I called in to get a takeaway coffee while on a road trip. This cafe is sited across the street from the public toilets so handy for making one stop. The food looked good but I didn't try any. The room looked great with little pockets of decor to attract the eye. Comfy arm chairs to sit on while waiting for the coffee which was brought to us quickly

We had breakfast here and it was delicious! Serving sizes are decent and staff are friendly. I had a pumpkin and spinach pie that was full of flavour, and my partner had a hot chocolate and pancake stack covered in gooey goodness. A great spot in Pātea.

We had a great time. The staff member that served us was delightful. The biggest smile you could wish for. The 30 minutes we spent there we were laughing. What more can you expect. Unfortunately it was her last day and she's off to live in Aussie

Warm and inviting cafe. Coffee good and food selection good. Had a chocolate slice - very tasty, not dry, and good portion size with a good solid chocolate icing. It was quite sweet for us, so we only needed to eat half the portion at a sitting. Being sweet for us did not detract from enjoyment. it just meant we felt like half a portion each was enough with a "save the rest for later" (and was eaten and enjoyed after dinner). Popular wirh people driving through town and worth the stop. The only downside to Cafe Fika is that there is no outdoor seating, which on a lovely day would make this an even better stop. *Park right outside on the road- usually plenty of space.

Great little cafe, worth the stop. Sausage rolls are on point, as is the mocha (they’ll even do it iced for you as a real iced mocha - not any of that half a**ed nonsense where they just put a shot of espresso over ice and top it up with watery milk - I’m talking a proper blended mocha with vanilla ice cream and then whipped cream on top. Perfect as a mid-drive pick me up). Banana and honey smoothie is also amazing. Great service from the staff as well and fun kitsch decor. Worth the visit 😊😊
