We were traveling from Gisborne and decided to take a meal break at Great Spice Papamoa. We ordered chicken kalimirch kebabs, lolly pop and honey chilly chicken. Everything tasted really nice and fresh. The host was very welcoming and excellent at recommending options. Overall it was a quality experience and I'll surely return and strongly recommend this place if you are looking for quality Indian food in Tauranga/Papamoa
I really loved the low lighting. The lovely acoustics not echoey.
A lot of local Indian people eating there which is always a good sign. We both had kingfisher beer and Dal Makhani which was delicious. Prices are reasonable too.
Takeaway purchased tonight. Service was welcoming on arrival. Did have to wait a little longer than anticipated but was well worth the wait. Beautiful meals thank you so much. 5 star for service and food.
Very friendly staff with a lovely warm welcome. Food was beautiful and so delicious. Great flavors, tender meat. We ordered Chicken Tika Masala and Lamb Bhuna.
The food here is awesome! We tried the paneer butter masala and the dry mushroom chilli with kashmirir naans. Both were super fresh and tasty! They provide the best Indian food around the bay. We ordered online which was easy and delivery was perfect 👌
Dined on my visit to New Zealand. One of the best Indian curries! would definitely recommend anyone traveling from Japan to try this place!
We ordered and collected our meal, the staff were very friendly and helpful, we had some dietary requirements regarding our meal and they were very accommodating, the restaurant itself is very well laid out, they have a lovely seating area, service was prompt, our food was absolutely delicious, we would recommend this place for Indian cuisine and next time we may even go and sit down for our meal.
The food is divine!! one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve ever been to in all of Tauranga!! I’m yet to find any other restaurant that can match this quality of Food!!!

They call it Great spice, but for me…….I call it “Greatest spice” because the chefs provide just the right amount of heat to their dishes when you order it “Kiwi Hot.”
At other Restaurants that I’ve ordered “Kiwi Hot” in the past, I tends to always end up with me eating molten Lava and I can’t even attempt to finish my meal.
But at Great spice Papamoa they add “JUST” the right amount of heat to the dish to give it that little kick to heighten the senses but not punish the taste buds.
Just thinking about Great Spice in Papamoa makes me hungry…….
