Nice pub, cheap beer, good food, good vibe. Friendly servers were helpful. Cheap beer, $12 pitcher, tasted great. Food portions generous and delicious. Comfy relaxed atmosphere. Fish and chips, chicken and veggie burger, rotisserie chicken.

Popped in here for lunch after strolling around town a bit. They have $5 pizzas and $10 lunch options from 12-2 everyday. I had the steak pita with fries. The steak was cooked medium rare and the coleslaw had a good crunch. My friends really enjoyed their fish & chips, pizza, and chicken sandwich as well. This bar also have a great happy hour at 9 p.m. with $5 beers and house liquors.

Interesting place. Food was excellent. Staff attentive and on to it. Specials most days. We had the mixed grill and it was superb. We hit $5 pizza saturday and it was packed. The pizzas looked brilliant as well.

We had the Calamari and the Jalapeno popers as entree and they were both tasty as and decent portions. The mixed grill was nice too. Our waitress tonight was great

Nice place with cheap beer, cheap pizza and friendly staff. Place gets packed out in the evenings for these reasons but still has a decent atmosphere. Always seems to be a weird vibe around the pool table though with, what looks like the same wannabe tough-guys around it every night. I wouldn't mind, but they look like they would get blown over in a strong breeze, never mind anything else haha. Still rate the place though, have been here a bunch while in QT.

Great place with reasonable price in a very Upmarket location, @ time of this feedback (29 Dec 2020) the prices for a jug of beer starts at $13 NZD burgers from $10 NZD and pizzas from $5 NZD.

Loved the vibe. Great music. Friendly bartenders. 5 dollar pizzas & drinks specials were awesome. Impromptu pool competition and free round of drinks was fantastic. Will definitely make it a must do next trip there. 🎉🥃🥂🍕🍹

Good lunch options, price is reasonable. Tasty pizza either during lunch or dinner for special price. Can be crowded when Covid is not here and packed with all sort of people. Jugs or pint of beer is nice, shots of something stronger are available too. Some days pool game competition for voucher to spend on the bar by winner and friends. Big space, section with table to sit, dancing area.

You really can't get a better lunch deal anywhere. For $5 NZD, their pizza is good sized and not too bad for the price. I loved the calamari salad and steak sandwich from the lunch $10 special menu. The bar was surprisingly not too busy, so we were taken care of quickly and kindly!

Just want to give a big shout out to Danielle, she was a pleasure to have as our waitress and would come back again just for her. Food was also bloody awesome and the drinks were super cheap. Genuinely awesome experience that I would recommend to heaps others :)

Great decor, slightly low lighting. I ordered a salad which was delicious but could have been bigger, was more of a lunch main than a dinner main size. The pizzas seemed incredibly popular, everyone else in the restaurant was having one! All in all I probably would go back.

Really relaxed atmosphere, lovely staff. Great red wine! Gibston Pinot def' worth it! Southern fried chicken was amazing. Cheers team!

I was so happy with this venue that i have had to write my first ever google review! I reserved the dining area for about 40 people for my brother's wedding after party (no deposit or spending minimum required for the reservation!). We were greeted at the door with a warm welcome and the manager let all 40 of our guests in straight away, this was at 12am on a crowded Saturday night. The manager opened a section of the bar up for us near the dining room with our own personal bar attender. We all had the best time and all really enjoyed the music with an age group ranging from 18 - 78! Searle Lane really finished off a memorable night so well. Our wedding venue did not allow much time for dancing so we were so happy to kick on at Searle Lane in such a comfortable and fun atmosphere that everyone enjoyed. Thanks so much!!

Was a little preturbed with the price being so low, but I was blown away. We had a medium party, inc kids and we had a good selection. Everyone loved their food and service was bob on. Crackin place, loved it.

As a Searle I just had to check this place out. I'm don't drink so I didn't go during the evening and just has a quick lunch; the pizza was pretty darn cheap. The customer service I received was wonderful. Would go back and check out other stuff.

Among a few steak and burger high flyers Searle deserves more recognition than it gets. No one comes here for fish or veggie wraps. The burgers were great, the service friendly and efficient. Would be nice to have some more sauce options but since I couldn’t fault the taste perhaps it’s best the way it is.

I order fish and chips, no flavour at all, a lot of oil on the plate. but the staff queit friendly. I don’t know it always taste like this or it’s not my lucky day

The decor of the restaurant is warm and inviting, and the food we ordered was very nice. However, I will not come back again, because while the waitress was lovely and did her part well, the food took too long to arrive. We ordered only two main plates, and it took approximately 45 minutes. We were not informed of why it was taking so long or how much longer it would be. When the food finally did arrive, the waitress apologized for the long wait, but gave no explanation of why it happened. It's a shame because we truly did enjoy the food (the burger in particular was GREAT!), but with a wait time that long, we doubt we will return.

Nice rooftop area. The lady serving us was lovely! Very decent pricing. But as good as my ordered vege wrap sounded and looked, it unfortunately didn't follow through with taste. It was so heavily saturated in oil I couldn't finish it even after trying to soak the oil out of it. My partner ordered steak and he found it below average too.

Was looking for a fun place for dinner and as we came out of the nearby carpark we saw the heavy steel doors to this restaurant and the inviting menu so headed in... This place ticks so many boxes it isn't funny, great character interior, dark lighting, good music, restaurant and bar areas, pool area, happy hour specials and really popular with a wide age range. My fish was perfect and the apple crumble dessert very impressive! Good place to party...

I was in Queenstown over the New Years period and visited Searle Lane multiple times, as it was such a good time the first time. Definitely recommend!

Good on a Friday night, nice crowd, nice music, cheap shots and booze, big space !!! Nice place to party in town and have a few finger food !!!

The entrance consists of the bar and invites you in with its large open floor plan. The design is quirky, youthful with a chilled-out vibe and mainstream top 40 music blasting away. The restaurant is towards the back and we get seated in the corner (not in the booths unfortunately) but notice vines/shrubs and lamps decorating the ceiling – interesting decor!

I visit here quite often and sometimes the food is excellent and other times it's just okay. Service can be a bit hit or miss but for $10 their lunch menu is excellent value.

We popped in here on a cold, wet and dreary last Friday night. What took our fancy on passing by was the rotisserie chicken and menu. We decided to keep looking at other menus but ended up doing a full circle and coming back.<br/>When we walked in there was no one to greet us and we had to walk right up to the kitchen to grab the attention of someone. The place was empty, no other patrons (in our area) but it was cosy, warm and the music not so loud you couldn't hear.<br/>We had a quick look at the menu and having already decided on what we wanted ordered. We went for a whole rotisserie, sauteed potato and winter vegetables plus two glasses of red.<br/>We were not disappointed with our choice. Delivered to us on a wooden platter that seemed custom made for the chook and sides it sat between us and we shared our meal. It was a really nice concept and a really enjoyable eat. Nothing to complain about here.<br/>We ordered the "Super Sundae" to share thinking there will be plenty for each of us. I did comment that I was not sure what was "super" about it, a couple of scoops of ice-cream and syrup. No nuts, wafers, jelly's so nothing terribly much to right home about there.<br/>The staff were friendly - although referred to us as "you guys" waayyyy too much. <br/>We really enjoyed this venue for it's great concept of shared dining and welcoming warmth.

Awesome $10 lunches, every thing sounded so good i ordered 3 meals! They even looked great and tasted even better. Best value for money. You gotta try this place!

Great value lunches - lots of dishes for $10 and reasonably priced wines by the glass. Caesar and Tuna salads are great, the risotto and burger looked like excellent value too, they were huge. Friendly staff, hard to find though, tucked away on a service lane behind The Mall.
