We enjoyed a very delicious meal at the China Light Restaurant in Napier. The waitress was just the right amount of attentive. We ordered the crispy won tons and spring rolls as our entree, they were crisp and hot as they should be. The china light specialty fried rice was delicious enough to eat on its own although we did have it with the satay beef which definitely did not disappoint. Both left feeling very satisfied. Also the Peter Yealand Pinot Gris matched the meal impeccably

decided to grab takeaways on way home for dinner last night. not knowing area well stopped when came across this restaurant. only after we ordered did i see the ratings on here and thought oh my god after awful lunch. shouldnt have worried. service friendly and efficient. food good. the let down is portion size for price and also lack of seasoning otherwise would have rated higher

We had our first dining in experience at China Light this weekend and we thoroughly enjoyed it! We have had takeaways from here before and the food is always fresh and tasty. We will definitely be back again!

I'm really happy that China Light is open again after its holiday! Had to go to another Napier chinese restaurant for a work function and it was awful compared to China Light! No comparison really! The food is always tasty and you know it will be the same high quality when you order.

We've just moved to Napier & were looking for a family friendly Asian restaurant.China Light meets all our expectations & some!!Fabulous fresh food, large servings, all served by knowledgeable, friendly staff. Amazing value for money. We can't afford to eat out often so it was a real treat for us. Will definitely go back. Recommend it to anyone who enjoys fresh food in a clean friendly restaurant.

We have been going to China Light for years! Have dined in and frequently get take aways. The meals are ALWAYS tasty and fresh! The won tons and dim sims are amazing and the deep fried ice cream is something everyone should try! The meals are huge and good value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful and it has an awesome atmosphere!:)

My family have been customers for ages. 3 generations dine here or get takeaways.Fabulous fresh as food, HUGE portions. The dim sim are absolutely divine. Friendly staff.Maybe the dessert menu could be extended but the deep fried ice cream is ..WOW !

The best Chinese in town and beyond. I've never had a bad dish. The lemon chicken is a must have, it never disappoints, and try the deep fried icecream balls for desert if you are dining in. Delicious food, quick service and family friendly.

The BEST Chinese food ever!! Been having this my whole life as this is our family go to. Try the pork and black bean spare ribs - Amazing, combo or chicken fried rice & the chicken wings are awesome too!

China light was the only place open on new years day and we're glad we stopped by. The chicken in plum sauce was amazing. We would highly recommend.
