Loved the bar, it was good to have an Irish bar and just chill. We went in between lunch and dinner at 4pm so the kitchen was closed but there was still some finger foods to nibble on while having a drink with friends ^^

Mondays are $20 for an entire whole rack of bbq ribs on top of a mount of fat fries. Chips. Sorry. Chips. They give you bowls of water and lemon to wash your fingers too. I love NZ.

Staying in Tauranga for a holiday this week and we had the chance to visit quite a few food hospo places. I have to say I was very impressed with the Tuesday special at Mount Mellicks. There is a special everyday on the menu which I think is a great promotional idea. Always gets the Punters in the door. The food that we received was great with good presentation and the service was excellent. I would happily recommend this pub for a drink and a good feed if you are in the area.

This is a pretty cozy Irish Pub. The drink selection for beers and whiskeys is decent. The cocktails on the menu don't seem to fit the vibe of an Irish pub however. Food on the menu is pretty good pub food, but the pizzas were on the average end. I was impressed with how quickly food came out.

Probably one of the best burgers I had ever! Quite good menu. You can choose a lot of different drinks and food. There sits inside and outside. Suggest to visit once you are close to it!

Dinner for 2. March 2019.Tuesday Steak Night 2 for 1. Lets be honest - not expecting the world for the price of the meal, so in saying that, it was very small in size but tasty all the same. Pitty they well overcooked the medium rare to done. Service was attentive but not intrusive and friendly.Pitty that when you sit out the back the lights only work in sensor - umbrellas are up in the evening, suns down so ... you can't see ! Desert looked nice.

Good place if you want to grab a beer and have a good time. Is best if you come early, otherwise you have to wait a lot for someone to take your order. The food is good and it isn't that expensive.

This one I have to admit was my own fault- really, what fool expects to get an edible steak for $10?? Apparently me. I have to give them their due though- my steak was cooked to medium-rare as I asked for it. But it was obviously very poor quality meat as I couldnt actually eat much of it- it was more chew and discard. Not too bad in its own way- as I got some nutrients from the food without getting too many calories :-) Anyways, lesson learnt.

Overall good pub grub. Good value for money. I had the steak sandwich and it was huge, my friend had the chicken sandwich, which was nice but would have been better if it was served as a hot option. The barman was friendly and although the décor is a bit dark and dingy not a bad experience.

We have had good and bad meals here. Roasts are great, but last year had pan fried fish that wasn't so good. Good prices and friendly staff.
