Had a dine in fish meal there.THREE large pieces of Terakahi, large serving of fries and a side of coleslaw all for $14.00. Fish was beautifully prepared.Good fast service was with a smile. Happy to go there again.

I am lucky enough to work in petone that the $5 lunch special is my goto meal. The fish has been fantastic everytime I've been. It's so good I often make a trip from Mana. Burgers are just as good as expensive gourmet outlets. Chips are always generous and the staff as others have stated are very friendly. Worth the effort to visit if your hungry.

Beautiful crumbed fish and chips. Wow. Service was good and didn't have to wait long. All packed in a box over a paper bag which is handy to transport. Great having it at Petone beach.

Had the $5 lunch special today - you get 1 piece of fish, 1 crab stick,1 potato and chips (looked like half a scoop of chips) and a lemon wedge. This is a total bargain and is more than enough for 1 person. Was nice - not too salty or greasy. This is only available from 11am -2pm.

This is my usual fish and chip shop, I took one star off as there is the odd occasion when things are hit and miss but usually its pretty good. The chicken burgers are delicious and you get a crazy amount of chicken in them. The lasagne squares rock to! Reasonably priced and the chips are always good!

Amazing food, great service! If you want a great deal get the fish burger combo which comes with two HUGE burgers and chips! The fish burgers we have recommended to everyone! they honestly come with a tonne of crumbed fish pieces, and are delicious!!!
Generally just fantastic value here! 10/10!!

Great fish & chips and deep fried stuff. love the garlic chips & waffle dogs. Have yet to try their burgers but have heard good things. Fast, friendly service, generous portions and good prices. Highly recommend!

Awesome fish & chips and burgers! Modest prices and quality food. Battered fish is done well, not soggy at all, and the chips are crispy hot. Garlic beef burger is a steal at $6.50 and better than anything I've ever bought from a takeaway in Auckland. The aioli they use is to die for and they use a generous amount of it. Was pleased to find fancy lettuce and cheese also in the burger. My colleague got the 2 x fish burgers and chips meal. He loved the crumbed fish patty and was stuffed after eating both burgers. Go Fish sets the standard of fish and chips without the snobby "gourmet" label or prices.

It's nice place with really fair prices 😀 I had french fries and fish just for 6.99 NZD and I really enjoyed. It was delicious and a big portion. Strongly recommend.

Go Fish in Wellington is a true gem! Their fish and chips are simply outstanding. The fish is perfectly cooked, with a crispy and flavourful batter. The chips are heavenly—crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The variety of dipping sauces adds an extra layer of deliciousness. The service is friendly and attentive, and the cozy ambiance is the cherry on top. Highly recommend this exceptional dining experience!

Good fish and chips shop, arguably the best in this part of the city. Meals are not overly greasy, with generous portions. Proximity to Petone beach means you can enjoy the meal with a view. Recommended

Amazing!! Good tacker! Friendly staff and yummy fish burgers. It was the first experience for me that the actual dish is much better than photos. I took a fish burger, hushed potato and coke set (No.08). Look! So huge! Regrettably I could not eat all. So asked a staff to give me a container to bring back my burger. She gave me a container and a paper bag. Wonderful service! Many customers were waiting inside of the shop to take away. You probably have to wait in a queue. But it is a definite value to wait some min.!

My second time here now, I got the Nasi Goring again, it's really good. I'm going to try some other meals. The staff/owners are nice and friendly. Edited Jan 2023 Came again and got the sweet and sour pork.. its the best I've ever had. Slightly crunchy on the outside and incredibly tender inside. I can't wait to get some more. I also tried the chillie chicken and vegetables and very nice. 1st March 23 I got some Nasi Goring and sweet & sour pork to take home and ate over an hour later... it wasn't as nice as it normally is. I can only assume it was because it wasn't eaten fresh... fresh is best.
