Queenstown wouldn't have been complete without daily visits to Patagonia Chocolates - Ice Creamery & Chocolaterie. Their white chocolate hazelnut ice cream was a true standout, a heavenly blend that kept me coming back. The hot chocolate was another gem, rich and satisfying. The combination of flavors was simply delightful. The staff consistently offered good service, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. The comfortable seating allowed me to savor each moment spent indulging in these exquisite treats. 📍Location - Very busy ice-cream shop located centrally just opposite to the jet boat pier. There are always a lot of customers in the shop queueing up not matter it is afternoon or late at night.
🍦Food - Wide variety of dessert options, including ice-cream, ice-cream stick, hot drinks and cakes.
Ice-cream comes with a myriad of flavours, a lot of the flavours had won an award.
👅Taste - Ordered Chocolate and macadamia in a cone. The taste to be very honest is quite average, nothing too special, although the texture is smooth with some macadamia flakes mixed in. My partner ordered hazelnut flavour and lemon sorbet - Hazelnut ice cream taste good but it is a bit too sweet. Lemon sorbet is way too sour for us.
🪑Seating/Ambience - plenty of seating available, both ground floor and second floor. The ground floor can be quite crowded as the queue is always long and full of people.
Second floor provides much more comfortable seating with a peace, calming lake view while enjoying the ice-cream. Toilet is available on second floor and there is a open kitchen to view how the ice cream are made.
💰Price/Value of money - Standard pricing as most of the ice-cream shop. $9 for one scoop of ice-cream in a cone. The size of one scoop is huge.

The star of the show, however, is the ice cream. They craft some of the most amazing ice creams I've ever tasted (as delicious as the ones I tried in Italy).
The friendly staff add to the overall positive experience, always ready with a smile and helpful recommendations. Despite its popularity, the service remains efficient. Given its reputation, it is a bustling hub, drawing in visitors for a well-deserved treat. Despite the crowds, the prices remain surprisingly affordable, making it accessible for both locals and tourists alike (This is actually a good thing considering that everywhere/everything in Queenstown is expensive)
For an added treat, make your way to the second floor. Here, you'll be treated to a beautiful view that elevates the entire experience. It's a perfect spot to savor your treats while taking in the scenic surroundings.

Had dark chocolate + hokey pokey = Great combination! Not forgetting, they gave big scoops. Well worth for the price!
Queue might be long since it's a tourist attraction, but it didn't take long for me to get my order.

Amazing ice cream experience 💖 so many selection you can have. I had Hazelnut ice cream. The quality of ice cream above the standard 😊 must try! We also had coffee, and the coffee tasted alright, not too strong, and the temperature of the milk did not burn, overall with the great view it made all complete.
A really popular dessert shop in Queenstown , it’s always full of people and a queue is expected.
The upper level has some seatings and nice spots for views.
Ice cream itself was about average, I didn’t find too much difference from ordinary ice cream places.
Clean and bright ice cream and chocolate store which has a good seating area.
Upstairs you can get seats with a great view of the lake and pier, there are also ice cream makers at work at the back open glass kitchen where you can watch.

The wifi codes that were provided on the tickets did not work, but get off the phone and enjoy the views while you're there
It gets so busy here and once you try their ice cream, you know why. Such a generous portion and delicious flavours. Loved the hazelnut cremino icecream!
Amazing ice cream experience 💖 so many selection you can have. I had mascarpone cheese and forest it was so yum. Chocolate topping is additional but it was good decision to have. Three selection of chocolate was available. The quality of ice cream and chocolate both above the standard 😊must try!
