Review Carl's Jr - Palmerston North

Love the food. The taste and texture were superior than the other fastfood chain. The bun were soft. The patty, lettuce, tomato, and the sauce blended very well. The handcut style fries seasoned well. The facilities were also clean and lots of parking. They also have drive-thru.

Enjoyed every moment. Loved the Caramel Milkshake. Friendly snd fast service.

Kids always love this place! Good feed for a reasonable price, good variety as well. Soda fountain is a big treat!

Just got served through the drive-thru by such a polite young man. He was absolutely lovely and had awesome manners. His service was all round amazing. He had stapled my order together as to not let it spill everywhere and was super considerate. The food was nice and hot too, thank you. 🤎

Great food and service with incredibly lovely staff. They were warm and friendly and made us feel welcome.

Every time I always order the Double Western Large Combo I always get it with sprite with ice. Every time I order this here it is always fresh and Juicy The chips can some times not be seasoned enough but the burger makes up for it so I can't complain. The quality of food is better than McDonald's, staff are very friendly and always a fun chatty atmosphere. It's also close to loads of hotels/motels so it's quite convenient for travellers if you have the budget for it.

My wife and I had 2 x big Carls burgers once again and once again they were freecking awesome, by far the best burger in NZ. The trick is to ask for extra sauce.

Its great for the price-quality is beyond wonder it store worker did have a mess up where we got a burger and chips for free but that's fine. Better than across the road I did see someone from my class there with her boyfriend but that's a me problem more than a problem to do with the restaurant

Pretty good and much better than MacDonald's in my opinion. Service at this particular place was excellent and quite quick. We ate in and the food was well cooked, hot and tasty.

I have said this soooooo many times, Wellington NEEDS a Carls Jnr 😔 such a long way to travel, but when we do have Carls Jnr - definitely make the most of it.

Thee best burger place ever, will always be my favourite place to get a decent burger and meal

Great staff and very helpful. Table Service was great. Plenty of parking and drive thru service. Definitely a good place and tasty fast food

Haven't had Carl's Jr for a few years so we were excited that we had the chance to go. Not only did the burgers look like the pictures but they were a decent size too. The staff were all genuine smiles and it was clean and welcoming. Definitely looking forward to our next trip up that way.

I have complained twice (written and verbal) to management about their service and quality of food. No one has responded, even just to tell me that they were working on a solution or at least investigating the situation.<br/><br/>We usually go thru the drive thru and more often than not the food is served cold, fries stale and underportoined. I thought this branch would do better than others around the country, but it doesn't.

I was hoping that this Carl's Jnr would be better than my experiences at other places in NZ. Unfortunately it wasn't. We purchased three combos. Coke seems to be the standard drink on offer because when we asked for Fanta we got coke ... the burgers were average. They tasted and looked like something slapped together making it difficult to eat without getting messy. On the plus side the chicken was cooked unlike the past disaster! We paid for medium combos and got small fries... maybe you saved me calories but could've saved some money as well! Apart from my rant the customer service was good (apart from the coke)

First time eating Carl's Jr , looking forward to it and so decided to try at the palmy outlet,.................................................... disappointed , burgers were cold , never again , stay away from this place , go to maccas or KFC just down the road , palmy carls jnr you need to review your staff and cooking methods , surely there must be some quality control in place before sending out cold burgers ?

I am from Wellington and we don't have it here. So I go there whenever I visit Palmerston North. I loved their jeam beam 1/3 beef burger. Loved pickle, beet root and chillies. Chips were beautiful too. I wish we have it in Wellington. One thing missing is smile from staff :-) Recommended!

Went there for dinner tonight, place was a complete mess, floor & tables dirty. They had run out of several items we tried to order and yet one item they "apparently" had run out of was ordered after us at another counter. The girl who bought the trays to the table was in such a hurry she almost threw them on, half ass apologizing for the wait and then an item was missing from the order. Alot of money to pay for shocking service overall. Needless to say won't be going back there again in a hurry. <br/>

Clean and tide place, open till midnight. The girls working were singing while working, I didn't mind that. Same as other branches except they don't have the salad stand.

When they first came to palmerston north they were up there burgers were great especially the portobello mushroom burger but since we have returned twice for the same burger it's gone to the dogs, nowhere near how it used to be, really disappointing. But their delicious shakes with cream still worth getting....

I love Carl's jr the best burgers you'll ever taste.. Excellent service.. Great atmosphere.. Friendly staff.. The burgers are so yummy and delicious.

09-AUG-15 : As far as burger places goes, Carl's Jr is up there. Just wish they were in Australia. Enjoyed the Monster Breakfast Toasted Sandwich combo which includes coffee and Hash Rounds today. Yum!

As far as fast food goes, they are above average in food quality of this type generally.  But not for speed or service.  The drive through was pretty slow last time I went through a week ago, and the pancake I ordered looked nothing like a pancakes.  <br/>I threw it out, it wasn't nice at all.

Just finished work and was looking forward to something new, went to Carls Jr and my burger had quite a number of long strands of hair in it, disgusting! Hair nets are definitely recommended, had to throw my burger away, yuck! Never going there again.

My fiancee and I live in Wellington so drove up especially one weekend to try out the burger that was being advertised for a limited time. I can't recall it's exact title but it had bourbon sauce. So I had that and it was just divine. My fiancee had the avocado or guacamole thickburger (photos added), which was also just as good. We both had fries which didn't initially look much different from the likes of McDonald's or Burger King (and aren't usually something I favour) but these ones had a different, rather pleasant potato skin flavour. We just had standard soft drinks but from what we saw of the milkshakes, are tempted to try them next time. We did try the chilli cheese fries - they could have done with more chilli and cheese on them but they were tasty. I doubt we would get them again though. We didn't think the service was any better or worse than any other such store of its type so don't really have anything to say there. We don't really expect 5-star service in a takeaway chain anyway. But the place then was relatively new, so clean & tidy, but perhaps had some inexperienced staff. The burgers are huge and delicious, which is all that matters for us... EAT LIKE YOU MEAN IT!

Great friendly service when we went in which was great as they were busy at the time. Excellent food. The burger I had was huge and chips very tasty. Makes McDonalds and Burger King burgers look really sad.I highly recommend them and will be going back soon!

Had the bourbon burger and gotta say this is the best burger I've eaten in a while. Service was good too,just wish they had one of these in wgtn!

I've eaten 3 drive-through meals from here. The first was great, I ordered a BBQ Chicken Burger and it was fresh, well seasoned and absolutely delicious. My chips however were cold and soggy. I revisited the drive through with my girlfriend, and her BBQ Chicken burger tasted like bad chemicals with a gross waxy after taste, her chips were as bad as mine had been (I ordered the Double Western and it was amazing). I persisted in returning a third and final time to only be terribly disappointed by the quality of my Famous Star with Cheese burger, it was very bland and luke-warm. There is a serious problem with the consistency of the food at this restaurant. Which can only be put down to poor training and quality control. In terms of burger proportion, Carl's Jr are doing the great nation of NZ a service by fattening us all up.

Finally decided to try Carl's Jr, and at first, it was very enjoyable. Of course, we went up during the morning breakfast hours, and I have to say that the food was great, the staff were friendly and very efficient and it was quite enjoyable overall. Well, then we made the mistake of going through the drive through during the afternoon hour of 4PM. Only 2 cars in the parking lot, no one else in the drive through lane, yet when we went to place the order, my husband said we had 2 orders, we were then told that they can only take ONE ORDER AT A TIME!! Seriously?!?!? We were then told to pull up to the window to place the second order. I am thinking "Are you kidding me??" I mean, this girl couldn't have cared less if we were even there or not! It seemed like we were imposing on her by placing our order(s). As I said, the food is great, and you get what you pay for, but the service in the afternoon/evening sucks. You won't be seeing us at night any time soon, if at all. I personally have worked for many years in the food and beverage industry, and I have never had a worse experience. I couldn't have been any more shocked if she had told us to leave and not come back......her attitude amounted to the same thing. This was at the newly-opened Palmerston North Store on March 12th, 2013. If the store manager reads this, I will be very surprised.

Will not return here any time soon. Food was cold, took too long, they often run out of something and they'd forgotten about our ketchup. Seriously guys if you gonna market yourself as the 'top-range' fast food chain then train the staff.<br/>Useless.

I have been to Carl's Jr twice now and both times the food and service was excellent especially considering it is a fast food restaurant it out shines the competition hands down. and there is a lot more options to choose from their cheese cakes are great. The chilly fries are nice and spicy but not over the top.<br/>The waiters are always smiling and very quick when you ask for something. Considering the price you pay for your food it is excellent
