This was honestly the best Japanese food we have ever eaten. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, and our toddler son downed the kid's meal without leaving a crumb. High praise indeed from a toddler! The chocolate ball was amazing, a perfect finish to a great evening. We will definitely be returning very soon!

Went for a belated birthday dinner with a party of 3. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. We got Edamame and Karate Chicken for starters and then 1 x Salmon Steak, 1 x Wafu Steak and 1 x Teriyaki Chicken (pictured) for mains. The best part was the lovely young girl that served us who was personable, honest and respectful. Thanks Haru team for a lovely evening :)

What an amazing place. For 50$ I had the chefs recommendation. Which had all their signature dishes.. and pretty filling too. Much better than YATAI at Featherston st. Highly recommended. And amazing service.. The dessert was ok creme brûlée. Included in the meal but prolly skip dessert if u r going for Ala Carte.. ————— Visited again sept 2021. Great food. Worth the money spent. This time has prawns and mushroom balls for entree. And other dishes that I have forgotten name. Definitely worth visiting.. ————————- Visited again Nov 2023 :: post Covid Food items have certainly become more expensive but that is true for any restaurant. However the quality has certainly slipped and is not what it was pre Covid. Which I can also understand. However the service has also dipped!!! Which I cannot understand.. We paid 50$/ head for 4 people without any drinks. Sushi, 18$/head for 6 pieces : good and certainly worth it. (X3) Takoyaki - octopus 16$ and very nice squid. 20$ not worth it if you ask me. sizzling salmon 31$, nothing special. I’d avoid. It didn’t even come out sizzling!!! Salmon steak 39$ also worthy tempura platter 40$ (not worth it to be honest) Overall I’d recommend

First time here, the interior takes you straight to Japan and it's gorgeous, the staff are so attentive and friendly. I can't wait to go back to experience their customer service. The went out of their way and called us as they had a cancellation and we got to go in early; that was really good of them.

Oh my gosh, this place was recommended to me and I thank that person for showing me this place. To start we had beautiful service, a drink was offered then the menu was explained. Probably the most tasty food I've ever had in Palmy hands down. There are some great places to eat but if you haven't been here you are missing out! Amazing!

Fabulous meal once again. We are vegan and are never disappointed at the options available. The restaurant was packed and the service was exceptional. You can still hear your table talking even when it is packed busy. Awesome food, service and atmosphere.

Amazing! Everything has been incredibly well presented, delicious & worth while when I have visited. I definitely recommend. The only thing I have to say is the wait times are usually longer so definitely make sure you have enough time to cater for that :)

The wait staff sans the head wait staff don't necessarily know the food. Fortunately, we knew what we wanted. Food was fresh and the platter gave us the chance to try everything from raw, cooked to skewered. Make sure you make a reservation so that you are guaranteed a space.

Great Japanese food. Very fresh sushi and fish, and lots of other tasty bits including the miso eggplant and karage chicken. Good portions and value for money.

Nice enough teriyaki chicken but cold NOTsizzling platter & oily, especially after waiting for the waitress to clean up the miso soup she spilt and I took half of it home on my trousers. No charge me for the miso which is a bit of an insult actually.
