Neighborhood café for the residents of Orakei, had a nice coffee while enjoying a run around the Orakei neighborhood.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have the chance to try the food but judging by how quickly the table in front of me was chomping down the food, it must be pretty good.
Definitely got to make time to come back and try some meals.
Showstopper: Great coffee and friendly staff.

Went to visit my mate again who lives in the area some time ago. It was like forever since I last saw him (actually it was 3 weeks ago). And what better to get some Chorizo Hash, one of my favourite sausages blended with some awesome hollandaise sauce? Now that is food where you would have to buy seconds because they were that good.
The staff there are so friendly and kind and the waiting time wasn't even that long to say the least. What can I say? a great place within a great location.
The place has that 'very busy' vibe although the cafe wasn't that busy at the time I was there. But in overall this is the time of cafe I would definitely come back to. Upon writing this review I can't stop thinking about Chorizo and Hollandaise sauce, sooooo good.
Local favourite...great coffee and awesome food especially for brunch. They also do great homemade frozen meals if you don't feel like cooking one night.
Friendly staff, quick service, nice and cosy. Ordered a couple of coffees that were at a strength I prefer so thumbs up. Ordered basic breakfast, scrambled egg and toast. Staff was happy to swap wholegrain with ciabatta and best of all was the butter. Sitting at the right temperature which makes it easy to spread. I hate it when the butter is cold/hard and have to use your two hands trying to spread it. Overall, had a great start to my Saturday.

Josh and the team make my day every morning, a real joy to have Sebastian's as our local cafe.
I highly recommend this spot.
Ate here today, had pasta salad and it was delicious, mum had a Coronation Chicken Foldover which she loved and dad had a ham, cheese and tomato croissant which again he loved. Would definitely eat here again!

Consistently great - I've been going there for years. Coffee is fabulous and the food delicious. The team are always keen to please - friendly service without being intrusive. Top recommendations for food: (Friday) pie day, eggs benedict (all of the variations are great), the chorizo hash is delicious, and the pea and ham hash is a favourite too.
Very lucky to have Sebastian's as my local cafe!
Fabulous wee place! Homemade food on site and you must try the Pesto, Tomato and Feta Bagel, a real favourite.
Thanks for offering proper selection of exotic teas, rather than a standard tea bag type that most places tend to do!

Great service love the food. Always very pleasant and its clean. Love the doggie water bowl idea plus I love that fact the great service level is always consistent and he takes pride in presentation of his cafe and meals.
The best local cafe in the my area! They have been my breakfast of choice almost every Saturday for years now. Always something to look forward to after a hard week of work. My favourite dishes there are the Chorizo Hash and the Banana Hot Cakes with Bacon. Always made with love and to perfection!
Great little boutique shop with great services from everyone.They also do coffee, cabinet food (sandwiches, cake and pies) and frozen meals! Highly recommend.
Small and cute, this is a great little local spot. Love the rugs and heater outside, ideal if you cannot get a seat indoors. Beautiful cakes and savories, nice take home meals on offer too. Great service, ideal if you're meeting a friend or just wanting a bite yourself. Nice touch selling local products. Lovely clean bathroom facility just as you would expect at home.
Great food and service. Banana pancakes was a surprise, moist yet light. Loved the mushrooms too!
Lovely little cafe, enjoyed my Eggs Benedict and latte was also very good. Seemed very popular with locals always a good sign. Parking on road, would come again.
I have been going to Josh and Sabines cafe now for 12 years so I guess it’s time to post eh !! And let everyone know hands down from the handcrafted food Sabine and the team make to Josh and his coffee out front everything is always on point.
I’m a huge fan of the porridge and muffins and the friday pies 🥧 homemade are simply the best.
I can’t go past the sense of humour of Josh and his famous daily signboard sayings great to read.
It’s great to know here there is always time for a chat and you are not just a table number.

This cafe beat all my expectations with the delicious food, amazing service, exceptional coffee and homely feel. Felt like a neighbourhood cafe where everyone knows everyone and looks after each other. While I ate in, there were so many options for take out and sooo many treats that did not disappoint. No complaints about dining in this cafe.
