Stopped on the way from Taupo to Wellington with the kids to check this out as an alternative to our usual Taihape cafe stop, this is now our favourite place to stop when heading in or out of Wellington on a longer journey. The food was pretty good, coffee great, service great, but more importantly there are so many things to keep the kids busy and running around. The animals are a big hit and super friendly, there are plenty of games both indoor and outdoor, including a bouncy castle and there is even a really cool maze to explore for gold coin entry fee.
We stayed in one of the pods, it was cosy and clean, very nice to stay in! Really pretty location too. We tried to cafe in the morning, it was fantastic - I had the pancakes which were very good, and my partner had the waffles which were incredible!
Stopped here a few times on our drive from Wellington to Taupo as they are exactly in the middle. Lovely staff here and they’ve always got a smile and great service no matter how busy they are! It was raining today but my girls still loved the outside play house and the birds! Will be coming back here for sure, they even have a bouncy castle in the summer!!!
Nice place to stop on a long drive. Plenty of things for the kids to do..
Only thing I didn't like was the smell of the Guys toilets. Overwhelming urine smell reminds me of a night club toilet at 3am.
Great stop off place - excellent place for families, lovely children's play area complete with cooney cooney pigs, rooster, bouncy castle etc. Stayed here overnight, camp area beautifully maintained, cute pods as cabins.
Passing through and stopping for breakfast was amazing. I found an animal farm, cute chalets for accomodation and really good food. We had a a breakfast stacker with mushrooms and pancakes with bacon and banana plus our coffees
The service is so welcoming, the fire was going so warm and the food so yummy. I've never tried banana bacon and pancakes but had some as it looked good in my partners plate. It had a side of jam and yoghurt and was so good
We have stayed twice at the campsite and we really enjoyed the hospitality. Here you can not only spend time with domestic animals, there are also a playground, a maze and a jumping castle. In the cozy lounge there is a play corner where children can have fun in bad weather. The sanitary facilities are a bit small but very well maintained and clean. You can tell that the owner has put a lot of thought into it and has built up a really great concept with lots of small details. By the way, you can have a delicious breakfast in the morning. Thanks again to the owner for the delicious pancakes for our son. Appreciated ☺️

This was a great little place to stop in and enjoy with the kids. Lots of animals to look at and a great range of bakery (and other) options. Coffee could have been stronger.
Great stop between Wellington and Taupo! Gorgeous nature with lots of green and cute farm animals. Both indoor and outdoor seating, clean toilets, great coffee/food and friendly staff always! Can’t recommend enough such a lovely cafe!
Amazing spot to stop for a coffee/snack with kids. Very good service, Great entertainments for kids and the custard squares are so yum.
