Beautiful back beer garden with birds singing. Smash Burger with fries (crispy on the outside, soft inside like how fries should be) was excellent and service was top notched. Excellent Non-alcoholic smoothies available too.
Fantastic beer garden out the back!! Wonderful place to bring the family, great food and atmosphere. If you're a craft beer lover, they have many on tap and in the fridge. Best smashed avo and grilled cheese sandwiches.
Blew my mind, i always wanted to go and try this place after seeing it on tv and they did not disappoint. Was that good even, i went straight back the next day. 🤔 oh and the wait time was unbelievable! So quick. Recommend sitting outside too. First time was eggs bene and smash burger and chips, second day was eggs bene again and big breakfast with two shakes. Sooooo good whanau, tino reka, rawe!
Nailed it. If ever there was a quintessential Kiwi hospitality venue this would be it. Great atmosphere, not too posh, not too rough. Excellent garden bar for those warmer months. Great service, super fast and yum and good value which is hard to find these days. Generous portions at half the price you’d find at some Auckland venues. Impressed by the variety of options available for those with special dietary requirements too. 14 craft beers on tap including their own excellent brews. Over 200 Kiwi craft beers of all styles available from the fridge to crack open there or takeaway along with a decent selection of ciders and wine. It’s not a huge venue but doesn’t feel crowded and they somehow also fit in a great variety of merchandise and yummy snacks. I even found $1 mixed bags of lollies for the kids! Just like the old days! It simply had it all. Go there, try it, chill out and honour this great Kiwi institution.

They get everything right. Uniquely crafted food, perfect coffee, delicious and affordable cocktails, a huge range of crafted beers and drinks. The smoothies look thick and awesome. Have eaten here twice in the last week and both times it was sensational. Super fast service without any compromise on quality, just well staffed for the business. Turkish Eggs were perfection. Smash burger is incredible (weekends only) Bloody Mary with bacon with lots of delicious spiced and salted McClure Pickles (will ask for extra spicy next time). Espresso Martini (YUM). Cheesecake has the most amazing crumb base and the filling full of flavour and it is not too sweet, the perfect desert or coffee treat without the sugar knockout. Coffee beans for home and they smell amazing! Destination eating. Enjoy a local, easy 30 minute beautiful waterfall loop walk just around the corner to burn off any cake eaten, and watch the rafters go over the waterfall. (Take your car with you around the corner, to the trail head car park, as parking is needed for next cafe patrons if you are there on the weekend! ) This is a local treasure and not to be missed. You will not find anything as good in town. It also offers wholistic household items, some tasty take home frozen and fresh foods, wine, and a few other little treasures. Indoor and outdoor dining.

An ever-evolving array of divine New Zealand artisan foods and beauty products fill every available bit of space in the Store. Perusing the shelves is an experience in itself 😍
Unfortunately it seemed a downpour ⛈️🌩 was coming and I wanted to get back to my accommodation before the rain hit, so I didn't order anything 😔
Great little shop! Snacks, tons of craft beer to choose from, great toasties! The PCB (pineapple coconut banana) smoothie was fantastic!

Had coffees, scrambled eggs and hot cakes.. Absolutely delicious! Everything was perfect, awesome service, great little place. A must visit if you're in the area!

hands down the best toastie I have ever had. I drove half an hour to try this famous toastie, and it was totally worth it. great service and a nice setting too. cheers!
edit: I have been here several times and tried many dishes, and the food and service is consistently top notch. i highly recommend this Cafe!
