It's my local - even though its out of my way for me. Because the food is better and the service is great. The owners are always friendly and always have a smile.
Note: they no longer do lunchboxes.
New owners that take over from 7th November 2023 and they may offer something. For now assume not.
But since Friday 13 October 2023 there are no more lunchboxes.
The service here is excellent and the staff are always friendly. The food is always delicious (especially the vegetarian burger). The store is kept very clean. They have quite reasonable prices for the food as well. 100% recommend eating here.

Great food go there all the time
Me and my partners absolute favourite place, good quality fish cooked in a fryer which has a built in oil filter, absolutely delicious. Love their raspberry and white chocolate doughnut and having spoken to the friendly owner it is clear that they put a lot of thought into their menu and how they can improve it over time :)
The girl who served me was lovely. The chips were the closest to what we would get at an English 'chippy' which was an amazing find! And my god the strawberry and white chocolate donuts are a scummy and massive!! Will definitely be back next time we're passing through!
When I scurryed in dark just before the close, I was hungry for my fryed rice fix, the owner and his partner were kind, funny, and quick to offer their recommendations and fix me up with a great feed, I will return soon, hungry for more.
My hubby and I were travelling through Oamaru and stopped and purchased your wonderful food - hot dog was lovely and spicy, and both fish and meat pattie were absolutely huge and tasted the best ever. Will certainly remember to call in again when passing. Well done :)
Absolutely amazing takeaway shop! The fish and chips were among the best I've ever had and the service was excellent. Definately will be back next time in Oamaru.
