This place has really picked up its act since Palmers next door closed. Good food, well priced, and a pleasant environment. Secure kids play area and outside shelter if raining but warm. Practical menu with some good kids choices. Our grandchildren love the place and,we love the food. Good coffee too.

Best Iced Coffee, very friendly and staff great. Love the fish and chips. Dogs are made to feel welcome with water bowls. We have had the breakfast here also and it was lovely. Lots of space for everyone to relax.

Great cafe, best in HB. Staff very friendly and always helpful. Food great, well worth a visit. We visit often and always have very good service. Lots of parking and it is free which is a bonus. Has a child area and a adult area which is good. Cabinet always looks good. We have the burger often and always great. Very clean and friendly.

Went for lunch with a friend and I had a great time, ordered crepes with bananas and bacon and they are gluten free and absolutely delicious. Also got a coffee made with coconut milk. So good. Nice, quiet location

Ignore any reviews from 3+ years ago as new mgt has taken over since then. This cafe is one of the best in the area. The breakfasts are fantastic. The best coffee. In summer their fruit smoothies are so refreshing. The cabinet food is always amazing. And the staff are friendly and helpful. Top that off with the setting of a garden centre. Highly recommended for breakfast, lunch or a pick-me-up.

Great cafe and always enjoy coming here. My wife and I usually go on weekends as it is a nice place for brunch and a coffee. Have tried a few of their breakfasts, which are always excellent. Great coffee and service too. Will definitely keep coming back.

So lovely to find a cafe that protects the enjoyment of patrons by removing rude/disruptive customers. Staff will politely remove adults/children throwing tantrums and embarrassing themselves and others. Makes for a pleasant dining experience.

Fantastic venue surrounded by the floors of Palmer's finest. Under shelter, shade or out in the sun, your pet pooch is welcome to come along if they are well behaved or working dogs. Menu board or take your pick of what's available on display. Lots to look at, relaxed venue that is large enough for small groups or even privacy.

Today was our first visit. Awesome cuppachino and muffin. I had a custard and raspberry muffin and the others shared a bowl of French fries which came with aioli and tomato sauce. It also has a playground and colouring-in books available for the kids.

Great coffee, food and outdoor seating. Friendly service. A group of 20 gave advance warning of our arrival. We were all served swiftly.

We keep returning to Botannix because we enjoy it so much. Good food and drinks, friendly service and environment, and the choice of sitting inside, under shade outside or in the open areas where you can appreciate the warmth of the climate.

Having gone into this place with high hopes and seeing that the prices were a bit more than most other places I'd have to say, they met them pretty well, the eggs Benedict was very nice and the presentation was great. The only downside being mine and my partners drinks came out 5 minutes apart, but otherwise, the staff were friendly and it was overall a good experience.

Me and my parents come here fairly often whenever I'm back from uni and we absolutely love it. The coffee is the best in Napier, the food is great (especially the fries) and very decent prices, and the staff are absolutely lovely and have amazing customer service skills.

Wow, what a difference! Now Cafe Botannix is on our 'Go to' list. (It used to be on our 'Don't go to' list.)<br/><br/>I had the Spanish Omelet and partner, the Pasta, Chorizo and Pumpkin salad. Awesome food and lovely service.

Called in yesterday after shopping at Palmer's and to say that I was blown away by the service is an understatement.<br/><br/> Awesome food very attentive team Could certainly teach a lot of the other cafes in the area a thing or two.<br/><br/> Will certainly be making it my "local"

So terribly expensive for what we got! I visited this place with my 3 year old seeing that they had a play area, but was very disappointed with the service and the very expensive food. I bought a little tart and tiny sausage roll that looked like it was a bought frozen and cooked and a little water buddies drink for my 3 year old, and a pumpkin and feta small quiche and was asked if I would like a side salad with that, and a latte, $32.00!!! They charged me $5 for the side salad which was a joke as it was a piece of lettuce, two bits of tomato and 2 bits of capsicum and smothered in Mayo and the quiche was $9.50! We left very disappointed, and won't be back!

I am a coeliac so need to be gluten free and no choices, they said they do their own orange juice. Not good, I think it was lemonade or mello yellow added to it. Service bad, food not good. We visited from Christchurch, very disappointing. Ordered Thai chicken salad it was no that at all.

Awful do not waste your time going here. Upon arrival we were awkwardly greeted then the old lady says "oh have a few of these don't you" referring to our deal vouchers however it was the first time going there. We ordered 2 $6 iced chocolates which weren't even cold and one came out big one came out small and so I took them back to the lady and asked why this was, she said the special needs boy who works there was just trying to be nice however she then said "I will take the big one back and make it a small one then" in her smarty pants voice. She then came out to serve a table beside us and said in a loud voice "don't worry it, the boys been screamed at" was that to show off in front of her friends she was serving or was it to try and be little us? then he was made to apologize which was not on he was so nervous when he was around this lady, and when he spoke. Yes he made a mistake but to be so rude to your customers and him being screamed at is ridiculous. Then no goodbye or have a nice day. I will definitely be following this up with the manager as you cannot treat special needs people or anyone in fact the way this lady has treated us all today.

Absolute crap. We were visitors from out of town. We arrived with deal vouchers and the woman was rude about us having them and ask so many questions. If they don't want vouchers don't sell them. Got iced chocs and they were like milo and milk served for morning breakfast at home. Lunch was greasy food slapped up. Wouldn't recommend.

Went here on holiday using a deal voucher, 2 breakfast meals or $18. The food was very average.<br/><br/>Then we had our usual Trim Late's which I can only describe as close to dishwater. When we returned them to the counter the woman actually tasted the coffee from the cup that I had been drinking from (ewwwww) and then proceeded to tell us that it was a great coffee.<br/><br/>She gave us a refund but said she would not be refunding coffee again because it was the perfect cup! She also had the audacity to tell us that they serve the best coffee in the bay which is an absolute untruth.<br/><br/>Went into Napier city and had a lovely coffee at one of the many fine cafe's there.
