I got the Nasi goreng. It was so tasty ! The veggie sandwich was really good too. I really like this place and recommend it. Good food and lovely place.
Delicious food and a great coffee to match what more could you ask for ! The staff were really lovely and friendly and the atmosphere was super chilled out and nice. I would definitely recommend if you are in Raglan to give this place a visit. The menu has great options so will be back next time we visit Raglan for more yummy food. Pictured is the fritters dish which came with an egg and avo smash super yummy !
We enjoyed our brunch so much we went back the next day and did it all over again and weren't disappointed :-). The eggs benne is superb but what really impressed us was the well oiled machine in the kitchen producing fab looking food that kept up with a very busy patronage (most other cafes in Raglan were empty) along with great waitresses who were totally focused on the job and really friendly. Loved the quirky but understated and clean decor. The Shack would totally give the Ponsonby strip a run for its money, thats for sure. :-)

Definately try their Eggs Benne with Salmon, or even their Beef burger! Anything will be a treat.
From the first smile of the staff when we entered the Shack we knew we were in for a treat. The avocado toast came with a half of avocado with walnut crumbs and a GF toast with seeds that tasted like a real sourdough had goat cheese, basil oil, candied onion, perfectly ripe heirloom tomatoes basil. The zucchini fritter had chickpea flour with Indian spices, two perfectly poached eggs and chilly jam. Both were mouthwatering!
This is a must when visiting Raglan!

Great atmosphere, delicious food and friendly staff.
Got the scrambled eggs + potatoes and chilli crunch rice + chicken. Both very flavoursome and potatoes were perfectly crispy.
Thought the rice dish was perhaps a little on the small side but made up for it in taste :)
A really nice restaurant in Ragalen. Delicious food, friendly staff, and comfortable environment. I recommend the chilli crunch rich! It smells so good and taste as well. The chicken burger is also amazing š
Lovely food and friendly service. The Shack is in a convenient location and despite always being busy, the wait on food is not bad. I enjoyed our food and drinks. They cater for diatery restrictions as well. I went for simple eggs on toast which I regretted as soon as I saw my friend's Avocado on toast. Looking forward to trying it next time.
Love their crunch rice! Got recommended by the staff and didn't expected the well mixed flavor. If you come to Raglan, do not miss this place. It will definitely give you a lovely experience.
Great classic kiwi cafe with a great selection of food. Coffee very strong which was perfect to start the day.
Had the Onesie breakfast and was light yet filling. Didn't slow me down for the morning
Good selection of healthy brunch options and the 2 dishes I had were both delicious. Also pretty dog friendly. Have to say coffee could be better though.
We thoroughly enjoyed lunch at The Shack today. The Cafe was buzzing and very busy - saying that, the service was absolutely top notch. Our coffee arrived within 5 minutes of sitting at our table. Our lunch may have been 5-7 minutes later. Absolutely delicious.
