Review Scotts Brewing Co - Oamaru

Wow... Great stuff, the hub of Oamaru. Valiant effort at working with gluten free ingredients to create a beer but it's not for me. I settled on the double IPA for drinkies there and takeaway. I never thought I'd ever get a true pint. Highly recommend after a hard days steampunking.

We stopped here for a bite on our way to see the penguins. Ate some fairly tasty pizza and washed it all down some very good brews. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Staff is nice and service is good. Ample parking for the site and close to town.

A great place. The bar and restaurant attached are a place to be especially on a summer evening. Wonderful pizzas recommended by two locals.

Arrived in Oamaru very VERY hungry in the first days of January only to find a dead town and nobody open for service... Lucky we walked down to the end of the road and found these guys! Mind-blowingly good pizza - not just because we were super hungry! And the beer was phenomenal! Check out these guys if passing through :)

Great beer, great food & great staff. Their food rolls out the door in quick time, even when the place is packed. Runs like a well oiled steam engine. Thank you very much.

Pizza is ok but the Harbourmaster is the best beer 🍺

We were on our way to see the penguins when we saw this brewery and decided to give it a go. We were walking from our hotel and we thought Oamaru was a very quiet town. Much to my surprise, it seems everybody was here!! 😅 It was busy in the pub, and people were lining up to order. There’s plenty of seating outside and inside, but most were taken when we were there. I was a bit cold (it was a windy day) and so glad we found seats inside. They have a great selection of beer, and we opted to order a flight. It’s always the way to go if you haven’t tried their beers. Their food menu looks good too, especially the pizza. The place is kids-friendly, as I could see families with small children there as well. Great spot to chill and meet people in Oamaru.

Sensationally presented craft brewery & restaurant, located down by the waterfront. A must for any visitor to Oamaru. First class in every aspect!!

Great meals at a great price. Unless you're a huge eater, buy one meal and share it. The loaded fries with pulled pork was amazing.

I loved this place, it had a very buzzy vibe with lots of people from families to friends out for a good night. We had pizza chips and beer and I have to say they were delicious. Highly recommend to go and experience this yourself.

Always a great atmosphere. Awesome place to have a pint n catch up with friends and family. Piza is just the best in town. Wood fires roaring on cold days / nites which adds another level to the ambiance! Just a neat place for a pint n chat!

Great place to meet friends and family and enjoy some time relaxing over a pint of 1905 is my favourite along with Gingerbeer that is delicious. The service is excellent, very friendly and accommodating, along with the best food in town, pizza's are a speciality!

We are from Oregon, USA and therefore like beer. A lot. The Harbourmaster IPA is the best we’ve had during a month in New Zealand. And the Meatworkers pizza was delicious! Did not like the raspberry cider (it has an artificial chemical flavor). The apple cider was better, but not great—it was weak flavored with zero body. But “all stars” for the IPA and pizza!

Popped in for a quick drink and chips before heading home. Always good to drink beer fresh at the source. Friendly staff, good choice of beers. Looking forward to heading back to try a pizza matched to beer.

Scrumptious beef brisket burgers. Great beer and cider. I want to come back and buy a Scott's flagan. Loved the huge shiny beer vats. A must do in Oamaru!

Recently held our after wedding function there bringing in around 40 people for food and drink which was delicious. What a beautiful place to show case Oamaru to our guests. Relaxed atmosphere and Frank the musician made the place rock. What a great night!!

Great beer and great pizza with a fantastic outdoor area. Awesome to see they think about your kids too with the clipboards for colouring and a bag of chips for a treat. We stop here whenever we're in the area. It's a real gem in Oamaru.

Good to see you're not serving people drinks after they've had 800ml of beer. Clearly you treat the rest of your patrons as such. Have been a supporter for four years but not going to be any longer

Good pizza, good fries, enjoyed the beer sampler despite the dark beer not being my taste

Pizzas were good . Ribs are the best . And the boulder pale ale is a good drop
