Xoong - Mount Eden - Photo album

The staff was very accommodating to our group that day. We were originally seated inside but was too tight and my sister forgot to inform them of the extra numbers. We were shifted to a bigger table which had a more open space. Food was a bit spicy if you have young kids so that’s why I couldn’t giv
Very traditional Chinese restaurant environment.Staff were very nice I spill something they were prompt with service. (I’m clumsy) Food wise it was great honestly. Interesting take on Asian cuisine but some of it was wrong. Duck fried rice flavour was great but a bit too salty. The rice was also a b
Excellent service, delicious and well presented food and great ambience. Highlights were the Peking Duck Pancakes, Salmon Curry and Duck fried rice.
The food was excellent, gorgeously decorated, and well prepared. The service, however, was average. Although the waitress was competent and professional, she forgot to refill our water glasses, which is a very fundamental and crucial task. She didn't ask as to whether we wanted to have dessert. We w
Awesome experience and service! The cuisine is more Asian features and mixed with local taste, bring normal dishes with a new soul! creative dishes with a well-displayed delicious food is what we got today. More spaces upstairs and rich design details are hidden everywhere, especially loves the cou
A must visit restaurant in Auckland. Walking in, the great decor and vibe really set our expectations. We felt we'd decided on the right restaurant. There were four different staff members that served us throughout the night, and each person was super fun, friendly, and helpful. We had a few cock
Amazing customer service + astounding food. Food portion is okay. They also have nice cocktails and mock-tails. Would definitely come here again. 😊
We enjoyed the food and the decor is nice too. I would say the eggplant chips were the favourite accompanied by the tamarind sauce. The rolled noodles in the pad Thai were delicious, although the chicken was okay. Dishes are for sharing so worked well with our group of four.
Yum! We ordered a set menu which contained a sample of all their best dishes. They portioned them out according to how many people we had so it was super convenient for us. Highlight dishes were the tuna sashimi, duck fried rice, and wok tossed veges - intense wok hay! They gave us an upstairs table
We went for a birthday party and as we were a large group we decided to get the set menu. It was a massive spread I would say 15 or more dishes, no one left hungry. Dishes came from many different Asian countries for example peking duck from China and green papaya salad from Thailand, also some fu
This place has a lot of good food, and it's of good quality and usually arrives very quickly! Xoong also has pretty good prices! although the menu isn't very big, the other redeeming qualities of this restaurant highly compensate for that. Some things I would recommend from here include; the sweet
Was quite eager to try this place since it is fairly new. Look for hanging lanterns and an X to find the entrance. The entrance leads to the bar but then I was lead to the other side which had the dining area. It was nicely laid out and it wasn't too packed so it was comfortable to move between the
A brand new food joint which already has full bookings at lunch time. We had to sit on the bar side which was still pleasant but the tables are obviously made for drinking as they are quite small. Food is presented really well and are good modern takes on the classic Chinese restaurant dishes. Cooke
Great food here at Xoong this evening. Not very crowded and the food presentation was fantastic. Very good fla oalrs that mix well together. The duck fried rice was epic. Desserts were extra decadent. The Jasmine Balls were in and extremely sweet syrup, but apart from that definitely a place to dine
We recently went on a date night to Xoong and I cannot recommend this place enough. Have been telling everyone what an enjoyable experience it was. Service was impeccable and the food was absolutely delicious with big portions. Do yourself a favour and try the popping prawns - YUM! We can’t wait to
I really like this place. So many flavoursome and interesting dishes that I can't pick a favourite - but I will mention the superlative fish tacos I just had, and the rich, unctuous Tom Yum Negroni. Good late-night vibe and friendly efficient staff too.
Curried salmon with rice and a glass of fine Red wine made my night.
Delicious Asian Fusion food that caters to (almost) all palates. Maybe not suitable for young kids as it's on the spicy side. Excellent service, good wine list and a really lovely setting. Highly recommended.
