It's nice place with really fair prices 😀 I had french fries and fish just for 6.99 NZD and I really enjoyed. It was delicious and a big portion. Strongly recommend.

Go Fish in Wellington is a true gem! Their fish and chips are simply outstanding. The fish is perfectly cooked, with a crispy and flavourful batter. The chips are heavenly—crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The variety of dipping sauces adds an extra layer of deliciousness. The service is friendly and attentive, and the cozy ambiance is the cherry on top. Highly recommend this exceptional dining experience!

Good fish and chips shop, arguably the best in this part of the city. Meals are not overly greasy, with generous portions. Proximity to Petone beach means you can enjoy the meal with a view. Recommended

Amazing!! Good tacker! Friendly staff and yummy fish burgers. It was the first experience for me that the actual dish is much better than photos. I took a fish burger, hushed potato and coke set (No.08). Look! So huge! Regrettably I could not eat all. So asked a staff to give me a container to bring back my burger. She gave me a container and a paper bag. Wonderful service! Many customers were waiting inside of the shop to take away. You probably have to wait in a queue. But it is a definite value to wait some min.!

One of the best FnC joints in Wellington. Great tasting food, massive burgers & portions along with very reasonable pricing. Highly recommend.

My second time here now, I got the Nasi Goring again, it's really good. I'm going to try some other meals. The staff/owners are nice and friendly. Edited Jan 2023 Came again and got the sweet and sour pork.. its the best I've ever had. Slightly crunchy on the outside and incredibly tender inside. I can't wait to get some more. I also tried the chillie chicken and vegetables and very nice. 1st March 23 I got some Nasi Goring and sweet & sour pork to take home and ate over an hour later... it wasn't as nice as it normally is. I can only assume it was because it wasn't eaten fresh... fresh is best.

If you are after cheap options and in a hurry this is the place to go. Servings are considerably generous compared other similar outlets. Pretty nice people as well.

Had te BBQ pork fried noodles man tat was te best and me love had a battered filled tat was huge chips n coleslaw..loved te service with a smile n very fast with ur meal

Had a dine in fish meal there.THREE large pieces of Terakahi, large serving of fries and a side of coleslaw all for $14.00.  Fish was beautifully prepared.Good fast service was with a smile. Happy to go there again.

I am lucky enough to work in petone that the $5 lunch special is my goto meal. The fish has been fantastic everytime I've been. It's so good I often make a trip from Mana. Burgers are just as good as expensive gourmet outlets. Chips are always generous and the staff as others have stated are very friendly. Worth the effort to visit if your hungry.

Beautiful crumbed fish and chips. Wow. Service was good and didn't have to wait long. All packed in a box over a paper bag which is handy to transport. Great having it at Petone beach.

Had the $5 lunch special today - you get 1 piece of fish, 1 crab stick,1 potato and chips (looked like half a scoop of chips) and a lemon wedge. This is a total bargain and is more than enough for 1 person. Was nice - not too salty or greasy. This is only available from 11am -2pm.

This is my usual fish and chip shop, I took one star off as there is the odd occasion when things are hit and miss but usually its pretty good. The chicken burgers are delicious and you get a crazy amount of chicken in them. The lasagne squares rock to! Reasonably priced and the chips are always good!

best fish and chip shop in all of petone and lowerhutt great food not greasy and great taste all well cooked. will never go else where. sometimez get n8ce little suprises in the meals little freebies once and a while and very friendly and welcoming staff

Amazing food, great service! If you want a great deal get the fish burger combo which comes with two HUGE burgers and chips! The fish burgers we have recommended to everyone! they honestly come with a  tonne of crumbed fish pieces, and are delicious!!! <br/>Generally just fantastic value here! 10/10!!

Great fish & chips and deep fried stuff. love the garlic chips & waffle dogs. Have yet to try their burgers but have heard good things. Fast, friendly service, generous portions and good prices. Highly recommend!

Bit of an upmarket fish n chip shop which is always nice and clean. We grabbed some dinner from there the other night after a long day but the chips were WAY too salty for our liking.

Awesome fish & chips and burgers! Modest prices and quality food. Battered fish is done well, not soggy at all, and the chips are crispy hot. Garlic beef burger is a steal at $6.50 and better than anything I've ever bought from a takeaway in Auckland. The aioli they use is to die for and they use a generous amount of it. Was pleased to find fancy lettuce and cheese also in the burger. My colleague got the 2 x fish burgers and chips meal. He loved the crumbed fish patty and was stuffed after eating both burgers. Go Fish sets the standard of fish and chips without the snobby "gourmet" label or prices.

Just moved onto Fitzherbert St. a few weeks ago and having "Go Fish" literally around the corner is dangerous! Their burgers are AMAZING!! Sometimes you just feel like a dirty, big fish shop burger and these are as good as it gets! The Chicken Tower burger is so good I got two in one day lol<br/><br/>Great service, highly recommended!!

Burgers normally pretty good but had fish and chips recently and was disappointed by the greasy fish no flavor and not many chips.

The best fish n chips in the Hutt! Burgers are great too. Staff are always polite and go the extra mile i.e open the door for you.

Went here last evening. Had been previously and enjoyed freshness of fish and crispy chips.<br/>Ordered fillet and chunky chips to eat in.<br/>When dinner came fish was 3 pieces - not fillet - and chips were not chunky. Chips were cut to different sizes and looked and tasted old. Fish tasted old and came from different fillets as the texture and taste were different. <br/>Checked with staff. <br/><br/>No they did not supply fillet! but did not tell me.<br/><br/>Fish had been pre cooked. Tasted like it was about 3 days old.<br/>Asked why they did not advise they were not serving fillet?<br/>Unable to provide answer except to say they had run out and that they often supply fillets of fish this way.<br/>Staff argued with me and would not listen to my complaint. <br/><br/>Meal inedible - not good.

Without doubt the best fish and chip place in the region. I am addicted to the fish burgers which are amazing, so amazing I can't bring myself to order anything else. Chips are beaut too. When our rellies were over from Oz we all ate there as they love Terakihi and loved it too. Go there often. Keep up the good work Go Fish as its worth the extra distance we travel to go there.

I enjoyed my fish, chips, eggs and Greek salad here. They all were tasty and affordable. Service was good and fast.

This is the only fish and chip shop that my husband will eat at. Cooked in vege oil and beautifully fresh. Fish is so fresh and huge! I love the gourmet burgers, with chicken, brie and cranberry my favourite. Great selection of yummy food. Chip portions aren't huge so you may need to order a little more than usual.<br/>Really friendly service and quick preparation. It's the one we drive the extra distance to go to... and drive past several others closer to our home just for Go Fish. Yummy.

I remember when they first opened their doors we went there and brought a feed of fish and chips to try it. The fish was humongous and tasted quite nice - 1 fish feed 2 people, and the chips were crispy and not greasy. It was very nice..

Went to Go fish with my sister, had never been there before. I'm very picky as I work in hospotality but the service is great!!! Very friendly staff who are more than willing to do whatever you ask and who really care about their customers. Great food as well,very good chips not greasy like other stores and Beautiful fish!

Very clean, always a friendly smile, and the burgers are well above average for a fast food takeaway.  They also do standard fish and chips with a choice of half a dozen salt flavours. I keep going back.
