Speights Ale House Queenstown - Queenstown - Photo album

Iconic place to eat in QT, Speights Ale House. We ate from the $15 menu and what awesome value for money! Food was great, quality and quantity. Staff friendly. If your after a good cheap feed. Visit here. Located in the heart of the town center
Great beers on tap and delicious fish and chips. Good selection of dishes on the menu. Staff are nice and friendly. Plenty of seating inside and outside. Good vibe and music. Kid-friendly too. I enjoyed reading little bits of history (and photos) about Speight Brewery and it adds character to the pl

Really awesome food and great service. The $15 lunch menu is excellent value, very tasty Chicken and the Pie was great too.
I thought this place was supposed to be far more... idk what, but _something_. Overall it is pretty much just a pub restaurant, but the only key thing I can think to say is that what they are apparently noted for is their meal portion sizes, great for a post-ski meal. Got venison on the menu, a few
We had great lunch there as the atmosphere in there is very cozy and food is awesome too. They do offer lunch menu and it might be the chespest in Queenstown. It costs only $15. Steak with chips, ribs with chips and chicken schnitzel with coleslaw and chips are my recommendations. In case you a
Cool place for a cold beer. Parking close by. Food was pretty good too. Best platter In town. It was huge for one person. Great prices. Loved the speights low carb beer.....
The service was amazing from start to finish and the food from the $15 lunch menu was great, great flavours, generous serving size and served with good beer. Also did I mention how great the service was.
Very nice local brewery. Food is awesome. Great atmosphere. Warm open fireplace. Great tasting beer on tap. Friendly staff.
A fantastic venue. Tables were clean, food was great and the staff accommodating. I had the venison for dinner and it fantastic. Finished with a sticky date pudding. Asked the staff to put the Warriors on and they did. Awesome establishment.
Moist flaky blue cod enrobed in a crispy beer batter served with homemade tartar sauce. Outstanding! Friendly efficient service. Authentic atmosphere celebrating the Speights heritage.
Very good Taste nice quality of food Just 15$ in Queenstown, people are also nice
Great service and great food. The lamb shank was amazing --------- Update from my review a year ago. The positive review def apply to Queenstown only. The branch in Auckland was mediocre. Unfortunately this restaurant was closed due to a fire. Wish them all the best and up and running again soon
The best Sunday roast in Queenstown for sure!! We come in quite often and it’s always amazing. Staff are lovely too
Our last night in Queenstown we came here, as they were closed on the Monday even though Google said they were open. Absolutely delicious food, very generous portions, friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend and come back next time I'm in the area! I had the lamb and it was 10/10.
19 March 2023 kitchen fire will have this place out of service for a while. Downtown Queenstown was shut down by fire responders, and they say it was quite a large fire.
Really warm and busy atmosphere, great service nice food.
The vegan curry was absolutely delicious!! The portion was big & the staff were also nice~
