AMAZING FOOD! THE YOUNG MEN WHO SERVED US WAS VERY POLITE. WAS A LITTLE WAIT ON FOOD BUT OVERALL I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE .

Absolutely beautiful food and great service. BEST chips I have ever had and would go back for those! Just quite pricey for the size is all!

Random popin for dinner and managed to get a table for 2. Seated with menus and orders taken in a good amount of time. Bar filled up quickly for an event night, and food was still bought out in good time. The food!!!!! Fresh, soft, tasty salt and pepper squid that had us nodding st each other in agreement of just how good they were!!! Seafood linguine was amazing!!! Fresh, beautifully cooked seafood and nicely creamy pasta. Was a wee bit hard to pay for our meals due to the crowd ordering drinks, maybe a designated food order/ payment zone would help. Absolutely love this gastropub and will definately be back!!!

Pleasantly surprised on an impromptu drop in for dinner. Good service and great food. First time having Nachos with actual beef. Great choice. Definitely worth a try.

Excellent customer service. Excellent food. We ordered the market fish and chips. It was very good, chips were crispy as it should be, chicken was finger lickin good. We asked for extra sauce and got a good top up. We will be back The Longkeeper...you are worth our trip! Keep it up! 😀

Waitresses were so lovely and food was yummy. Didn't give 5 stars because part of the establishment we couldn't access due to no wheelchair access.

I would give 6 if I could, but the maximum is 5 stars:) Loaded nachos, tuna salad on chef special, kids meal - delicious. Kids corner was so helpful! And thanks for extremely good service.

We are a social service agency in the community and Longkeeper really supported us we we came in to celebrate our 15 years we really recommend them their food and wonderful service they where all wonderful

I attended a "Stand-up Comedy" night. Great atmosphere, wonderful food, and wonderful servers on the job. For the Comedy night... the sound system SUCKED!!!... Understanding this was the second time holding... barely anyone attended. YET over 10+ comedians turned up. The first night the week before was packed. Lack of numbers this week reflected that power sound system failing... hoping addressed next time.

For the first time in a long time I went out for dinner and enjoyed all 3 of the courses! And thats a big deal because I am sooo fussy. Thank you to The Longkeeper in Pukekohe! To start I had the pulled pork soft shell taco OH MY GOD YUUUM! This was followed by the eye fillet which was cooked to perfection! And finished off with the lemon tart that came with a delicious manuka ice cream D E L I C I O U S! The staff were really friendly and attentive. They all smiled and engaged in conversation but wernt pesky or overbearing. One of the waitresses recommended the crispy potato skins which were also to die for. The interior looks amaaazing, like you just stepped into the city and was so fresh and clean. I loved the family style dining tables with bench seats down the middle of the dining area. Everything was reasonably priced and they had a fantastic beer and wine selection. This was comfort food at its best! I could not fault it which is something worth telling! Thanks again to The Longkeeper. And if you havnt been already get your butts down there and check it out!

Just had the pulled pork burger... Really dry and luckily very small. It was served on a silly plastic plate which slid around the table and came with fried potato and a tiny coleslaw You would get a bigger meal if you ordered a kids meal at Mcds. It was edible but certainly not nice! �

Went here a few weeks ago and we ordered drinks and the waitress gave us menus and after deciding what we wanted we made our way to the counter to order - only to be told that 90% of the menu isn’t available because the menu was changing that next day. Why wouldn’t you tell us before we ordered drinks and sat down with our menus?? We then left. Decided to try it out again on Friday night to see what the new menu was like. They’ve definitely cut a lot off and the choices are very limited now. The steak for my partner was tiny and they forgot the eggs, when asked the waitress she had to check the menu and even then they didn’t come out until over 10 mins later - by which point the steak was cold! My chicken breast was very small for the price and the pumpkin mash was horrible. Can’t say we will be returning based on the past two experiences!

Wonderful staff & food was lovely and quick , enjoyed our meal with our wee 17 month old. The waiter we had was very doting and great at his job. Highly recommend this place

Just ate here, meal was far better than hubby expected as he had never eaten here before. All 3 of us had something different & all 3 of us left nothing on the plate! Good service & good food!

Used to go here all the time with and without our children. Went last month with friends and now very put off. The menu has changed and now nearly 100% meat oriented. The portion sizes have reduced greatly but price have not. I see they are heavily promoting sports events/music which is great but it seems to be at the detriment of the previously chilled and welcoming atmosphere. Not keen to go back which is a shame as this was our 'go to' place.

Went for dinner this past Thursday and while the food was tasty the menu was so limited that it was very disappointing. Just not enough choices. Won't be back unless the menu has more options added like salads or pasta options.

Very very average experience here. They had advertised on their website that kids eat free on Saturdays. So decided to go here on Saturday with our kids. Only to be told at the counter that kids eat free on Wednesdays. So thats false advertising. I had to pay for their meals. Pork belly came with a pumpkin puree which tasted like vomit. So disappointed and will never ever return to this place.

Went for dinner to celebrate a birthday. Menu didn't have alot to choose from. People from our group were disapointed with there meal for the price they were paying. Pork belly was a small cube of mainly fat and steak was small, came out without mushrooms, on return only had with 4 slices. Took a while to serve our meals, but quuck to clear plates without question of whether meals were finished or not. Birthday cake was stored in a box to keep chilled until required and was thrown out, nit even thinking it would be needed again to take left over cake home. Wont be returning for a meal again, but a drink maybe. The only positive was our hostess who was great and very apologetic & live band wasn't too bad either.

We love The Longkeeper! The best food, service and friendly staff. We struggle if we go anywhere else because we love it so much. While all the staff are great, Hamind is particularly excellent with his service and always has time for a chat. Thanks guys!

Went to the Longkeeper for their "All You Can Eat Ribs" and yes I do use the inverted commas for a reason: the ribs were great, the sauce was excellent...and if I was to rate my experience on that alone it would get 4.5 stars...but what let it down was the small print: while we understood that a clean plate would bring the next round, what we were not told until we were dining was that we had to finish the sides as well which was a pineapple laden coleslaw...I'm okay with coleslaw, I hate pineapple and if someone told me before hand that I needed to finish that off I would have had second thoughts...I came for ribs - not coleslaw. 2 stars is being generous.

We came for the platter, turned out to be great value. The only thing better was the helpfulness of the waitstaff and the kitchen going above and beyond to separate the foods for special needs. We’ll be back!<br/>

Food and service were incredible. <br/><br/>Very child friendly. <br/>Restaurant stays open between 15:00 and 17:00. <br/>Good value for money. <br/>Awesome staff. <br/><br/>After 3 years in Pukekohe, this is the best restaurant experience by a long, long way. Not sure what happened here .. last time we came we saw some burgers served to other people that looked magnificent but the ones we got last night were terrible and looked nothing like the ones seen previously . Filling would have been half of what it used to be with massively oversized buns? excellent service from staff but very disappointed about the meal. Probably won’t be back.

Our family loved the wee kids' activity area. The Family Computer and Nintendo playstation were nostalgic. The waiter was friendly and attentive.

Came here on a Sunday lunch with family. The making of coffee was extremely slow. The service was ok otherwise and the ambience was nice. Three of us ordered the satay chicken paratha. Definitely wasn't what I imagined, very very average. The paratha itself was delicious and that was about it. The chicken seems like it's something frozen from countdown and the sauce seemed to be straight out of a bottle and there wasn't enough of it. Their was no chilli or coriander in it as stated on the menu. The lettuce was mostly all I could taste. This was only 15 dollars but I would rather have something quality then crappy and pay more for it coming to a place like this, otherwise no could just go to McDonald's. Everyone else seemed happy with their meals except the people that ordered what I did.

Bloody awesome food and the best service iv had in a long time. Havent been to a restaurant in Auckland like this in ages. Glad for this to be in my backyard of South Auckland. Puke Proud!

I really enjoyed the feta and Mushroom stuffed chicken breast... It was amazingly presented and the pumpkin puree was FANTASTIC...i wish there was more to it though for the price... I did enjoy it all thoroughly

I used to like it here but when I went to visit again, their steak was drier and it was chewy for a medium rare. The rest of the meal was fine but the food before was way better. The servers were friendly and attentive. Although I don't think I will be back here in a hurry.

Had early dinner at The Longkeeper. Atmosphere was quite nice as the bar not too loud. We ordered pork belly main, pulled pork nachos, and PLK pizza. Food was ok. Pork belly a bit of a let down as we expecting a crispy skin but the dish unfortunately not designed to have a crispy skin. Pulled pork nachos probably best out of three we ordered. <br/><br/>We originally planned to order the buns but told we cant order the buns as they are finish. My heart sink when we finish our meal saw the table next to us served buns. I came into conclusion that we cant order the bun as it was still too early (only my assumption). Would be better if we get told the truth rather than thinking buns are finish and found out an hour later tables around us are having their buns.

Really enjoyed this bar/restaurant. Came on a quiet week night. The food was really tasty and really good value! The steak and chips for $18 was well cooked and the cheapest Ive ever seen. The Havana burger with pulled pork was full of flavour and the crisscut fries were a good miniside. The chicken wings had a good kick and flavour but needed more sauce and a blue cheese sauce would have made it perfect. Wanted to try the waffle and chicken but there was none left. Got the pork belly steam buns which were amazing with melt in your mouth pork. Would definitely return when in Pukekohe again!

Came out for dinner here with friends, we were in a large group so we're able to try out many different items on the menu. The service was GREAT. However the food was really horrible, the burgers were not even on proper cutlery. We had the waffles and fried chicken, waffles tasted very old and crumbly. Fried chicken was sooo dry. We then had dessert and I had the key lime pie and donuts, donuts were soo burn't it was obvious and amongst our group we were just taken abit aback. The key lime pie tasted like straight up condensed milk with not a single hint of lime. The only thing that tasted close to good were the hashtag fries. Really dissappointing.

Awesome service, delicious food. We had the pulled pork nachos, pork belly bao and the Havana burger. Everything was on point, the steamed buns were my fav. A must have. Will def be going here again

Had a lovely lunch here with my mum on Saturday. Food was quick and tasty and the service was friendly and helpful :) I like the little outdoor seating area

The only thing good about our experience here tonight was the service from the bartender when we arrived. We ordered mac and cheese balls and the chicken burger. The Mac and Cheese balls arrived sitting in a weird lukewarm mushroom sauce, with no sign of the advertised jalapeños or streaky bacon. The burger was one of the worst I've ever had. The advertised guacamole and cheese was the barely there, the chicken was a thin slither and the bun was awful and stale. <br/>We asked for cutlery and side plates when our food arrived and they never arrived. <br/>Disappointing!!!

Everytime I have been here the food has been awesome and the staff have been really friendly.<br/>Pizza is really good we have also tried the ribs, chicken wings, tacos and duck fat potato skins.<br/>Good, solid choice for dinner out.

Carrot and zucchini ribbon had a light dressing. Steak was cooking medium rare and was very nice and juicy. The mushrooms had a nice asian favour to it and has a subtle kick of spice which is really nice, the seasame, peanut and fried shallots gives the salad a nice texture and extended favours.<br/><br/>Duck fat potato skins - nice and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Didn't taste any duck fat as I was expecting some gamey taste to it. <br/><br/>Steamed buns (Bao) Hoisin Pork - Now this is nice! Fatty pork belly nice and tender season with the perfect amount of hoisin sauce, Coriander is a must and give the bao a fresh taste and pickled ginger to cut the fat. Bao itself was nice and fluffy. It was perfect!

Came here with a group. This was my first time experiencing it after hearing so many great reviews. Ordered the single stack burger. Pattie was abit undercooked, so I sent it back, they ended up giving me another one. By this time, 10 minutes have past and everyone else at the table had finished their meals. Pattie AGAIN was undercooked bug I was hungry so I ate it. Ordered a dessert for my wife and I (free dessert for the burger incident) and they gave me the wrong dessert but let me keep it while they got me the right one. <br/><br/>I understand that it was a tad busy. The food was tasty. And would like to try "The Longkeeper" again<br/><br/>

This was my first visit since the rebranding and refurbishment. I must I was quite pleased with the decor, was much more welcoming than the last business.<br/><br/>We were glad that we had booked ahead as it was quite busy, being an warm autumn evening it was nice and refreshing to have the windows wide open and a cool breeze blowing while we dined.<br/><br/>I had the Lemon Chicken washed down by a Black Dog Golden Lab beer, my wife had the Steak Sandwich. Both meals were very nice and just about the right size for a light meal. We did struggle to make our choices of food as there were so many good options worth trying.<br/><br/>The staff were nice and friendly, the food was reasonably priced as well. It makes a good place to come with family and friends including children.<br/><br/>We'll be back to try another yummy looking option.
