Review Cosmo - Manukau

I have only ordered chips, butter chicken pie and bought a drink. The staff displayed effective communication and the food was appropriate to the price paid. The pie although $6 was filling and flavour filled. It additionally we along great with the drink. The chips were appropriate to the price payed and also flavour full. The staff and food made it a great experience.

Always go there and it's awesome there. The service is great and the food always looks fresh. Daughter had fish n chips n salad n I had sausage roll n coffee. Bathroom nice and clean.

This is the best Cafe I have ever been to, the staff are all very very friendly and it is not usually that busy at all. 10/10 if this is in your area I highly recommend visiting.

Breakfast meals are good value & portions are great! Great hangover food. The service is great. Love their coffees! I always order large soy hazelnut cappuccino. Tastes great in my opinion

This place is sooo gorgeous and has the most beautiful tasting and presented croissants and drinks ever. The staff are super friendly with great service. The vibe is so nice too! Definitely the best spot to sit and enjoy a relaxing drink!

Cheerful, peaceful, good honest food, good value. Much better than noisy, expensive cafes. Somewhere I can take my Mum

We always come here. Been a face for years. I have noticed lately however the cleaning doesn't happen. Chairs are sticky, floors never look vacuumed or mopped. But food it delicious.

A wee bit pricey but not quite Parnell or Ponsonby... nice food all the same and the coffee is nice and smooth...

Found our way here for Sunday breakfast. Excellent service and our Eggs with Hollandaise sauce and Steak with all the trimmings like chips, eggs and salad were on our table within 15 minutes. Nice work Team Cosmo Cafe!!

Good variety on the menu with had eggs bene salmon panini & pancakes in the arvo as this is an all day breaky too; food is tasty environment is nice service is ok; environment like a big lunch bar & good for catch ups; our food was ok presented well and tasty. Pancakes.had lots of cream fruit.an presented nicely; salmon panini ok my husband enjoyed the eggs bene & pancakes this is his usual spot with mates.

Nice homely feel to the cafe! The mocha was nice and sweet already so no extra sugar needed. The steak was great and juicy, no faults there, only wished there was some bread to soak it all up! It does get quite crowded during lunchtime (which is always a good indicator!) so there was a slight wait. There wasn't much cabinet food when we went but likely secondary to Covid precautions? Overall would come back to try other dishes!

Went here for lunch yesterday by chance and was pleasantly surprised. They offer an all day breakfast menu - the food was fresh and delicious, good coffee too. The decor might not be flash but I recommend it for the price and good quality food. Lots of natural light which I like too.

My go too place for breakfast. Not the most updated place but definitly worth popping in. Great options and selections. Portions and AWESOME COFFEES!!

Our favourite spot for breakie! Everything we have tried has been good, great portions and good value. Its not a fancy modern Cafe but its a good reliable cafe that makes good coffee and yum food. We tend to order the same thing every time we go now Me - the Bacon Breakfast with extra Hash brown and the boyf some sort of Burger (Burgers and Chips are a must have breakie item for him lol). There are a lot of dishes to order off the Menu, your standard breakfast dishes and then your more lunchy dishes Burgers, Lasagne, Chowder etc.

Took 30minutes for our breakfast to be served, asked for half cooked eggs and received fully cooked eggs. my rating was for the bombass mocha I recieved.

Food is amazing. Tastes good, not a long wait. Would have given a 5 star but the service I think could be better. The man there does not smile and does not look welcoming which is sad because I love their food.

We love their cosmos special breakfast. We ask them to make our bacon crispier. We also love their coffee. Best mochacino... it's a must to upgrade to a med to large size! Friendly staff.

I was surprised with the great quality of food here. I hadn't been to Cosmos in a couple years and back then their bacon was NOT real bacon it was more like luncheon. I didn't visit again for a while but did pop in a couple weeks ago and was so impressed. Ordered the Cosmo breakfast which was $17 and eggs benny. Cosmo breakfast is enough for two people. Food is delicious. Nothing I could fault.

While the place and where it sits doesn't look appealing, the food on the other hand is yum yum yummy! I've been here six times now and I always order the satay chicken on rice (even though it tastes nothing like satay). It tastes more like a korma chicken. It comes served with a fresh cut salad.<br/>I've come here in big groups and just a table for two, and without fail, they serve at its best. If you order the eggs Benedict and you know your a big eater, then I suggest you order something on the side to make up for a full feed.<br/>I always go back when I can, even if the staff don't have the drive to welcome you.

This is another regular, i tried the french toast and was not satisfied it was very soggy even though the maple was on the side. They used a hotdog bun for french toast which i feel is just not a french toast at all. The kiwi big breakfasts are always good but the french toast is not something i would have again. Fresh fruit was good. And service is good also. Didnt have problems with wait time.

Couple weeks ago same here with a group of friends this was our first time and i Can easily say it was our last the guy at the counter looked like he couldn't care a less our order took over 15minutes we where not the only table waiting (and had ordered at the same time) the food compared to other Cafes we have been to was not great was not worth the near $50 price tag for two people

Normally go to The Food Kitchen across but they were closed. Tried out this place and the staff were pretty basic. No welcoming smiles. I ordered the steak eggs fries and salad. Steak was cooked well done as requested but lacked seasoning. Not sure if it was seasoned at all. I ordered over easy eggs and one of my eggs was cooked all the way. The salad should be served in a smaller bowl as there was a bit of a puddle of water at the bottom of my food. Service was quick and portions are big, but you cannot substitute quality with portion. I would rather pay the same price somewhere else for a smaller portion with good quality.

Second time at Cosmo, i ordered the Steak, fries, salad and eggs plate. It was well presented and tasted how it should, just that my steak was real chewy. Apart from that, good service, food came out fast, and clean.

I originally wanted to try out The Food Kitchen across the road but they weren't open so came here instead. <br/>The menu looked good as were the prices so I ordered an eggs bene with smoked salmon. Cost was a little over $13. Also ordered a medium mocha. <br/>Food came quickly but as I tucked in I was disappointed to find the English muffin was stodgy and almost soggy probably due to not draining the eggs enough. The sauce was delicious, as it tasted and looked just like the one used by the Coffee Club. Coffee was nice too so it's a great place to get takeout coffee. Portion size was standard so at least it was good value for money, but I personally prefer to pay a couple bucks more for properly executed eggs benedict.

Me and a few friends came here for lunch today.<br/><br/>We ordered Macaroni Cheese, Chicken Burgers with Fries and BLAT with Fries. Overall, the food was good and filling so worth the price you pay. It's a nice, cheap/affordable café to go to for a bite to eat (we spent roughly $20 each for a meal and drinks).<br/><br/>The only negatives I found were:<br/>1. It gets really hot inside.<br/>2. My friend found a chunk of tomato in her burger (the ones you see in salads) instead of the normal slices in burgers (refer to photo).<br/><br/>But a part from that, I would happily go to this place again and would recommend this to someone who wants to go to a cafe and not spend too much :)

Went here today for lunch, me & wifey had the chicken fillet burger meal which was average nothing great and kids had regular burger meals which again was average. Can't say it was great but couldn't help but think of a big Js burger.lol

Cosmo Cafe has amazing food! A large variety on the menu and everything is well executed. Great kind friendly staff and a cosy atmosphere. I love chicken and Cosmo Cafe does the best ever chicken burger I have ever had. It's become an addiction and habit to go out of my way every week to dine there. Seriously recommend!!!

Cosmo has dated interior....but if you are after excellent coffee in South Auckland, and great food that is reasonably priced...this IS the place. Great, hard working owners...who know good food and great coffee! Highly recommend!
