Excellent coffee and food, a great experience for our first morning in NZ!

I absolutely love the girls and guys that work here. The coffee is amazing (especially with a flavour shot) and the food is always super fresh. Whether you’re just looking for a quick coffee to go or a good long sit down, this place is perfect.

Have been coming here for years and the food is delicious. A good option near the airport which is reasonably priced.

Lovely waiters, beautiful and organized atmosphere, and great service. I wanna come back here when I will visit Auckland again. Thank you for the waiters’ efforts

Decent coffee and food. Conveniently located in the Ibis Hotel where I stayed for my transit in Auckland. They have free wifi. Seating area is comfy and cozy.

Eggs Benedict were great! Called in for breakfast with my wife and a friend who had just arrived from New York. I had the Eggs Benedict and a large extra hot flat white coffee. The eggs bene were cooked to perfection, and the flavour of the hollandaise sauce was very nice. The coffee was served extra hot, and it was on a good sized mug. Would definitely come back here again!

We popped in for a coffee. The coffee was pretty good - they had coconut milk available which I like. And we were offered a discount for bringing our own reusable cups. The staff were super friendly and gave our wee one an awesome Jamaica Blue pirate themed colouring and activity pack. We'll definitely be back!

We had eggs bene and pancakes. Delicious 😋 and well presented. Highly recommend.

We were riding by on our bicycles and stopped in for a tea and coffee. Tea/coffee was great. Would recommend the oatmeal Cookie over the chocolate chip cookie. The oatmeal Cookie was good flavor and raisins. The chocolate chip was dry and uninspired. So dry I dipped it in my tea! Great place to park or bikes. Fully loaded with lots of room. Bonus is that there was a pump for tires there as well. Recommended stop for cyclists.

Corn fritters stack $12.90. good selection of cabinet and menu food. Have various food for allergies, incl different milk for hot drinks. Sparrows seem to know how to fly in. Bird poo on some of seats. Indian woman on register serving was difficult to understand and had to ask her to repeat what she'd said.

Got a flat white and cappuccino and their so good!! Smooth and delicious. Even orded it during rush hour and the service was very good. The barrister was awesome, she's super fast. Kai pai! 👏🏽

Great variety of cabinet and menu food. Delicious coffee. Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely go there again! A+++

Breakfast was okay. We got the breakfast option from the hotel, and we chose the eggs your way option. I chose the fried option, which ended up being two fried eggs, two medium slices of toast, and a small drink; not bad for the price ($12 NZD, about $8 US) but wasn't enough to fill me up. We ended up getting another pastry and a coffee/tea cause we were still hungry, which was about $11 NZ more. If you choose scrambled eggs you get more like 3 eggs so probably the best your-way style imo.

Used to come here alot when i worked in the area. Havnt been for a few years and glad to see that the food, coffee and service is still outstanding. Looking forward to my next visit.

I have been coming here for a long time with my Mum, regularly. The staff are very lovely to us & we love to have our lunch & coffee & people watch.

Went for lunch and it was shithouse the only good thing was the fries and the coffee
The beer was warm the aioli was fake the crepes were dry the salad was dry the hollandaise was yuck overall no good 👎🏽 if I could give no stars I would

We were really disappointed in this cafe. The service was bad, the food was terrible (we couldn't finish our meals), and it was extremely overpriced. Most disappointing is they still serve plastic straws and serve your butter or chutney in single-use plastic dishes. Going here will be a waste of your money. We had birds picking at the food on our table because it didn't get cleared for the whole hour we sat outside.

Dined in on 02/10/19 for a team lunch. I have to say this is the WORST lunch I had for years. Yes I repeat: WORST lunch for years. The chicken portion from the chicken burger was so over cooked that it was hard to bite. Beef burger showing on photo was hard. The bread was not fresh. The egg omelette was a joke! It is not even a omelette?!!!! Paying $19.90 for this? Bye bye Jamaica Blue, you are terrible and you won't have the chance to earn my money again. So bad.

Had breakfast there. Very disappointing. Toast was pathetic. Slices of the very cheapest supermarket bread with "condiments". One (that's right - one, not condiments - plural) little pottle of jammy stuff. What a rip-off. Waste of money and time. Also bagel - very average - not toasted properly, no butter, only positive thing was the egg - hard to get that wrong. Dont bother with this place. Cheap and grossly overpriced. Have been there in the past at least a year ago when it was much better. Whats happened.

Used to have more friendly service in previous visit. Had a Spanish omelette but the chorizo are burnt at one side, literally overcooked to black.

Had a wonderful breakfast at Jamaica Blue.
I ordered the Big Blue Breakfast & my Aunty ordered the mushroom bacon & toast.
Delicious food & wonderful service. Will definitely come back.

I had the vegetarian Eggs Benedict and my wife had the Oats with Banana and Honey. Both well presented and enjoyable. If you're waiting for someone at the airport with some time to kill, this is a good spot to get some breakfast rather than at the airport itself. The staff were engaging and friendly. Bathrooms were very clean and presentable. Felt a little awkward having to ask what the deal was with service, so I think that should be communicated as soon as you're greeted at the front counter on entry.

Had breakfast at this franchised cafe. I ordered the Spanish Omelette. It was meant to be filled with chorizo, olives, tomatoes and potatoes. I asked if they could swap the olives for mushrooms. No problem. The omelette arrived with mushrooms instead of olives as requested but no tomatoes! And it tasted bland for some reason. Perhaps they got the mix wrong.?
Won’t go there for breakfast in a hurry soon.

Dropping mum at the Airport, we had a bit more time than we had expected and we were all a little bit hungry so we decided to grab a bite at Jamaica Blue. I’ve never heard of this cafe chain before and I have to admit they are certainly better than your typical Columbus Coffee or Coffee Club.

We ordered a cheese scone ( Always appreciate places that melt the butter a little to make it easier to spread ) , Spanish Omelette and a big breakfast.

Also the pricing here is not atrocious like most food operators around the airport. Our three meals with two coffees cost around 60 dollars. Great value for buck I would say.

If you’re after a bite around Auckland airports and want something that isn’t specifically fast food I would highly recommend giving Jamaican Blue a try. They also have some great stuff who are courteous and attentive.

Showstopper: Personally I thought my Spanish omelette was ridiculously filling. I reckon if they added some chilli it would really take the omelette to another level but thats just my suggestion. My brother who had the big breakfast was also quite impressed, he’s an aspiring body builder and he loved the food.

Overall Grade: B+

Make great coffee service very pleasant went for lunch there but unsure if changed chef or owners but my food was very disappointing very basic and no presentation been to this cafe before and enjoyed it

Friendly staff, came for a drink which was nice and their muesli. Sounded nice on the menu, but to be honest really wasn’t that nice. Wasn’t nice and toasted or crispy which is how I expect it to be, went all soggy and oatmealy, wasn’t that tasty. Was expecting a bit more fresh fruit on top. And throughout the muesli there was waaaaaay too many cranberries, I mean I like cranberries, but not so it takes up 35% of the bowl. Way too many, had to eat around them, and even that was hard because of the number of them. Was very disappointed, not worth my money at all.
Cabinet food looks good though, and I’m sure other things on the menu are better. Just do not get that muesli.

Had a below average meal here. Been here a few times in the past and it used to be great. Had the smashed avo on toast which is usually tasty. Was plain and boring . The maple bacon was just normal bacon and with maple syrup on top. Doesn't take a rocket science to know avocado salsa and maple syrup is a pretty disgusting combo

Really enjoyed Jamaica Blue. Great coffee and food. Friendly and efficient staff. Everything that is needed really. Was pretty busy but we didn't have to wait long for food/coffee. 😊

Stopped by here for lunch today, with low expectations as their Zomato rating isn’t the best and there aren’t a lot of cafes in the area. But after our visit we were pleasantly surprised. The space has a nice vibe about it and I liked that it is well lit with natural light. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating so you won’t have trouble finding a table – even during peak times.

The service was good! Our food was served in 10 minutes and the staff were friendly and welcoming. We ordered the Smashed avo on toast with haloumi and the creamy mushrooms on toast. The mushrooms were really tasty and with just the right amount of creaminess. It was a simple dish done well. The smashed avocado on toast was also good. All the ingredients in the dish were really fresh and they were happy to switch the bacon out for haloumi (and plenty of it). The coffee was pretty decent too.

Although it’s not the best café food we’ve had, we wouldn’t rule it out. They have a decent breakfast and lunch menu, and for those needing a quick bite – their cabinet food looks pretty good too.

Went there today with 3 others and would rate this the worst coffee shop experience ever. Barely acknowledged by staff, drinks were lukewarm, practically nothing was priced even the coffee list on the wall, and watched while another customers food from the grill was left waiting on the counter until he had to come and get it himself. This place is looking very tired and in need of a major make over in all areas.

I get free food vouchers at my shifts at the Auckland hospital so during the last few weeks, Iv been using them mainly at Jamaica Blue and I have no regrets coz their coffee is actually soooo nice!! That's all I've mainly tried so far and I'm hoping to get around their cabinet food eventually as well. I also like how they have little loyalty cards. The staff are so cute and chirpy all the time!! :)

Food & coffee ok. Sadly haven't kept up high standard of cleanliness we've been used to in the past. Scruffy, tables not cleared/wiped,water not replaced & toilets in dire need of professional clean! Very disappointing ...used to be a favourite place. Don't skimp on staff .. it costs you!

Good coffee but out of 5 meals we had 4 mistakes, my family and I weren't too impressed by this after a nice morning out. Don't have anything else to say but it needs to have 140 characters.

Having been here for a work lunch last week, i feel that the current average rating of 2.7 out of 5 is very much justified. It's a nice place, well decorated, good ambience, service was ok too. However, out of 7 of us that had lunch, no one was particularly impressed. We felt the portion size was quite small but they charged a fair bit. Small breakfast was fit for a kids meal (with small coffee include) yet it cost $19; bit steep for lunch. If you head to Mangers Bridge, you can get a better meal for same price or cheaper.

Good coffee. Good food however the food is too expensive. I usually get the seasme chicken Turkish sandwich. It's nice way too expensive for what you get.

Popped over here for a meeting and ordered a slice of red velvet cake and saw their promo for a coconut berry smoothie (something along those lines) so I ordered that too.

The cake -bloody amazing. Love the cream cheese on it. But the smoothie on the other hand... A big fat fail. I mean it wasn't revolting or anything. Just wasn't what it advertised it to be and what I expected it to be. Berry flavour? Yes. Coconut flavour? No. Desiccated coconut even? Nope. Sooooo I don't know where the coconut was in this drink 🤔

My colleagues tell me that the coffee is made way better = tastes better when you dine in, rather than having it takeaway. Guess they spend more time making your coffee if you dine in compared to rushing it when you ask for it to takeaway.

Part of the Ibis hotel complex, this is a nice cafe for a catch up with friends.
Very clean with nice decor. Staff are friendly.
Menu items are like your typical cafe items.
Food is very affordable. Parking is easy and if it fills up there is always plenty of parking close by.

I have been this cafe for a quick lunch, coffee is great especially the latte art, looks very nice. And meal tastes good, but the price is a little bit over. Staff are very nice service is good. I'll be there again when I go to Auckland oaks.

Coffee was average, little bit on the mild side. Food was average, small portion nothing special! Price was hugely over priced! Service was slow and below average!

If you haven't been here, maybe don't bother.

I feel as a Coffee Shop you should be able to make a decent coffee. Unfortunately this is not what I get when visiting here. In desperate times however, as there are few coffee spots around Airport Oaks, I will get my caffeine fix at Jamaica Blue. In saying that, their rewards program is brilliant, quite often I receive free beverages. The banana bread heated is also to die for. Rest of the menu is quite overpriced and the selection/taste is average. Service is slow, however this place is also quite busy. Iced Coffees/chocolates seem watery, not the greatest.
Sumit
Good place for what it is. Wouldn't say is the best place but it's good for a quick stop over. Still is a nice place especially the seating outside which is a nice touch.

To slow for service and ordered a soy flat white and she gives me a trim flat white. I said Soy and she replied No you didn't. SHE talks to the coffee maker in a foreign language and he cool but she is not an when she hands me my coffee I held my hand out and she places it on the table . Will not go back there be aware of her attatude she is Asian I'm sorry but she has lost my service now

A great place to stop before flying out. The coffee is slightly expensive but I guess that's the price you pay for a good cup of coffee! They do daily specials which includes a main meal and a coffee, so worth it!!
