Best fish and chips I've ever had. This little, hole in the wall place is a gem. The seafood basket will get you everything you need to be happy.

We stopped over for dinner after checking in. The scent of the fish and chips drew us and personally, we were always looking out for good fish and chips and Vinnies did not disappoint.
The owner was working without any assistance but he was courteous and patient while we were trying to decide. The wait was but for a while and we were greeted with a wide smile. The food was nice and hot. It did not take too long for the family to finish the food - a testament to the quality.
As it was a take away shop, there were no toilets available. Seeing that the kids were in need to use the toilet, the owner was most kind to bring us personally to a toilet - what service.
This is a great spot for fish and chips at Paihia - do visit if you are in the area. Located from the main street and across the road from the Tourist info centre, it would be easy to find and a short walk to the nearby supermarkets.
me and my wife ordered the $19 lunch special on Tuesday afternoon and it was so delicious 🤤 definitely I'll be back to try other things on the menu and also I reckon the best fish and chips in PAIHIA.
Oceans 68 was very accomadating for vegan food. Richard and Lee were quick to offer vegan options. I ended up getting a vegan burger with a falafel patty. They went the extra mile to seperate chips from chicken salt to some without, and they ended up being really yummy chips. The burger was a delicious and classic fish and chip shop burger, like the rest of the non vegan burgers. There was a real effort from Richard and Lee to make changes to make things vegan for me and they made sure throughout that the order was followed to vegan requirements. Highly recommend, thanks Richard and Lee!
Favorite fish & chips we had on our roadtrip! The staff was very friendly both times we went here.
Prices are very fair. We’ve gotten much smaller portions for the same price elsewhere!

Delicious fish and chips. Service was great and whilst waiting for my order everyone kept approaching the staff as they where leaving saying how great the meal was and this was there 3rd or or 4th time there and they come every time they visit from overseas.
One lady "didn't like the flavour of the New Zealand Whiting compared to Australian Whiting" she was offered another meal or a refund but she declined. Which I thought was great service on their part and Interesting compared to some of the negitive comments already posted.
