A very lovely start to our dinner. My partner and I were welcomed by a nice looking girl. We were seated and served with drinks.
Our first dish came along promptly. It was nice and tasted of Thai all over. Nicely made but I do think the chicken was over cooked but this was perfectly hidden with peanut sauce. Either that or it is supposed to be over cooked.
Everything else was lovely. The service was exceptionally nice.
Ordered 2 dishes and they were delivered via @menulog. Both were still hot and delicious when they arrived. Meat was tender and flavours were great. Medium was a bit hotter than expected but manageable.

Lovely food as always and we continue to come back here. Meals are a generous size and all the dishes have lots of meat which not a lot of other Asian style restaurants tend to have. There was only one waiter on, so service was a bit slow but we were brought a complementary entree to compensate for the fact our meals were going to take a little longer. Will definitely be back and would happily recommend it to others.
Went here for lunch today after walking the whole street and finding quite a few Asian restaurants closed. Staff lady was very polite and precise. Decor and music was nice too. My order took exactly 8 mins (as I had a short lunch break so was checking the time) Food taste and quality was good too. Quantity not too much not too little. I ordered red curry and the star rice was so cute. For $11.50 this was a great lunch!
Thank you to the wonderful staff who made and served our food on Tuesday evening. I asked for gluten free food and they went our of their way to change the sauce in my favourite dish to accommodate my allergies. They were very knowledgeable and happy to help. Amazing service and will surely be back!
Ordered a panang chicken curry and Thai yellow chicken curry with 2 roti breads for only $40.

Went here as part of a group booking - 7 of us. We decided on the banquet because that was the easiest and we weren't disappointed. The food was all good in portion size and it was very fresh and tasty. The hosts were very pleasant and the restaurant nice and small - I hate big loud places. They were also doing a busy takeaway trade. The restaurant is BYO and licensed, so 2 of our group nipped out to the bottle store for some wine, but they also had plenty in their fridge. If I lived closer this would be a regular for me because I love Thai food.
We live in Albany and have visited Talay Thai almost once a week over the last four years. We drive past many Thai restaurants to visit this restaurant because of the friendly staff, great service and consistency in the menu. Always a friendly word , smile and chat from Peter, Nong and the staff... it's like seeing family. The fact that it is BYO suits us and the atmosphere is very authentic as well, adding to the ambience.
We have introduced many friends to Talay Thai who have become regulars themselves. We particularly like the Thai green curry but have tried entrees and other mains as well, and have never been disappointed!
This was a walk in because we couldn't get into the restaurant we had planned to. I am so glad we found it because it such a pleasant experience! Really creamy and ready green curry (and a huge serving). I didn't want spicy so went for Mild and it was very mild but still very flavoursome. Roti bread was also delicious.
Always seen a lot of people in this place, so decided to try it with mum for dinner tonight. We had a mixed entree platter and was really pleased with the curry puffs (always a hot favourite of mine), the others tasted pretty okay too. My mum had a duck and prawn dish each and both dishes were presented beautifully. The duck dish had peanuts sprinkled on the side of the plate on top of a thick sauce drizzled over the meal and there was also a great balance of veges to go with the meat. I thought the rice portion was a bit small (not enough to go with the dish considering and I'm an average Asian girl) also the dishes were VERY sweet. Otherwise, would go back for lunches as it's cheaper!

8.30pm looking for food after visiting gma at north shore hospital. Not much open monday night but drove past this place so stopped in. Glad we did. Even though it was close to closing they seated us. Very nice gentleman served us and took our order. Spring rolls and curry puff tasted freshly made and were delicious. Green curry, pad med ma maung and pad thai mains were really good. Oldish environment but dont let that stop you. Highly recommend this place. Great staff service and food. Will happily go back here
Customer service was excellent! Seated immediately and once we ordered food was to us in about 10 minutes!!
Tasted fantastic and price was a lot cheaper than we were expecting and again quality was fantastic!!

Ordered on their website for pick up on way through. Was using Ubereats until they advised cheaper via website 🤦🏽♀️ Got there 2mins before estimated time to pick up and it was ready. I should’ve asked if that was a warming oven I saw. Greeted by lovely older gentleman who quickly got my order. Never many parks along this strip but quick nip in/out is easy. My go-to for Thai.. love, love!
