Hot diggity damn good grub!!! Portions are too generous and delicious. Friendly staff. Worth dropping by for a hearty meal. Lamb shoulder will probably be enough for 2 small stomachs or 1 starving man.
An absolutely outstanding meal! I was in the mood for fish so I asked for advice on which dish & went for the mitre gourmet option which was pan fried sole layered with salmon with mashed potato & greens. I wanted more sauce and the staff said no problem. Delicious dinner & will remember this meal for a long time!
This was my first time eating here and it's one I would gladly do again. It was a fantastic experience from start to finish and was also enjoyed by my partner and 2 friends. The service was excellent from both the bar staff and serving staff. The meal was cooked well and very tasty. If you are ever in Oamaru I would suggest that you give them a try I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Really busy night after the All Blacks game. No table available when we came in, but they found us one whilst we waited at the bar.
Food, portion size and taste were all great value for money.
Step Father wa stoked with his Pan fried cod, and my steak was slightly over cooked, which seeing how mad busy they were was understandabls, but still tasted amazing and the sides were great.
Highly recommend this place as not only were staff friendly, helpful, and overall lovely, the food was tasty.

The food was delicious, beautifully cooked and presented. I can recommend the ribeye steak and the chocolate brownie. Our mock tails were served in lovely crystal cut glasses and tasted like a real fruity cocktail.
Our only gripe was the table by the door on a very cold Oamaru evening was chilly and draughty The fire was going but warmth did not reach our table.

The food was delicious, I had the chicken salad which was really tasty and a large serving, my friend had pasta of the day which was creamy and great flavour of bacon. This was topped off with chocolate brownie, totally Devine.
The service was really good even with them being understaffed.
Highly recommend.
Loved the beer and the food was great. Puts the open steak sandwich in Australia to shame. You would get what we call minute steak in Australia, which is just a 3 to 4 millimetre think steak on a sourdough with some salad. Australia has a lot to learn from you guys

We came too late for the dinner menu, so we ordered chicken wings. They were awesome. The french fries which came with them were a bit too saturated with oil in my opinion.
Great place for lunch. Great service from friendly welcoming staff. Food was fast and AMAZING! Steak sandwich and Harissa Pork would highly recommend both. So happy we found Fat Sally’s after our long drive from Tekapo. 👌
