Haven’t stopped here before but was pleasantly surprised! Really basic menu but with lots of variety (pies, rolls, fry up). Coffee was good. Egg, bacon, sausage & beans was great value at $10.80 with all well cooked. This isn’t flash food, but it hits the spot & doesn’t pretend to be anything it isn’t
Tried the chicken burger from this place a while ago it was very nice and filling and the atmosphere was clean and welcoming, it was a nice meal and I'd go back again if I was ever in the area

Great place to have a filling breakfast. Easily accessible on the highway and perfect for road trip with parking and petrol pump.
We had breakfast while driving from Auckland to Rotorua. Try their breakfast menu loaded with eggs, bacon, sausages, baked beans, hash browns, grilled tomatoes; along with a cold coffee or berry smoothie.
Nice place to stop off before leaving Auckland. Food was nice, worth the price. Atmosphere was very lively with everyone stopping in and leaving again and staff were very lovely and friendly.
Great place to have a quick munch or a nice breakfast before a roadtrip. plenty of variety at this place and pricing isn't too bad either. Eggs were just the way I asked, the bacon was just right and hash browns were golden and crispy. Chocolate shakes aren't too bad either. The Autobahn Cafe doesn't use cheap ingredients which makes its so much better.
Whenever we go south, this is always our "pit stop". Just now, we had vanilla custard, small mocha, and hot chocolate. Not too bad.
There was a short queue at the counter, but it was moving fast. Since everyone is having tea/coffee, expect a wait before it arrives. If in a hurry, suggest to go to BP next door to get your coffee.
This outlet is quite bright.
Stopped here to pick up some food for the drive put of town. Had salmon pot pie (delicious), spinach & feta quiche (good), almond croissant (very good). All cabinet food was really good. Staff and service great too. Lots of seating and typical service station eatery ambience. Close to toilet.

A great place to dine. Staff super friendly and has a nice atmosphere. Only thing I have to complain about is twice I have ordered the fish and both times I have come across bones..
I have a sensitive stomach , and I usually shy away from burgers, but the other day I struck out and tried a auto special burger and I just had to write in and say that it was without doubt the best burger ever. full marks to your staff , and I didn't even get sick. you must have clean conditions and fresh produce.cheers

Delicious food. Great big play area for kids out the back. Comfy seats. Great service. Just what a roadside diner should be.
Love coming here for our Sunday breakfast.

Nice big brekky. Smoothie was delish too. Great last stop for brekky or lunch before heading over the Bombays on a long trip. Fill up both stomach and car. 💯🤙
Not really up to the standard of the pricing.
Better then gas station food or McDonalds.
Would rate 5 Star all around if prices were better or portions were larger.
A large coffee is about the same as either the McDonald's or the BP at the same location but what you receive is a medium.
Similar size difference for the food.
That said options in this location are very limited.
Cool place in a perfect spot, Food was great with a short wait. Girl at counter seemed unhappy in her job but was still a great place to eat and will be back.

A cool place to stop for coffee or meal. Called in on the way to Hamilton and had a lovely brunch. Staff were very friendly and the cafe is kept clean.
Always been happy with food here. Usually call in on the way home after picking up visitors at the airport.
Coffee pretty good. Nice friendly service. Skip mc donalds next door and come in here instead ...chips are way better.
I have been really busy this labour weekend with my 3rd trip to Auckland. Travelling back home I decided to call into Autobahn for a quick meal.
After ordering my I found a seat. The barista made my long black and as she was bringing it to me she spilt a very small amount of coffee. I told her not to worry about it, but she said, “it’s not up to my usual standards, I’ll make you another”. Wow, you don’t hear that much anymore.
The all-day breakfast was yummy and the coffee strong and hot, just how I like it. 😊😊😊
