food is in good quality, but the dessert does a bit let down me cuz there is only crackers and red bean soup and sweet soup for dinner.
Pork belly was so nice!
Will come back!
ambience:5/5
serve:5/5
Munchies
This is a great non cook your own korean buffet. Has such a wide selection of korean dishes from beef bulgogi, egg and tofu, squid, spicy pork and everything korean in between. Also caters for the non adventurous types or kids that love korean fried chicken and chips.
A really cool feature is they have a bibimbap station that you can make your own even with a fried egg on top. Plenty of salads to choose from like kim chi, mung bean salad, seaweed salad, coleslaw and pickled radish. So much more to choose from always really hard to make a decision.
Also hard to be disappointed as food is always fresh and constantly being refilled.
Lunch or dinner is very affordable at $18 for lunch and $28 for dinner.
Very nice inside and modern set up. Staff are always friendly and happy to help. Can get busy at times especially in the weekend to be prepared to wait if you haven’t booked.
Uncle V
Korean buffet & hotpot. Wide selection of food and all taste good. Love their hotpot. The soup base is very good.
Very good services and good ambience. Recommend.
Sonia
Nice clean and quiet big place suitable for baby as well. We go there for dinner at least twice a month.

Food is great. Dinner time hot pot just help yourself, also all you can it like Korean deep fried chicken and mushroom are very good my favourite.

Cold food area is nice too, they do have authentic Korean style small dishes.
By the way, hot soup area like red bean soup and ginseng porridge suitable for ladies also tastes so nice.

Just if they can add more desserts for choice will be great.
JC
I've been here multiple of times and they always served us with a smile and kindness. When I walked in to their restaurant, I felt like I was in Korea and the mood inside is pretty chill. It is a place where you can relax and have a good time eating a buffet with your family and/or friends. You pay $30 for their dinner buffet but you get abundant amount of dishes to choose from and it is of good quality so the money you spend is worth it. The servers were attentive to our needs and are friendly. They also serve different flavours of soju which is nice to pair with the dish. Their soup tastes so good and it helps to wash down the different tastes of different dishes. Their food are seasoned well. Not too spicy, not too mild. Full of flavour. I definitely recommend people who love Korean food to go here and make sure to book when you go for dinner because even on a tuesday night they're fully booked.
Jasmine
Amazing customer service! Staff are very polite and helpful. Food was average though, not much variety, especially for the children. Probably won’t go back but I give it a A+ for customer service and cleanliness.
Kai Mai
Got recommended this place by a friend. Been a fan of Korean BBQ for a while now & have reviewed a lot of places in & around Auckland. Checked this place out with my wife Kay Vea. The parking spaces available are a big plus, I tend to find with other Korean BBQ places, parking is quite limited whereas PALDO does not have this problem. Upon entering the place, the vibe & atmosphere is real nice. The place is very neatly set up & gives out a clean and modern vibe. We are greeted by the lovely staff who seat us straight away to an available table. We did not have a booking given it was a weeknight it did fill up quite quickly. I would recommend booking for a weekend session. The friendly waiter gave us a run down of how to operate the hot pot. We set upon the buffet to the various selections of lovely food. Again a lovely selection of already cooked food available. All delicious. The only criticism I would have would be the lack of raw food available for the hot pot - they only had beef on offer with vegetables where other Korean BBQ/Steamboat places I had been to had a better variety of raw meat selection. The other would be dessert. We found this was also a let down & quite limited. Overall we paid $29 a head for a lovely dinner. Would recommend & definitely return again for a feed.
Strwbbyyy
Very nice food and worth for $$. There are many different and a wide variety of Korean food to choose from and the place provides a very nice ambience.

Always an amazing experience!

The waiters are always friendly and helpful.
Food choices is always bountiful so no complaints .
Overall a lovely place to go and enjoy Korean food.

I think it's the location that attracts some Koreans.. it almost seems like some Koreans wanna come eat here only because they know they would never come this way anyways so they want to come to the other side of the city take a short break from north shore Korean restaurants lol.. I would say the buffet offers bigger selection of the menus but for me food taste better here (maybe could be just my personal liking) but we already got plety of Korean buffets before crossing the bridge even in cbd & tombo in new market as well. So I don't think I would be driving here all the time but when I want to go for a drive and try diff scene then will take a short trip here
Gary Montrose
Always good, we have had lunch here several times. A good selection of food. The flavours are traditional and they always have many Koreans dining there. Cannot wait to try the dinner buffet and try some of the selections not available at lunch. Some personal favourites are the kimchi and the spicy pork.

Service 5 star
Food 5star
Value 5 star
Recommend to all
Very authentic
Will be back
Location good
We have good experience last weekend
Definitely will come back

Don't think I took full advantage of what was on offer other wise I suspect I would give a 5. Otherwise had a really good night here. Staff were friendly and helpful too
LOVE FOOD
Went last week for my friends birthday :D quite enjoyed it however we were one of the last people there and the were rushing us out even when it wasn't closing time yet :( Food was quite average - enjoyed the sushi though
Genuben
Their hotpot and bibimbap is hard to fault. Quite fresh ingredients and quite authentic as well. Value for money especially given the variety. Maybe just a bit more thought for the dessert table as it felt quite pitiful with only crackers tucked away in a nook on the way to the toilet. Also could improve with more attention to refilling the buffet stations.
Was very pleased with the service at Paldo!! Receptionist knew exactly who we were as we set foot in the restaurant. Food was great and it was the first time we've had Korean food, so was definitely impressed(:
Alice In New Zealand
Its Korean buffet . love this dishes more than BBQ . Tasty:) i prefer to come here when i feel like Korean food but i don’t know what to eat. Diner is 29 per person n lunch is 18 per person. For diner, the hot pot n some more dishes are available:) i enjoyed :)

Have been to this korean buffet numerous times. In fact, this is one of the restaurants that I frequent the most in Auckland. The reason is that the price is very reasonable considering the wide spread of all-you-can-eat Korean foods offered at this place. The other plus point is that despite the large quantity of foods, the qualities of the foods are still as good.

The foods are all exquisitely displayed and the whole place is always tidy, neat and clean. There are normally 2 to 3 waiting staff manning the restaurant, and yet they are able to manage the place very well. They are friendly and efficient. If you love Korean food, this is the place you may wanna pay a visit to!

If they can add in Korean fried chickens coated with spicy sauce or garlicky, that would be perfect!!

Food & Beverage : 8/10
Service : 8/10
Price : 8/10
Ambience : 7/10

Been here quite a few times. It is very comfortable sitting place, although they do get very busy. It is a self serve korean buffet, not the bbq kind. The food are always fresh and I love their pork and squid spicy dish. Their korean fried chicken are almost unseasoned but it is nicely fried. They are one of the only places I have been that does purple rice. They dont have a good selection of desserts.
Rebecca
Went for a last minute family dinner. We were looking for a Korean BBQ place and booked here instead. It was a refreshing change to having a grilled meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner, as there were many dishes to choose from, and for most of us, first time eating like this. It was quite a pleasant dining experience and we had such good service from the staff. They could clearly see, we were first timers, so there was always someone coming over to check if we were okay. We would definitely visit here again. Affordable pricing and the restaurant itself was clean and welcoming. Loved the decor, very homey and relaxed.
Dannielle Ka
The venue was nice and clean, food was good although there is not many choices especially for the price per head, not many kids choices. Big let down was dessert there is none. We were offered crackers for dessert. We booked for 5.30pm and had to be finished by 7.15pm we had a birthday tonight so we booked for 25 people, had to pay a deposit over 50% days prior. Asked if we could bring a cake, which then they charged us an extra $5 for paper plates a plastic knife and slicer. The service we received was not inviting at all. After paying the outstanding amount 4 adults were not accounted for so then we were charged an extra $10pp for the 4 that did no show up. Was asked to leave right on 7.15 that our time was up. Not sure I would come back in a big group as our experience was not great at all tonight.

The restaurant was very clean and great ambience. The cooked dishes were delicious and fresh and a little different (nicer) from the regular Korean bbq places. However, there is not much selection for the steamboat. The only meat was beef slices and four other vegetables. We didn't get anything for dessert as what was available tonight was the sweet rice punch which didn't look too tempting and two types of Korean crackers. The menu listed four or five different desserts but there was only one plus the two crackers tonight. Could do with more dessert and meat varieties for the steamboat. The selection isn't really worth the $29 per head. Was going to rate this a 3.5 as I quite like the cooked dishes but there are no half marks now and it is below 4 due to limited fresh food selection. There was only one type of fresh meat ie sliced beef and nothing else. No seafood either. Surprisingly being a buffet dinner, we did not leave overly full as the choices were really limited.

Food and restaurant well presented, with friendly, willing to help staff. . . Family friendly at a good price.. food is amazing. . . Definitely highly recommended.. or am I just bias? Love Korean bbq

The place is really nice for people who enjoy Korean food. They serve lots of Korean traditional cold appetizers and hot dishes as well. It is one of my favorite places to have lunch or dinner.
Jho Meets Food
Initially I thought it was Korean bbq! My bad. It did have a steam boat concept to it.They give you a pot of broth on top of a cooker then you can create your soup on your table.Although they do have ready made soups (4 types) readily prepared and a noodle station (2 types). Highlight dish was the pork belly (sam gyup sal) and beef salisbury steak (tteok gal bi). Both are very tasty and deliciously addictive especially with the pork.It had the right combination of spice, sweet and savoury element. The salad was a great combination to the meat- had the quinoa salad- acidity balanced the fat . Balance the healthy and not so healthy :) Good selection of side dishes. Loved the pumpkin mash (who would have thought in Korean cuisine!). The place was very clean and inviting atmosphere with the modern furnitures and lay out of the space. Only downside was the limited number of dessert choice I guess. Maybe if they could have a few more selection for those who have a sweet tooth. Only had either fruit (pineapple) or korean biscuit or the sweet red bean soup (nice sweetness & thick)and kumara if you would like to count them as desserts.

Ambience 5/5
Food 4/5
Service 5/5
Paldo is my go to best korean buffet place. The interior is classy with well spaced seating and good lighted ambience. I love their banchan dishes, their bibimbap options and different soups. Their mains are the basic tasty bulgogi meats, chips, chicken and egg dishes which are cooked in the korean style. For a 19$ lunch, you’re better off with Paldo if you want all the korean dishes you crave in one go.

I enjoyed every bits of different flavour for both cold & hot 😋
Most of the dishes were tasty, but the ingredients available at the bibimbap station were not appealing unlike the picture on the wall (a quite few of them were not even there, missing), so I passed the station.
The attending lady was nice from greeting to billing. The piled up plates were regularly cleared away.
At the time we arrived around noon, only a few table was taken and about the time we left around 1 o'clock, half of the tables were filled. It was Tuesday. I made a booking in advance, but it seems I didn't need to.
The ambience was cosy and very quiet even there were a few families with their babies and small kids.
I felt a little bit I'm in a library 🤓
I only know asian restaurants with lively, loud and noisey environment so it was a little bit surprising.
I shouldn't demand too much thinking about the reasonable price ($19 per head for lunch buffet) but if there were more options for dessert, could be much better🍨
I also want them to introduce a senior price because my over 90 yrs old grandma has a stomach size of garlic.
The bathroom was modern, clean, spacious and wheel chair accessible♿ It can handle 4 people at once !
Georgia Zhang
The food there tastes really good. However, it would be great if they have more varieties. It’s really easy to get tired of with only few food choices.
Lay Cheng Ho
It was quality buffet. Sadly, they start putting food away at 1:40pm. They should make announcement so we can go for our last round. It was on a Tuesday that we went. Other than that, we are happy with everything.
Daniel Kim
The food is yummy, but you gotta be there as soon as the door opens, to avoid the crowd. I heard if you arrive late or book for later time, they run out of food and their food get re-filled really slowly.
Rachel Liew
Friendly service and good ambience. Had lunch with a friend. surprised to see varieties of food choices. Liked side dishes and soup. It was not packed during afternoon so really enjoyed conversation while having food. It's a decent place to take friends out I would say.

Was an awesome first time experience would definitely go again the staff were lovely and friendly would have loved to have had some dessert even if it was plain old ice cream but overall awesome for the price

Came here last month for the dinner buffet. Lots of different things here like the bibimbap station , hot pot and side dishes. The sushi was really small but tasted fine , the deviled eggs were nice but my favourite was probably the spicy pork belly. It was a bit too spicy when I first tried it but I couldn’t stop eating it bc it did taste really good. The bulgogi was alright. The broth in the hot pot was nice but there was only one meat to use , it was still good though (: their service here was excellent bc our waitress kept checking in every now and then and assisted us accordingly. Would definitely come here again 👌🏾

I love the ambience of the restaurant and kindness of the staff. We went there for lunch buffet priced at $19/pax. Make sure to make your own bimbimbap before hitting the main dishes. It is a must try! They have quite a big selection for lunch menu, what more for the dinner buffet! I will definitely go back! Oh and btw, make a reservation. It is always full on weekends especially.
Jun
Enjoyed the huge variety of food they offer. If you usually like the side dishes at korean restaurants you will love this place. its quite spacious and won’t make you smell afterwards like kbbq. Only down side is the small amount of options for the hotpot. Other than that the price is great for what you get :)
Love Food
Love this place 🙌 clean dining, not too small. Food is delicious too! Staff are friendly and welcoming, they saw I was pregnant and offered me and my partner larger seats and even brang me a pillow for my back. Definitely going back.

Came in yesterday night for dinner for the first time.
Tried my first kimchi pancake here. Was decent.
Sushi were cut in tiny pieces and tasted nice. Salads had great sauces and didn’t taste dry.
Rice cakes had a great texture to them and deviled eggs were amazing! However fried rice was kind of bland and dry. The glass noodles were okay though. Staff were friendly and environment was comfortable.
Would go again!

We had lunch at this place today. We came a bit early while it is still close but the nice lady really made an effort to went outside and placed a reservation for us. The ambiance is truly Korean and the food was great. Service is absolutely fantastic and friendly. I take a little bit of each hoping to have another plate afterwards but have to try the rest on our next visit. The spicy tofu soup was very refreshing and satisfying. Can't wait for the next dine out with Paldo.

My father's 70th birthday lunch was held at Paldos in Dec 2017.
The service on the day of my Dads birthday was amazing. The food was fresh and the staff just blew us away with their friendliness and willingness to help. They catered for 80 people from my dad's birthday whilst serving others. Amazing restaurant. Totally recommended xx
Maricor Sunga
Food was very good and the myriad options to choose from was fantastic. Taste-wise, everything was delish :) But the service needs a little bit of improvement. Our plates piled up at one point and the cashier seem to can’t get rid of us any faster. The staff probably need to smile more as well. All in all, had a great time.
Millyvanilly
Variety is amazing. Fresh food being topped up all the time. I love the amounts of options for different dishes- you can make a soup, make bimbap, or have a mixture

We booked a buffet table for a smallish group. It was a weekend & at lunch time, the place looked inviting & we loved the ambience at first sight. Spacious, well lit, nice atmosphere. Beautifully laid out food in warmed dishes, well lit, sufficient quantities, regularly replenished, everything looked very appealing. Numerous dishes so it pays to study their menu so you know which starters to take for a start. I just went around touring the isles so I understood what I wanted to choose for course one. Most impressed with the excellently prepared Korean style dishes. Their Kimchi is certainly well recommended & not even one dish disappointed me. So eat slowly, but eat wisely, pace your plates & no limits really. Right from their starters through the mains I was thrilled with each & every serving I took in moderation. Knowing fully well, there is no way I can do justice to all of their excellent preparations. Fullest compliments to their team of Chefs for doing such an excellent job. I am surely happy to come over a few more times to sample even more of this gorgeous food. Recommend please book as they were busy as. Another great place for a great value Buffet.
Grace
Nice korean buffet, with a large variety of korean food. Gimbab, bibimbap, tteokbokki, japchae noodles and bulgogi just to name a few. Also had hotpot with meats and veges. Food was very authentic and delicious. Only disappointment was that dessert was very limited, just fruit, rice drink and biscuits. Service was efficient and used plates were removed quickly as well as water refill. Definitely worth the price and atmosphere and interior design was fancy.
Josh Edeson
Visited here. Staff were grumpy and provided no instructions. Sat our table for 10 minutes before anyone explained the process. Food was mediocre. Toilets were filthy too.
Chun Daeseung
I only had lunch meals with my company workers.
They loved and enjoyed the korean meal especially the spicy squid and pork.
Generally clean and tidy.
Cost effective meals :) not bad!
I would recommend and want to visit again!
Neelam Chandra
This place gets so packed especially in the weekend so booking in advance is ideal. Had to wait half an hour to get a table but the staff were really efficient in getting in touch with us saying a table was ready.
My favourite items were defs the pork belly and the hot pot. I do wish there were some chicken items rather than just fried chicken. .
Overall it was okay but not the greatest.
Ina
The food at the buffet was well cooked and it was delicious. There are lots of food choices that you can pick. It really represents the Korean culture. Great place to go but there should be more options for the desserts.
Henrietta Palu
Food was dry, not very tasty, some was cold. Not the best korean food I’ve experienced. I’ve been to others which are much better than this.
Cüneyt
One of the best buffet restaurants in Auckland. Very nice Korean food. Bibimbap, kimchi, hot pot and all the other meals are so good. Recommended.
Sailau Dinel Vaimoso
My family and I enjoyed the buffet that was always topped up on time, plus given the fact we went on a Saturday evening which was very busy with so many other group bookings the staff were also great with taking drink orders and clearing dishes.

Only downfall for our visit was the fact that we were nearly charged an extra adult ($28) as the staff member responsible for this miscounted my group and insisted we pay for casper until my husband and I recounted our group again only to realise the mistake was on her part. Correction was made with no apology from her but more annoyance in her face towards us
Jay
I visited here tonight for dinner at around 7pm (Saturday)

Luckily I arrived before a big group booking, I was able to try most of the food they offer. Refilling took some time for some food that need longer preparations after big groups came in. However, I totally understand that circumstances since I have worked at buffet restaurant before and I know how the system runs. It is really hard to refill all the food especially hot food when there are so many group bookings and when people just grab mountains of hot food at once.

The food is quite good. I was actually surprised by the quality of the food and the taste. I am really picky when it comes to Korean food but I really enjoyed my meal here. I loved their DIY bibimbap, spicy pork belly, fried rice cakes, LA galbi, fried chicken, hot pot and so much more. They use fresh vegetables and meats for hot pot as well and the broth was not a plain water and it tasted good too.

It was $28/pp and I think it worths the price and I would like to visit again!

I recommend you to visit here on weekdays or if you are going to go on a weekend, give them a call to check if there is any group booking on that date and what time the group booking is to avoid delay of refills.

Yummy! I have been twice with my family and it was great both times. Great atmosphere, great setting. Will definitely visit again. Lovely food, especially the apple infused pork!

Been here twice. This is my new favourite spot and is where i plan to take my guests in future. The restaurant itself is a lovely place, clean, tidy and has a good atmosphere. The food is awesome. I went for the dinner buffet on both occasions and my whole family and guests thoroughly enjoyed their food!

Been visited a few times. Atmosphere and food are awesome. Staff was very nice and kind. I will go back again. Highly recommend. Also, the service was exceptional.

After seeing the high rating on here we visited Paldo for dinner. The restaurant was moderately busy. The decor and ambiance of the place was really nice. We were served and seated promptly. I found the wait staff slighty awkward, she lit the stove on our table and walked away. As we'd never been here before we honestly didn't know what to do with the pot of hot water on our table...

We went to grab some food from the buffet and I was instantly disappointed. Firstly I found it quite hard to flow through as the set out is all over the place. There's multiple stations but everything is mixed up. I struggled to find anything that I found remotely appetizing and forced myself into trying things. I found there wasn't much choice of foods either.

Overall it was a disappointing experience and I wasn't very happy to be paying for the full buffet. I wouldn't recommend visiting if you don't like authentic Korean food.
Miguelito Rodriguez
Came here unplanned as we just wanted to eat out. Upon arriving place is a little bit empty with only few diners being a slow day. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Food choices specially desserts are limited but it was delicious. Overall it is a good place to eat and highly recommended.

Had an amazing time at this reataurant. Will definitely visit again. The setting was beautiful and the food was fantastic. The service was exceptional

Tried my hands on Korean Food, which was good enough specially dumplings, the rice, chicken, fries, eggs, and variety of items...
Good to go, must try buffet :)

I caught a Taxi to restaurant around 8:20pm arrived 8:40pm only to be told that restaurant is closed. On here, it says you close at 10pm. Basically spent my dinner money on taxi..getting myself to the eatout joint and home. Change your time or mention - You close at 9pm not 10pm.

Have been here two times already. First time was during dinner and they had this amazing LA Beef Ribs! I will definitely come back just because of the ribs. Then we went back for lunch thinking they would have it again but to our surprise, it wasnt there. I was sad but lesson learned. I would definitely go back here again if I am sure that the ribs are back.
Roger DD
Always my favourite korean buffet restaurant, pretty busy for Wednesday night with only 2 staffs on floor but they doing great job. Great food and clean restaurant with consistent quality but only disappointment, they start charging extra 3% if you paid by credit card. Also the dessert choice are quite limited.
Adam McLean
I have been here twice in the last 2 weeks now, once for dinner and once for lunch. Loved both visits, very diverse range of Korean food. However, the dinner experience was far superior. More range of hot dishes, including my favourite, the LA ribs.. so good! Dinner is 10 dollars more, but you also get a hot pot full of broth, which you can add a whole range of meat and veges to... definitely will be back again for those ribs!
Benz Chan
Paldo is definitely one of the better Korean buffet restaurants in Auckland.

For $28 per adult, my family was treated to a wide variety of authentic Korean dishes. I specifically loved their spicy pork belly and their bibimbop. Overall, their dishes are not overspiced.

There is adequate ventilation and space to move for diners. It is a kid-friendly place as my son was free to run around without many hazards (their plates are also non-ceramic). Staff are okay - smiley but abrupt at times.

I would like to come back and try all the ones I failed to eat tonight.
Sarah Faith
Lots of variety of side dishes, the place was clean and very well presented, waiters will tend to your table taking dirty dishes and also maintain your table space, staff are polite, was worth the money spent. Will go back again.
Tien Pham
It's a good korean restaurant, lots of food to choose from, friendly staff and great atmosphere. $28 per person (dinner) is pretty pricy but food quality and taste is on point. Would recommend 👌
Jason
Very happy with my dining experience here. Place is tidy and clean. Staff is friendly. Great alternative to greasy Korean bbq, the hot pot is comforting with quality beef and vege. A big selection of cold dishes and the hot dishes covers basically all the usual Korean food. Will be back again
Lee Weiki
The interior and atmosphere of this place were great! Presentation and layout of the food also fairly good. What was a real let down was some of the food selection was always empty. Food at the hot section was not hot, mostly just light warm. I did enjoy the cold food section, but everything else was average to me. Customer service was poor, there was a drink menu on each table but not once a waitress comes by to ask if we want drinks.
Wendy
Terrible customer service. Booked tonight and insist said I am wrong. I booked next week. I told her it's my birthday and I will not make mistake on my birthday. She keeps saying that I booked next week and I showed her my diary that I booked another restaurant next week long time ago. As a manager. No matter is her fault or the customer fault. Her duty is sort out the issue instead of keep saying that she is right and the customer make the mistake on the booking. We told her we are so upset and will go to complaint. She said you are welcome, thank you. She even not bother to do anything. Very said being a Manager like her. Will not go there anymore!
Anjalei Ghar-Jun
Good service. Rice cakes, my fave=100, Kimchi Pancakes=100, ALL MEAT= 100. Food is spicy. Clean. We sat on a table with couches so comfort level 1000. Nice and quiet too. Bonus: they have fresh sunny side up eggs right there waiting for you. Didn't really fancy the dessert but.. didn't go for dessert so I was good👍🏼
Nakul Patel
All you can eat buffet - totally worth the money spent. It was absolute bliss, plenty to choose from, making for short term amnesia when it comes to names of dishes.
Now as a vegetarian, you might wonder whether it is worth your time? You won't be disappointed and you won't go home with an empty stomach.
The meat eaters have quite a bit to choose from as well, happy tummy's guaranteed.
Mona Pamplona
Food was very good - staff were constantly bringing out fresh dishes so they were always hot (or cold). The dishes in the large crock pots didn't have as much turn over but they were also piping hot and delicious. I really enjoyed the bibimbap station and individual cold noodle bowls. Highly recommended!
Soana Taake Talia'uli
Had a lovely dinner! Terrific options and the place was nice and clean 👌🏽 Absolutely no complaints. Fabulous service! Definitely going again 😊

I went to Paldo with my family Wednesday night. I found the place to be very clean & hygenic. The ambience was very cozy & friendly. The meals weren't as spicy as I'd dreaded. We enjoyed the kimbab the most. I also loved the mini kimchi pancakes & the spicy rice cakes. Although, I couldn't help wishing for more chicken dishes!!😄 There are still lots of dishes I wasn't able to check out. I'll definitely be going back to Paldo to finish what I'd started.😁
Sarah
Lovely Venue. Spacious and very clean.

Buffet style Korean food, where all the food is precooked for you. You just pick and choose what you like. Food was well cooked and restocked throughout the night. So if your wanting Korean food that's not BBQ you can stop by here. $28 pp (I went on a Thursday night)

The staff were lovely.

Will definitely visit again.

Paldo is an all you can eat Korean Buffet, I've been here for both lunch and dinner.

Their soups were phenomenal, especially their creamy mushroom soup, I think I had 5 bowls.

You can make your own traditional Korean rice bowl but the rice were hard and eggs were cold, it has happened multiple times to make me stop getting those.

They have a nice selection of cold and hot dishes, for dinner they have BBQ pork and steamed beef but they were just average.
Sham Ladkoo
Superb service. The food is great too. Very relaxed atmosphere. Great variety of food from entrees to mains. The hosts are always willing to help and the service is efficient.
Karo
I went to Paldo for lunch and the food was amazing. I have been to a few other buffets, but this is the only buffet I have been to where they are constantly checking what needs a top up and they bring out the food freshly made. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves korean food.
Trish H2
First time here for lunch. Found it quite nice inside.. The front entrance looked like someone smashed it. Besides that the interior was modern and clean. Service was good and friendly staff. Food was fresh and appetising. Made me a bowl forgot the name and tried the noodles and soup. Loved the kimchi. Only gripe I wish they had more condiments especially for the sushi like soya sauce, ginger and wasabi. I will be back again.

I ate so much I almost exploded.

Thinking it's like a Korean BBQ buffet. Usually ou would eat fast since the food takes a while to cook and you are left hungry.

PALDO however has the bbq made ready for you to eat. I scoffed my dinner down within 10 minutes and had to go for a walk. Very good Korean food, my Korean friend liked it too.

Highly recommended if you feed like a big feed!

Environment: 5/5
Food Quality: 4/5
Food Quantity: 5/5
Service: 4/5
Price: $20pp

We went there for lunch today as recommended by friends. We feel quite disappointed! The food was on average and the worst thing was it's got msg taste for the dishes which was quite heavy. Me and mum got a diarrhea after that as well! Overall it's horrible!
Nomnomcats0o0
brilliant korean food buffet, like korean bbq but you don't have to cook anything, hotpot is a much appreciated touch. would come definately come again
Sampoorna Laxmi
Loved the variety of choice of food and pleasant ambience and friendly staff. We went at 5:45 pm. And one of the first few people. Each table has a hotpot stove. Liked everything. Though we did not try sea food our friend said it was good. Recommended

The Good:
Great selection of food which is the point of buffet
The atmosphere and designs of the place
Good entry to korean food
Restricted spices for foreign taste
Very good for money there's about at least 30 dishes?

The Bad:
Limited selection on desserts?

A place to recommend, especially to people who want to be introduced to korean food.
Also a place to come back to!
Brittany McCrystal
This place is amazing! Such a great variety, the resturant was quite maybe because it hasn't been open long but would definitely go again, one of my new favourites!
Emma Patricia Katili
Great selection of food. There is so much variety for a great price. I especially love the LA galbi and the spicy pork. Their chicken congee is also very nice. The dessert selection is a bit of a letdown though as there isn't much except some cookies and a few small pieces of cake. However, the overall buffet is great and i would definitely come again.
Ahsei Junior Ace Sopoaga
Really good service, variety for the kids aswell. Really nice venue & interior. Great value for price, and great place for a family dinner. Very spacious for a restaurant, highly recommend!

The family have had the dinner buffet here a few times now and they give this place a high rating as do a lot of other reviews of this outlet...but today's lunch buffet a below average affaire as we arrived here shortly after 1.15,pm in the middle of a busy lunch service ..suppose we where lucky to get a table at this time...then this
lunch experience went pear shaped..as there was a lack of service, surrounded by un_cleared messy tables, and the lack of dishes on offer was also disappointing..and what food they up served was quickly snapped up by hungry diners ,the kitchen was also very slow in refilling each of the food station's .but the dishes we had were tasty enough..maybe paldo buffet had a off day today or staffing problems??maybe back to try the dinner buffet sometime as im told it has a much better selection@dinner time.....
This is the first time I've had dinner at Paldo, and I loved it!!!
It's hard finding certain Korean foods in East Auckland - but Paldo has such a wide range that I ended up having most of my Korean food cravings fulfilled. Not only is the range of foods wide, all of them are delicious and fresh. When you arrive, they'll put on a pot of broth for you to boil, and you can add beef and different veges of your choice.
Some of my favourites from the buffet were the vegetarian fried dumplings, the galbi and fried spicy rice cakes. For dessert, the matang and red bean porridge was super good. There are a decent number of options for vegetarians, although I wouldn't say it's a huge range.

The service is great, all of our used dishes were cleared quickly and the staff were friendly and welcoming.
The atmosphere was great too. It's spacious, modern and clean with nice decorative touches. I'd say it's good for any occasion including family outing, dates, group dinners etc.

The cost for dinner is $28. I would also recommend booking, as it gets busy fast.

The only feedback I'd give is that while the dessert was delicious, there wasn't a wide range of options considering how many good Korean sweets there are.

Overall, I was completely fulfilled and am hoping to return again :)

This place doesn't look like much form the outside but once you walk in its a different story.
I spent half the night trying to take photos of the awesome lamps hanging from the ceiling lol.
The wait staff is so attentive, they lead you straight to a table and start up the burner to warm up soup while you get comfortable.
The food is amazing. The side dishes of course are plentiful and my favourite was definitely the spicy fried rice cakes yum yum.
Everything was delicious and my friend was particularly taken with the cinnamon punch.
Will definitely go back, for the food as much as the ambience and the K-pop playing in the corner on the flat screen TV 😎😎😎😎
I_like_pickles
Generous variety of food available. Food is regularly topped up. Bibimbap station with all the lovely Korean side dishes.
Staff were friendly.
There is a time limit on the dining time if it is busy.

The only negative is the dessert station. Not much variety. Just some Korean snacks, fresh fruit and cookies.

I do recommend keeping hydrated after the meal because a few of my family and friends got very dry mouths and throats later in the evening.

Best buffet in Auckland, fresh food, authentic Korean style, clean and tidy with a very comfortable vibe, AND with lovely staff. Pork belly & fried chicken was a big hit! Couldn't find any faults

Deliciously good! Was greeted as soon as we went through the door, all the waiters were very friendly. There was a large range of food that was constantly checked on and regularly topped up. Every food item was fresh and delicious, and the bathrooms were very clean. Service was fantastic and the food was incredible. I had come to this buffet from friends saying it was A+ and it certainly was, I will be going back every chance I can! Adults were $28, children were $11 each. Worth every cent!

Have been there for two times, love the place because it's clean, spacious and great variety of food. People who love Korean food can go for a try, and personally I think their food are nice. The marinated Bbq beef is my favourite and the bibimbap. I will certainly go back again :)
Hope the restaurant will keep its standards.

😍 my love for good buffet. . Safe to say I've found another great place to satisfy my hunger HAHA.

Tried this for dinner and boy am I impressed and definitely coming here again with my family and recommending!
Beautifully modern restaurant with great staff, very efficient with taking away your plates when you've finished to keep tables clear.

They have a great selection of food! Plenty on platters and refilling frequently. Great stuff!
There's definitely something that will please everyone here! I personally love the sweet marinated beef. . Juicy, tender and DAMN good!
Sampled nearly everything on offer and I'm happy with it all!

If you love Korean food. . And buffet. . Come here. You will not regret it!
Clean facilities, great staff! This used to be a Italian restaurant but is now Paldo, still the same management as I was just striking up conversation with a staff member. Only opened fairly recently but definitely becoming well known and respected for great food! I will be back and I highly recommend

Tried paldo for the first time last night for a girls dinner... And i have to say i was very happy with everything!

The restaurant is nice and spacious and is very clean. They had a wide range of variety with their food from soups, stews, sushi, side dishes and the fried stuff. My favourite dishes from last night were their pork belly, bbq spicy pork, bbq galbi, and theirs dwenjang jjigae (korean miso soup) that you get on your table.

The service was efficient and friendly. We stayed there past their closing time and they were very kind to let us talk . Zomato could you please change the time? They close at 10 pm on a Friday not 11 as stated here

Will definitely come back to try more things in the menu

This place used to be "Passito" which is an Italian restaurant - most of the staffs are the same so it seems like its still under the same management. A big jump for them from serving italian dishes to korean dishes, but hey its a hit! I have dined here a couple of times with friends and family and oh such a good experienced! I love all the dishes, you can even make your own bibimpap. The sushi and salads were made fresh which is amazing!

Booking is a must as they get very busy especially fridays and weekends - there is also a time limit of 1 hour and 40 mins during this days.

I went for dinner on Saturday night with a group of 12 friends. The staff were friendly, there was a huge selection of food. The side dishes were impressive as were the Korean beef ribs, pork belly and fried chicken. All food was topped up regularly. There isn't much of a dessert selection but that seems to be the norm in a lot of Asian restaurants. Our booking was at 6pm so it wasn't too busy. The restaurant itself is very nice and has a comfortable atmosphere. It's a great dining experience for only $28. I'm definitely going back there.

Lovely dining ambience and restaurant is large. Heaps of parking as well so need to stress there. Seating and space is comfortable, not cramp like some places that tries to squeeze in extra tables. Very good selection of Korean food you will no doubt find something you'll like. I booked a day before and was fortunate to get a table I think, previously I have tried to book on the day and the earlier session (5.30pm-7.10pm) is normally full. Only weird thing was you cannot touch the food before 530pm, so at 530pm it was like the school bell going off and you get the whole restaurant going up, needless to say some popular dishes went rather quickly, so had to wait but they do refill it fairly quick. Would have thought it would have been better if diners were to start when seated be it 5-10 mins earlier to even out the flow. We were booked to 7.10pm but we left 25 mins earlier in case there was another rush to pay for the meals. Overall enjoyable experience and would definitely go back.

Came for dinner with family friends. There was quite a large selection of Korean food, all of which had already been cooked. I thought that one of the most interesting part of the restaurant was the make your own bimimbap (rice with toppings on top). There was a lot of different dishes which was quite popular particularly the beef ribs which normally goes when freshly topped up.

Nice place and the food was topped up regularly. Although busy it wasn't very loud and the food was good.

Good experience dining here. Lots of choices. Something for everyone in our family, with different tastes or dietary preferences. The mashed pumpkin was really good. Meats are tasty and ready cooked. I like that we don't have to cook the meats ourselves like other korean bbq restaurants, because I can't be bothered to cook when I just want to eat out. Yummy and yet healthy food. Will go back

Was there with friends last week. Good selection of Korean side dishes but they need to work on the flavors! Some of the dishes were too salty and the pumpkin mesh was terrible .....
Good selection of cooked meat, my favorite was the steamed pork belly and stir fried pork belly. I was disappointed that they don't have the traditional pork bone soup with kimchi, and no red bean soup for desert ! Come on...all the Korean bbq place or buffet place I have been to offer those two traditional dish! Overall, it's ok but not sure if I want to pay$28 after the promotion ends. I still prefer the Korean BBQ experience more.
Finally a Korean buffet around this area. Fully booked almost every night. Environment and design of the restaurant is great but to be honest the food was ok, nothing really surprised me. Most of the food are cold dish or warm, and not much dessert option. There is time limit of an hour and 45 mins, which I found is long enough for a small group of people, but they should still mention it when customer book the table. Not sure if I will visit the place again or not. Do hope they can add more hot dish and dessert.

First thing to do if you want to dine here: book a table ahead of time. I booked for our Saturday table on a Wednesday night. :-)

This is not a cook-your-own-barbecue restaurant. All dishes are cooked--and there's a wide variety to choose from.

The food was not 5-star but there were plenty of choices to keep us happy: side dishes (potato salad, seaweed salad, kimchi, sushi, wraps, etc), choices of rice (white, red, or with kimchi), soups (seafood, chicken, or corn), and main dishes (fish, chicken, beef, or pork). Their fried dumplings and crispy chicken nibbles were popular--they were consumed as soon as the platters were filled.

Dessert? The first batch had tiramisu, while the next batch had brownies. Both were delicious. The sugar-coated sweet potatoes were also fun to eat because they were in very small pieces. Of course, one does not come to a Korean buffet for the dessert only, right?

The atmosphere was surprisingly relaxing. It wasn't noisy or crowded even though the place was packed. We had a good chat over dinner. And, yes, the service was good.

Will definitely visit again. :-)

Was super excited to see a local Korean buffet. I was hoping for some BBQed meats but instead there were just a huge variety of cooked Korean food. From bimbibap to bulgogi beef, they have it all.

It's a good concept but I thought the food was average. The food didn't really wow me and lacked flavour. I did enjoy their fried dumplings though. Would be nice if they had more variety in dessert rather than the canned fruits. It was still a fun experience to pick and choose what you want. Probably wouldn't come back in the future just because I still prefer Korean BBQ than this.

Just been, I love how you can make your own rice, had my favourite pork and good rice cakes in the side dishes. Downside dessert selection was terrible, with the can fruits. There is a current discount for adults not sure about children, prob won't go back because my 20months child was charged $5.90 when she didn't even eat. If that was the discount rate for children then it's too expensive. Pretty much paid full price. I usually get full with one main dish in other Korean restaurant so for us it is cheaper for us to eat at a normal Korean dinner place. I rather pay that price or more for a decent Korean bbq place

Overall I don't think I will recommend to my friend unless they eat a lot and don't have young children. It will b worth it if you have older children.

Came here thinking it was cook your own korean bbq but when we got there we realise it was all cooked for you. It had a vast selection of everything from bbq meat (3 different flavours of pork belly) to kimchi. The price is currently around $25 per person for dinner but it will be going up soon.

Visited again with my sister and partner. Bibimbap was fantastic! Really loved that we could pick our fav veggies and it was fun to decorate ourselves with fried egg. I recommend to try Bibimbap with Korean Short Ribs. It is a fantastic combination together!!! This restaurant is full of packages to myself! Delicious foods, great location and nice place to gather with friends and family

Finally, a decent Korean restaurant to dine in East Auckland! Went with colleagues, all seven of us loved the place. Was good to see variety of traditional Korean food! Loved making my own Bibimbap. Coffee was not included and we had to order separately which was a bit of shame. But with their price, $24.90-opening special price, I wouldnt mind going back anyway. Overall, a great place to dine and I will definitely support them.

Tried this new restaurant just opened last week, I actually had to wait two days to book a table as it was already full on their third business day but it was definitely worth my wait. The price is very generous, and the quality of food was simply stunning.

Newly opened Korean Restaurant, went with my friends on Friday evening. I was so fascinated to see a PROPER KOREAN RESTAURANT IN BOTANY!
You'll find variety of authentic Korean food, including my favourite Ginseng chicken soup, wood-fired pork belly, LA Galbi, Bibimbap section and heaps of other side dishes to enjoy. The food was so nice to match with Korean Blueberry Soju. Great ambience, good service and clean. This place will become my regular dining.

Paldo is a newly opened Korean Buffet restaurant. It was fully-booked on Sunday, and so we went on Monday instead. Still there were quite a lot of customers - 85% full. A good variety of food was provided - including a hot pot at the table; 5 choices of desserts; no tea nor coffee. Efficient service. Ventilation should be improved. Discount available until end of June. (Food - 3/5; Service - 3.5/5; Ambience - 3.5/5)
