Today we enjoyed 2 fabulous burgers and chips at the Mokau Butchery Food Caravan. Absolutely delicious and made with quality ingredients. Worth every cent. We will be back and happily recommend a visit. The staff are terrific too. Thanks again ladies.
Bought some burger patties on our way home from New Plymouth tatt n art festival. Bloody beautiful burgers were had for din dins! Got a couple in the freezer. We love finding small gems on our travels! Thanks again tasty as!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND..At least you know the meat is fresh as and no fat 100% ..NOT just that he has got the flavouring to go with all your meat..Thanks to bbq pit boys for there sauces and flavouring...He did run out of bacon when I got there dam it next time..And you can ring in for an order with the butcher..
The best butchery to be found. High quality meats fresh off the farm. This place is worthy of a detour on your road trip. We tried the sausages - only about 100% meat content ! The lamb shank roasted up well and was falling off the bone without even trying....

Great food, this was a whitebait Sammy, bacon burger was good, had go buy some sausages and bacon to takeaway.

The people working at the butchery and the burger truck are LOVELY. the burgers are great, but the family who makes them are just amazing. They heard that we were looking for a place to buy earplugs in the evening when everything in the area was already closed, and the next xt day when we came back for more delicious food, they gave me a pair of earplugs!! Who does that!? People are just so kind. And again - try their burgers, so good!
Awesome butcher, super helpful and epic meat. I dropped in on the way north and had a couple of scotch steaks cut to my desired thickness. Cooked them up that night in some butter and they blew my mind... Super tender.
Well worth a visit, I'll be back for sure next time I pass through.
Stopped there on Saturday and got some pork sausages. Just had a couple of them with sourkraut a short time ago. Sausages so tasty and lean amongst the best I've ever had. I'll be back. Brilliant shop, highly recommended.
