Really cute little cafe that we were not expecting at the end of our walk ! Had a quick bite to eat of carrot cake and caramel slice (carrot cake was heaps better than the caramel slice which had no flavour...)
Lady was a bit disinterested at first but was actually quite friendly

One of the few places in the area to catch a bite and/or beverage. Tiny cafe with interesting and creative outdoor seating. Local critters from the farm may come visit while you are sitting. Good food and drinks. Service was good. Nearby parking to park entrance.

What an Absolutely Amazing place, not being biased but upon entering the car park the music got me, could if stayed all day. The staff member was lovely and the coffee is worth going that far for. O and the Peacock & Peahens were great for the kids.

Please ignore the weird bad reviews - the French girl who served us was perfectly nice with a very chill vibe. The coffee was awesome, music was good, and the place has a great quirky feel to it. I had a slice of quiche that was tasty, and this beautiful peacock came to try and get some. This place deserves more than the current star rating - go hang out and enjoy a good coffee before or after visiting Wharakiki Beach.

What a quaint little café - a delight to find so far off the beaten track. Make a very welcome stop after a good walk to the beach, and before biking back to Puponga.
Good coffee, regular food. Really enjoyed chatting with the friendly owner .. you just need to engage her in conversation.

As coffee addicts staying in Pakawau and intent on exploring the northern most corner of the South Island we visited the Archway cafe on each of the three days we were in this region. It's a splendidly quirky place, with interesting furniture and peacocks to entertain. It's very remote so we didn't expect a wide menu offering - what is on offer is our kind of food - delicious muffins.
The service too is quirky - as befits the remoteness of this cafe. It's a place to chill - and we were more concerned with the quality of the coffee than light banter with the barista.
If you relax into the laid back feel of this place and enjoy the quirkiness rather than expecting city slick service, you can have an outstanding cafe experience. I'm just really grateful to find a great coffee place in this superb setting.

I always enjoy the vibe here whenever I come to Wharariki beach. Good coffees and snacks. Excellent playlist. The girl working there is nice and very helpful!

Really cool quirky place. No idea why there are so many nasty comments about the service - did you expect a red carpet?

Very cool place. Outdoor garden, funky music, hamocks, peacocks! Coffee excellent but a bit expensive.
