I had a wonderful experience at this Indian restaurant. The exceptional service stood out as the staff kindly accommodated us, even though they were closing. The food was equally impressive, with delicious flavors that left a lasting impression. I can't wait to return for another delightful meal.
VEGAN MENU! They have a full vegan menu, which made picking a meal so easy. My partner and I shared their Chole Bhature and their Veg Manchurian in Gravy.
Highly recommend their Chole Bhature! Really rich Chole Masala and chewy tasty Bhature breads.
The Veg Manchurian was handmade dumplings in a Indo-Chinese gravy. It’s a real Indian Street Food but is rather unusual. I wouldn’t have it again but I really enjoyed trying it!
My friends had their Paneer Jalfrezi and their Baingan Masala. I tried the Baingan Masala — sensational eggplant/aubergine curry. Highly recommend it, too!
We were intrigued by this place because of all the wonderful reviews. True enough, it does live up to all the positive comments! We were blown away by the food—garlic naan, Indian style butter chicken, chicken garlic tikka and dal makhani—and the service! Sherry was a lovely host. Everything tasted amazing. This place is now a favourite in Wellington!

Unfortunately I have quite an extreme spice intolerance but LOVE Indian food flavors, so normally I feel a little foolish ordering at Indian restaurants as I have to explain this intolerance when ordering, this was the 1st time I have explained this to the person taking my order and not felt judged, he completely understood.
I will happily recommend to anyone and eat there again.

Absolutely delicious food - The tandoori chicken and lamb biryani was the best we've ever had. Really great service as well; he was cheerful, accomodating and just a pleasure be served by. Definitely recommend!

So impressed with the service it this Indian restaurant. Sherry was a delightful host who was able to accommodate for our dietary needs (keto). I had a keto curry and cauliflower rice which was 10/10. Can't wait to go back again. A heads up to book in advance as this place is popular. They also have a heat wall with people who have completed the 7x indian hot curry.
Incredible food! I had seen Ruchi recommended so many times online, so I finally went. 100% lives up to the hype. I don't eat butter chicken ever but, decided to give the Indian style butter chicken a go. Phenomenal. The owner greeted us so warmly and treated us like long lost friends. Will definitely be going back and recommend Ruchi as a must try. Book though, as they fill up!

On this Father's Day, we decided to dine at Ruchi, and it turned out to be an extraordinary experience. What made the evening truly exceptional was the outstanding customer service provided by the owner, Sherry.
From the moment we stepped in, Sherry greeted us warmly, making us feel like treasured guests. He had an incredible way of connecting with our kids, instantly becoming their favorite. This personal touch added a heartwarming touch to our Father's Day celebration.
Throughout the evening, Sherry's attentiveness was flawless. He offered thoughtful recommendations that ensured our meal was very enjoyable.
The restaurant's ambiance was elegant and inviting and served delicious food. We felt well looked after unlike most other restaurents where the personal connection is missing.

Cute and compact restaurant with very friendly and personable service. Food was quick to come out and tasted great. Portions were as expected. The roti came out closer to a naan and not like the western recognised layered butter bread.
