I visited Novotel's Food Exchange with my family for dinner last week and was extremely happy with the overall experience. The buffet had a great spread, and was topped up by some excellent service and nice peaceful ambience. On teh buffet - the quality of food was very good and the range was a nice combination of Indian and other cuisines. In particular, the dishes in Asian section were very well prepared - which was very nice because you don't get that in many places. The Indian dishes (especially the starter) were also fresh and well cooked as per fine standards. I was also pretty happy with the service provided by the staff - in particular by the manager (Ashutosh) and others like Uttam, Rohit and Rampal. We had a small baby with us and they made sure to cater to any of our specific needs. Special thanks also to Pooja, who was handling the helpdesk and also ensured that my baby had a nice time.
Wemt here when the new owners first took over.. They have done a fantastic job!! Decent prices also, my partner and i had a sit in meal and the burger were huuuge!! Brilliantly presented and delicious.. We also had a glass of alcohol each and it was so cheap, i was expecting to pay atleast 80, but the total bill came to 60. I definitely recommend!! Staff are also very lovely and we got checked on constantly but not to the point that it was annoying. 10/10
After moving from Auckland to the Inglewood area, we made the rounds of local eateries and were relieved when we finally recommended Funk Fish Grill by a neighbour and visited. Fabulous takeaways that are still crispy after a 20 min drive home. The burgers are huge and gourmet, the chips crispy and the fish fresh. We've eaten in the restaurant also, experiencing excellent service - love you John! The meals were excellent and we'll be back. Two Auckland friends visiting us were very impressed and wanted to take the furniture and wine glasses away with them. We frisked them before they left - we have to still live here lol
We discovered Funkfish in Dec 2013 and have been there nine times since. I love the huge wine glasses and the attentive service. Never have I been able to finish the meal, the portions are huge. I am not a seafood lover but I always have a great time. Family from other parts of NZ and from Australia love to visit us because we take them to this restaurant where they eat Mussels Three Ways and scallops and oysters and best of all, black tiger prawns. I haven't found a single thing to criticise.
Had a great night out for tea last week. Would recommend it to everyone. Its got a homely feel with both staff warm and welcoming, never was my water empty.
The white chocolate and strawberry cheese cake was amazing as well as the warm pizza bread and bread and butter dessert.
Could not fault a thing.
Really great restaurant. Food is excellent and very generous portion sizes, service is great also. If you want to try a new restaurant, it's definitely worth the visit! Never disappoints.
Try the pan fried fish with tiger pawns and risotto - it is amazing!
Service was excellent, food was outstanding and fish cooked to perfection, visual presentation was exceptional. Unable to fault any of the food, starters, main or dessert. The bathroom facilities were high class and very clean. Highly recommended to all.
We have enjoyed take-outs from Funk Fish Grill, many times, but went in last week and had a sit down meal. I have been totally converted to prawns.....(I've always been determined to like them, as they're very beneficial, health-ways...) - I tried a few of my husbands, which were flash fried in garlic and butter. O.M.G!!!! I have since bought a bag of frozen prawns and going to attempt to replicate this, though we will be regular diners from now on. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, the owner/waiter was well informed, fun, and friendly, and the décor conducive to fine dining. We are totally rapt we've found somewhere locally where we can get a great meal, in a great atmosphere. Another 'conversion' for me was a sample of my husbands' dessert: John's take on "Bread and Butter Pudding." Unbelievable!! Thanks John....we'll be back!!

We enjoy it so much we keep going back, even though we live in NP. All the food is so fresh, the fish is perfect as are the pizzas. Something a little different.

Best fish n chips of my life; I'm not joking. How lucky we were to be desperately hungry when passing through Inglewood. Apparently the cat isn't allowed out so we were also lucky to see them but what a charmer. Good wine too.

Unlike other fish and chips take away places in the country, this place knows how to cook. The texture, smell and taste was simply superb!!!

This cosy restaurant is a gem. It is a credit to the uoung couple who own this business . It's friendly, spacious and thoroughly enjoyably. Great food and generous serves, from a sensibly restricted, mainly seafood menu, great wine list. What more could you want.
